Lord VaderJurassic Park ForumSpinosaurus vs Fence. Could It Do It?

That Spinosaurus could smash through anything, as long as it wasn't wooden. If I were stuck on Isla Sorna, I'd carry a stick for protection against Spinosaurus.

It could smash through a reinforced steel fence designed to keep dinosaurs out, but a small, wooden door is a bit much.

Oh, and a tree.

I'm gonna bet a kick from an Albertosaurus would hurt a good bit.

I like Hammonds response to his mentioning mosasaurs and pterosaurs.

Definetly an animal to fear. 30+ feet long, 3 - 4 tons, and that odd appearance..

I'm gonna close this due to redundency. Nothing personal, it's just business.

I know what you mean, but this concept was more general than that. I'm talking in a perfect world. I know in the movie the fence may have been 20 years old, but I'm saying in general. The point of the scene was to show that the Spinosaurus was nearly unstoppable.  They wanted to show this titan of the Cretaceous could do anythng, even smash through a reinforced steel fence. Would you like me to share the presentation with you?

I don't doubt your thinking... Nor your calculations, However...

What about Metal Fatigue, Rust, ageing, And other Atributes from the enviroment?

i agree with paden, we might see animals that lived along side the dinosaurs (mosasaurs, pterosaurs, giant prehistoric sharks, etc.) but the Triassic animals, the DNA just isn't there.

x_paden_xJurassic World ForumEarlier life forms?

Well, Seeing how Cloning dinosaurs alone is a HUGE Stretch... I doubt Earlier Life forms would have much DNA Surviving... The dinosaurs didn't have much, And most of them were from the Creatacous (The dilo came from the early Trassic, And because of how little Dilo DNA was recovered, The frog DNA Mutated the few Dilo Strands)

I feel that other Prehistoric species, would wreck the Jurassic Park Franchise...

Man fears Reptilian things, Not warm blooded Mammoths...

UCMP Probably would've taken First, Had he broken his story into paragraphs.

This challange is to help Imrove the writers on JW Forum, Although most of you are fairly Expirenced.

Actually Carnosaur, this guy was found in rock dating back to 66 million years ago. Tarbosaurus, Alioramus, and Z-Tyrannus all lived about 80 million years ago during the Mid-Late Cretaceous. So actually this animal is not an adult Alioramus as it lived some 14 million years after it. The snout just shows it was related to it. Plus it doesn't have the horny bumps on it's snout like Alioramus did.

Alioramus

I'm just happy the winner wasn't Tyrannosaurus or Spinosaurus.

I got to say, I agree with your sizes. That said, I find the result to be very expected. 2 or 3 Gigas would be one thing, but 7 sends it over the edge.

This is just great. You are exceptionally good at writing and don't worry, you're just as good with action from what I've seen so far.

Wow, I didn't expect to be second. This is... I don't know what to say. Well, you all did very well. I have to agree on Mr.Happy's placement. I wasn't expecting to be this high up. It was a lot of fun writing my story and reading your stories. I hope that we'll be able to do something similar some time soon.

I think they can do it because pteranodons aren't dinosaurs and they appeared in the movies, and I would love to see other prehistoric creatures in the park.

Peter ZanettiJurassic World NewsAndy Buckley has Joined the Jurassic World Cast!

Not the least bit excited about the cast, I must say. Vincent D'Onofrio and BD Wong are the only real actors in the entire thing, and they are far from the top 3 billed names in terms of screen time.

Chris Pratt as a main protagonist is a huge disappointment.

Bryce Dallas Howard is a terrible actress, so casting her as a lead scientist or Dino handler just sucks.

These are not the people I envision in such roles. I don't want people who can't pull off believable relationships with dinosauria  If all the characters cant even pronounce the names and end up calling them by nicknames or something else equally stupid, I'm going to call out Trevarrow for that failure.

Actually, I was expecting result, considering there were 7 Giganotosaurus and 2 Tyrannosaurs, and 1 Spinosaurus. That was pretty much a 7 vs 3 with one of the three turning on his buddy.

Interesting fight anyway.

In all fairness, I was expecting to be second to UCMP. I agree with results however, and nice marking system.

I thought the cliff hanger would be an interesting way to leave off in case of a second Day in the Life of story.

Spino's likely being Quadrupal while on the Relax mode and Bipedal while on Hunting mode, and probably the Claws are Retractable, so it wouldn't be a problem, just like most of the Big predator today, their claws are pretty much Retractable,

X_PADEN_X - I agree, MR.HAPPY9097 and PRIMAL KING really pulled out all the stops with their entries! That being said, I think everyone did a fantastic job - I very much enjoyed reading them all! Thank you very much for hosting such a neat competition; it's really livened things up a bit! :)

I will tie it in, because it will add more detail to my story. One more question, did Hammond go see Dinosaurs first or did he visit the staff first?

Reply
x_paden_xJurassic World ForumHammonds Entrence: DWC Park Staff, Beginning.

Nah, You can do whatever.

I stated that, hammond was introduced to some of the "Regulars" For a reason, They are the ones that get around the park more...

You can do whatever, It'll just be bonus points, If it fits in with the prequels.

Gojira2KJurassic World ForumHammonds Entrence: DWC Park Staff, Beginning.

Do we have to follow the order in which the staff are listed? And are the staff all there or is he just listing who they are going to be seeing on the tour? I have almost finished mine, so it will be easy to fix.
