^Thanks for the clarification, in my story's i do tend to bunch the Dinos together. Thank you about the Carnosaur part however.
Great story!!!
One thing, pachies lived in late cretacious, as did carnotaurus. I figured that that was intentional however. Carnosaurs are a reference to a classification of carnivorous theropod by tooth. Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus being classic examples.
Just in case you didn't know ????
*sigh. i really dont understand why they keep calling this Jurassic World 2. as if Jurassic World was the first film in some seperate or alternate franchise. jurassic world is jurassic park 4. its not some seperate franchise, or a reboot or remake. its jp4. why cant they just say 'the next jurassic park film', 'jurassic park 5', or even 'the follow up sequel to jurassic world'. every site i see calls it 'jurassic world 2'. jurassic world may be the start of a new trilogy, but that doesnt make it the first film in the franchise. i really hope they dont officially title it Jurassic World 2. i much prefer considering it the fourth jurassic park film. not the original film of a completely seperate series. is there anyone out there who doesnt recognize jurassic world as being a part of the jurassic park franchise? is there really that many people who consider jurassic world to be a film independent of the previous movies that is something other than a sequel?
Unfortunately, I've never payed attention to this.
As soon as I read this last night, I thought of starting a discussion. It is interesting.
As I see it, G2 has to:
1) Bring it's A Game and really deliver. I think most of us have been in agreement on this since they announced the sequel minutes after the first one premiered. It cannot be 2014 redux.
2) They really need to market and sell the crap out of it to convince those people who were disappointed/underwhelmed by the first, a great many of whom were not G-Fans to begin with. Many won't be first in line this time around and will wait to hear/read reviews (online and friends) before seeing it (I'm looking at you in the mirror, KoldWarKid).
This movie will really have those first two weeks to do it's damage and unless it delivers the goods, it could be light's out.
I was wondering why on Earth Legendary, who has their mitts in both projects, would possibly two of their own movies against each other. But seeing the gap between them in June, it makes more sense. I wouldn't risk being a tentpole movie in the weeks between them.
Name: Sagitareasaurus
Size: 2 meters bigger than a velociraptor In every dimension.
Hybrid of: Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, Cuttlefish.
Diet: Mostly fish, but also medium size land animals. Usually human friendly.
This Dino is extremely fast, and its mouth is madr to pierce through anything quickly. The way of hunting of Sagitereasaurus is quickly sprinting into the prey and pierce right through its body and then eating the rest. Fun fact: Humans are totally able to pet them, and they seem to be pretty friendly at them.
awesome news, thanks Evans :D
I kinda miss the heated Rex vs. Spino discussions of the old days. Gives me nostalgia
I joined when I Google Jurassic park 4. This website came up, an I saw Rex Fans discussion on the top ten most ferocious dinosaurs. I signed up so I could talk dinosaurs with other people and I've stayed on since. Also became a pretty good friend with rex fan
This sounds a lot like the lost world. This could either be really cool or fail miserably. Let's see how it turns out.
EVAN123 - Indeed! Well spoke, my friend! :)
SOMETHING REAL - It's great to back, thank you, and I'm more that happy to share this news, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us this time!
EVAN123 - Welcome back! It is so very good to see you again! I am very intrigued by the information you have presented; I certainly can not wait to begin hypothesising on what the future film might hold! Thank you ever so much for taking the time to share this with us! :)
How very excellent. :)
See but over has to remember that the largest of the Asian Tyrannosaurs (that being Tarbosaurus) is comparable in size to Abelisaurus. Such an animal only stands at about six feet tall, kind of retaining a reverse therapod posture. If this animal is indeed it's own species, it's gonna be in a league of it's own
So Spielberg liked the script...
I liked a lot TLW especially the San Diego scenes(and I would recommend a similar scene for JW sequel), JP3 make me just love the spino as kid, although the movie didnt affect me to change from Trex to Spino because I still love spino in the updated version, I was a fan of spino way before the movie I liked him from the time I got it's toys, but as many on the forum said it was not something majestic, it was a plot had nothing to do with the JP background. For me it was just a dinosaur movie with a poor fight and a JP character nothing more. I have to admit that Velociraptor design in JP3 was awesome instead that plain colour with big eyes crap in JW, JP and TLW, I wonder why they reject it in JW :/
It was a good fight, but I was kind of disappointed seeing my favorite dinosaur lose.
