jurassicparkourJurassic World ForumWhat Dinosaur Species do you want in JP4 ?
Eiher Predator X or the Monster of Aramberri in a major role... but maybe some major Carnotaur and Troodon action too. Keep the old guys (rex, raptors, brachios, spinos, etc.), but introduce Pachyrhinosaurus and Allosaurus in a fight scene, like the 2013 toys.

Males were probably more colorful than females. Like modern birds. Perhaps Spinosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Stegosaurus, and others could change the color of their plates/sails by pumping blood into them. I bet the crests of dinosaurs like Allosaurus and others had a splash of color. Birds and crocodilians can see in color, so it's likely dinosaurs could too. Actually, it's a Hatsan Escort AimGaurd top folding stock. It's close to a SPAS 12 though, which is why I'm getting that for a shotgun. We will never know what they actually fully look like until we get a very well preserved specimen... OR ( the more exciting way) We go and genetically create the creatures (FUN)

Being optimistic, I get to Troodon. Give me something realistic for this challenge, I could get far. I am getting one of these, and could probably get far with it. First of all, this didn't require a discussion. What you do is go to your profile, and there should be an option to change profile picture. You click that, and then a thing will appear that will give you the option to choose existing or take a picture. If you hit choose existing, it will go to your pictures, and just choose one and hit update picture (or something similar). Then you just have to wait for it to change.

Aw sad Deltadromeus lost but still a good fight. The outcome was predictable but everything else was great

Yeah, I like both. I just like Rex a bit more. Spino is top 5 for me though.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Spino was strong.

The forgotten kingDinosaurs ForumT-rex and Speed
I believe T-Rex would probably note chase its prey but probably ambush using a short burst of speed to surprise prey,i don't think it was built for long distance.

Also sinosauropteryx was orange and white ,they know this cause they studied the fossilized pigment.

That's a good depiction of Spinosaurus and it feels right. I can just picture a real Spinosaurus having that pattern and everything.

DinoFightsDinosaurs ForumCould Tyrannosaurus Coexist With Late Jurassic-Early Late Cretaceous Carnivores?
A bunch of giant cretaceous theropods could coexist with little problem but the jurassic theropods, like you said, disturb the peace. Allosaurus maximus and amplexus rivaled Torvosaurus/Edmarka and would have competed. Already rivals you add carcharodontosaurs, abelisaurs, tyrannosaurs and such in and Torvosaurus is competing with everyone being that it was sort of an ace of all trades. Its jaws could slice sauropods but could also crush armor. Spinosaurs get a good deal here disregarding Spinosaurus itself. It's the only spinosaur that would be able to compete directly with other land predators but even then it has the luxury of being near water and being able to go for either food source: dinosaurs or water animals. Major problems if you throw Torvosaurus and Saurophaganax in the mix but the other predators probably could get along more often than not, having separate niches. Familiar conflict is most likely (Tyrannotitan vs Mapusaurus vs Carcharodontosaurus vs Giganotosaurus vs Sauroniops, Suchomimus vs Phobodon vs Spinosaurus, Ekrixinatosaurus vs Rajasaurus, etc.) If you throw Tarbosaurus and Zhuchengtyrannus in the mix they would share a relation to Tyrannosaurus that Mapusaurus shares with Giganotosaurus: very similar in length but lighter in weight. I have no idea what Deltadromeus/Bahariasaurus' niche was, but I imagine it was cheetah-like. Overall this could be very much like Africa today. Lion: Carcharodontosaurs Leopard: Large abelisaurs Vulture: Small abelisaurs Spotted hyena: Tyrannosaurus Cheetah: Bahariasaurus Crocodile: Spinosaurs

A few things I like in particular 1. The Deltadromeus mating ritual. Very creative! 2. The Deltadromeus having a strange color pattern 3. The Discovery Documentary part. It's probably what would happen if dinosaurs were brought back to life. 4. The possible symonymization of Bahariasaurus and Deltadromeus you mentioned 5. The crest taunting was a cool mental image 6. Countless other things. GREAT JOB!

Well we already know the color of a few dinosaurs. Sinornithosaurus I think was orange and black from fossilized pigmentation and Microraptor was black. I'm sure there's another but yeah. Many dinosaurs, like Spinosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Irritator and Oxalaia had colorful ridge/sails if anything. It just seems likely for some reason. I would be really surprised if Spinosaurus didn't look like this Their closest relatives -birds and lizards- are colorful most of the time so I don't see why they wouldn't be.

I do agree that they tyrannosaurs would kill each other for kills but spinosaurus didn't really need to he could catch fish easily ,maybe during a drought they would though

If you look at it,why do we argue about this, can't we just appreciate these amazing creatures, the truth is an even match 50% for each, plus they would never fight cause they lived in separate places.

I'm glad you reconsidered your opinions. Happy to see you looking into it more. Honestly, this is the last thing I'm gonna say against Spinosaurus, it's jaws were not very powerful. I did a discussion about theropod bite forces. Strong, but not for it's overall size. Anyways, I don't dislike Spinosaurus. I just think people believe the Spinosaurus from JP III and Monsters Resurrected to be the real animal, when in life, it was more like the one from Planet Dinosaur. Perhaps not exact, depends on your viewpoint, but close.

It's not that we dislike Spino, it's just that we like Rex better, and in our opinion, could beat Spino in a fight. You did say two disadvantages for Rex. You said slow, and you said only head and neck muscular.
