So what are your favorite Ice Age animals? I have two favorites personally. My second favorite is the Terror Bird...

Even though dinosaurs no longer ruled the Earth, in some places they were still large, apex predators.

And my favorite is the Dire Wolf...

I love wolves(my favorite modern day animal in fact), so giant, prehistoric versions are right up my alley.

What about all of you?

Probably Arctodus, or the "Short Faced Bear". The thing I love about Ice age animals is that you can imagine humans meeting SOME of them, with Dinosaurs you can't do that.

Well, you could imagine it, but that's all it'd be(your imagination) ;)

True. Although I kind of wish Humans never came over to the America's, I personally think that it was humans that caused the Ice Age Megafauna to go extinct. Though, thats just me. Then again if humans never came over there could be a saber-toothed cat trying to break into my house right now wanting to eat me, though luckily their extinct, if there was one it would come up behind me right now and ea-wkutdyf3467t`278et333eew7t8drtewioyfurw7ydtcfc

My faves are the Woolly Mammoth, the American Lion, the South American Smilodon (thanks to Walking With Prehistoric Beasts), and Phorusrachos.

But there are many others that I really like too, such as the Enteledont, Indricothere, and Hyaenodon.

REX FAN 684 - I've always felt that the Marsupial Lion was an incredibly neat, if not extremely unsettling, animal! I doubt it was as cute and cuddly as a Koala Bear! :)

Not sure if it counts, but hell's pigs, the entelodonts, have always been cool. If not, then either the Direwolf or Haast's Eagle.

Here, have a waffle (-'.')-#

I like terror birds, especially Phorousrhacos. The saber-tooth cat comes in at second.

@Original Poster.

I hate to be that guy but Terror Birds were long extinct before the Ice Age. Its not your fault since 10,000 BC the movie wasn't even bothering with accuracy, they wanted something dinosaur like so they stuck it in the film but yeah Terror Birds are not Ice Age animals.

Favorite Ice Age animal for is Panthera leo atrox, Columbian Mammoth since its a texan native like myself, and Smilodon fatalis
