I think it will....I would like to back RexFan on this...the first movie...raptors were villains....died.

2nd movie....Well it was the Rexes until later...they sorta changed to anti-heroe....the hunters were more the villain...though they didn't seem like that...they were in some viewers eyes....

3rd Spino lived....the raptors sort of were, but was more spino (Who I think was more a movie monster....and I am a spino fan....he's my fav dino in the series...)

But yeah It will in some way....

So I think D-Rex will die. (Hopefully not by the T-Rex because then it's gonna be the whole "killed by the true king" cliche thing.)

@Gojira2K- Even then the CGI for the new Transformers was terrible. It looked extremely fake, very detailed but still very fake. I am sure the CGI will get better for Jurassic World but what I am tyring to say is that it needs the same feel the Original Jurassic Park and The Lost World did.

@Something Real- Yes, that's what I am trying to get across- this movie needs to have very close effects of the original, which is what I fear will not happen...

@Paden- Very good points, and I did make sure to consider the following. I can't believe they really used green screen for the control room... Seriously? No wonder it seemes so shiny and... just unreal a bit. I mean the control room in Jurassic Park was so real because it was real, and now I'm being told CGI is being used for a computer room...

I was also suspicious of that- only ONE leak of an animiatronic being used. I have a feeling that was put there to make fans not worry about the CGI< anyway...

They are going for nostalgia effect and it is being lost, I mean for Pete's sake the control room is fake...

Well a lot of times unfinished things are put for the world to see, such as videoo games, medicine, music albums, books, etc.

@UCMP- I'm sorry but I can't see why you would think the CGI dinosaurs are superior to the real ones in Jurassic Park, I mean the CGI is too shiny, unrealisitc, it goes on and on. Even the robot dinosaurus had more detail in my opinion...

I know a lot of the iconical scenes was used by using CGI- so why can't a trailer 20 years ahead be far more superior? Just some food for thought.

@Carnosaur- I mean I am sure it isn't going to be a let down but I'm just worried it won't be close to the effects of the original- still I will look to enjoy the movie itself, not the effects mainly, but I hope you get what I mean.

I think so. It's the main villain after all. You're right, Rexy and the T.rex parents didn't die, but they aren't considered the main villains. In those movies, the raptors are. They're more of anti-heroes. 

I believe, in the end, the D-Rex will die.

I'd prefer seeing the three battle, and as the D. Rex goes to finish off the Spinosaurus, the Tyrannosaurus grabs it by the neck and slams it against the Mosasaur Lagoon fence a few times. As the disoriented creature tries to escape, the Tyrannosaurus pushes the D. Rex into the tank, where the creature meets its end at the jaws of the mosasaur.

I like terror birds, especially Phorousrhacos. The saber-tooth cat comes in at second.

Not sure if it counts, but hell's pigs, the entelodonts, have always been cool. If not, then either the Direwolf or Haast's Eagle.

I'd be ok with all of them except for 1. I think 1 is the worst option, closely followed by 2. My favorite however, is option 3, but with the mosasaur lagoon in the end.

REX FAN 684 - I'm extremely interested in seeing what this "Rex Redemption" concept truly is! There's no doubt about the fact that I want to see Rexy reaffirm her place as dominant predator; however, I don't want it to seem shoehorned into the film or be a blantant instance of pandering to the T-Rex fans. With that being said, I'll be the first cheer Rexy on as she stomps her opposition into bloody gobbers! :)

My favorite is megalania a 2ton lizard that ruled australia, the gaint ground sloth, the Haast's eagle An egale that preyed on Moas, Don't know if this counts but Megaldon The largest shark ever.

Also about the volcanoes rising over night, ever heard of Anak Krakatau?

I'm sorry, but if you have a problem with the volcano complain to Colin Trevorrow, not me. I didn't make Jurassic World. Also about the Troodons, I don't think the Costa Rican Environmental Protection Society would be to happy with there being Troodons left on the island after the incident do to a disruption in the food-chain. Though it is still unlikely the Bribri survived.

REX FAN 684 - I've always felt that the Marsupial Lion was an incredibly neat, if not extremely unsettling, animal! I doubt it was as cute and cuddly as a Koala Bear! :)

These are a lot of Ideas.

I'm just saying, it's very difficult to hide a population on an island like this, There would be no where to hide. They've been Monitoring the island since 1994, After clean up. 

There's a chance, Yes, they could hide in the caves...

But it's unlikely... These caves are empty, but they are probably very Un-hospitable, And there's an even Likelier chance that the Troodons might've picked them off.

Aswell, During the construction, Someone would've had to have noticed them...

From what i heard, its pretty much true that we can clone dinosaurs like they did in jurassic park, but the funding is not the problem actually, its just that scientists are still unable to find the needed dna, it is said that its really hard to obtain 100,000 year old dna, how much more is a million? a 65 million?. . and yep amber doesnt really work.

well i remember somebody said that its a picture of the spino skeletons shadow so maybe its when the t-rex smashes into it? the skeleton is near the t-rex kingdom i believe

It takes a Super SUPER, Large amount of Genetic knowlede, More then to just make the dinosaurs them selves, To narrow down Genetics of other Speices and add them to the Code.

If you had super Hyper intelligent Space alien understanding of Genetics, You could probably do this, Narrowing each down for each thing...

But, We are not Hyper intelligent space Aliens. 

We have a fair current understanding of genetics, We can acheive Dinosaurs today (We just need the funding). 

This is the more real side of Sci-Fi, JP Was inspired off of the fact that we had found a Signifigant amount of DNA In a T-Rex femur when It had to be cut in half. 

The reason this series has had so much love, Is the same reason Tim hortons shouldn't have sold out to Burger king.

i get the point, and i agree its technically possible given the pic and the name rex, theres no telling to what rex its really referring till we've actually seen the movie, but as you said its hard to imagine why it should be applicable for the d-rex, thus narrowing its actual possibility.