Also, a little voice in me was screaming at the grammar (I hate grammar errors).
BREAKING NEWS: FROM TOMMOROW ON, 1 CHAPTER OF JURASSIC WORLD: EXTINCTION WILL COME OUT
Final Addon To Something Real's Post, It's Name Is The Millenium Rex
Or You Could Tell Me If You Want Me To Draw It.
To Awnser Your Question, I Have To Tell You That I'm Writing A Story Called, "Jurassic World: Extinction", Were He Will Be Featured In It, Along Side New And Jurassic World The Game Raptor Hybrids. But I Will Be Fine With Someone Bringing This Idea To A Drawing On The Site, As Long As They Feature Somewhere Saying Original Idea By SWORDSAM.
SCI-FI KING25 - Oh, how neat! That was a very engaging chapter in your series! I very much like the fact that you are utilizing the Mosasaurus as the focal character for this section - and I certainly hope she manages to end her plight! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us! :)
As for my update- King of Jurassic Park, the upcoming fght I'm writing- a four way battle between raptors, Rexy, Spinosaurus, and the Indominus rex- WILL happen, but not for a bit. I'm waiting on a drawing to go with the fight, and I have to finish planning it. My original ending was way too similar to Jurassic World, so I'm slightly editing it.
Also, read below-
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MOSASAURUS? YOU DECIDE!!!
That's right! I'm letting readers decide on the fate of the Mosasaurus. Also, Blue and a surprise guest will return in the next chapter. ;)
SWORD SAM - Certainly! This sounds extremely neat! However, I am curious as to what media you wish to utilize to bring about your creation - you did not specify. Are you going to draw this hybrid? Regardless, I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us! :)
Good job man! The only thing that could be a problem, is that your punctuation could use a tiny bit of work. But I'm kind of a stickler about that. But that's it. Story was great and how they fought is pretty accurate.
Awesome! The more giant carnivores the better.
Oh Yeah, GMAN, If I Chose The Lost World I'd Bring Out The Same Case As You.
JP3, And Iwatched The Lost World Two Days Before I Made This Commment, Oh By The Way, I Hade To Put This As My Picture.
Good fight, it was nice that you put a lot of detail into it. Although I recommend taking a quick glance over your work before posting to better assure the quality of it.
GORILLAGODZILLA - You are most welcome! :)
The answer is expectations. When you make sequels to one of the greatest blockbusters in cinema history, the comparison is going to be harsh. Some here may be too young to remember, but I saw the original Jurassic Park in theaters. None of the sequels were the event that the first movie was-- Even the new film. It was all that movie fans, kids and merchandising firms could think about for a year and a half. You couldn't escape it no matter where you turned.
The Lost World was at one point, and likely still is by a vocal minority, considered Spielberg's worst film. (They've clearly never seen 1941.) I think that opinion has softened over the years and the film is looked at more favorably by general audiences/critics.
Really, none of the sequels remotely tap the level that Jurassic Park is at, but that's okay. They're good movies in their own right. Not great movies, but fun and they carry on the franchise name with some respect.
I for one think The Lost World is the next best movie in the franchise while the other two are neck and neck for 3rd place.
Profden,
I noticed that and immediately thought it to have coincided with the original name. I'm not sure what the post-production staff was thinking here, giving it a "D" instead of an "I", but I have a hard time believing that a movie of this scale let that 'oops' moment slip by.
JPJoe,
Great comparison. Never noticed that.
Easily The Lost World. It's simply a better made film. I don't think Jurassic Park 3 is as bad as some people here, but The Lost World has a stronger sense of wonder and scale. The action scenes are directed more competently and, unlike Jurassic Park 3, there doesn't always have to be a dinosaur on-screen to evoke a sense of danger.
It's a little long in the tooth, but Spielberg makes up for that by book ending slow sequences with interesting and exciting scenes. And Malcolm made an excellent lead character.
The Lost World all the way.
^I didn't notice that. If I see JW a third time I'll look for it
