MemberCompsognathusJul-23-2015 7:05 PMSo the Jurassic park raptors aren't the most accurate depiction. This isn't surprising to most enthusiasts on the topic. However, were the dinosaurs made more accurate in Jurassic World? Let's take a look. First off, and most glaring on the Jp raptors is that Velociraptor was not six feet tall. They're actually based off of utahraptors. In the skull of these movie monsters the pre-maxilla bone is too blocky. Think of the velociraptors pre-maxilla as more of a wedge. The pre-frontal bone is too pronounced and the pubic bone is to far forward. Velociraptor had more of a pot belly stature. The Jp raptors don't bear incredible resemblance to utahraptors even, and instead are more like Dienonychids, which had a block likee pre maxilla and a more upright stature. So tell me guys. Did the JW raptors Fix this? Or did they just embrace the inaccuracies?
