well delta the amount of individual variation in tyrannosaurs is immense for example wrankel rex has extremely small eye balls and arms etc. but you can't consider it another genus or what if it had just been distorted?
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forumc rex and f rex mystery ..... solved for good!!!Oct 25, 2013
Well, I could. The skull wasn't as sloped as it normally is. Not as much as a Carcharodontosaurs, but more than your average Tyrannosaurus rex.

yes dino steve you are right i also could not see the carcharodontosaur features there they 100% tyrannosaur.

Is there a link or links or pictures or something that you could give us to prove it. I believe things pretty easily, but I know that other people don't. Is there something you could show us to back up what you said or something? Maybe even a picture of C Rex's tooth would be nice.

Cool, that proves Rex Fan's and my theory. I just thought from the beginning they were T-rexes. Sincerelly I couldn't see the carcharodontosaurid features in their skull :P

I think Torvo is about 7 tons instead of a good 9. But still, that means a bigger skull. I think it bites with about 5 tons of force. Tarbo and Torvo both have kinda thin skulls, and Torvo, being a Megalosaur, has a pretty bad bite. I bet that they could do about the same amount of damage.

Just read it. Very interesting article. It could prove Torvo was maybe as long as Sue, but I still think not as heavy ;)

Oh no! We're doomed!
Also, I like more T-rex as single animal, but a coalition between dromaeosaurids and T-rex would be just... UNSTOPPABLE!!!
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forumc rex and f rex mystery ..... solved for good!!!Oct 25, 2013
Wow, that's cool. I didn't think that they where Tyrannosaurus rex. They did have a sudo Carcharodontosaur skull, not a T. rex skull. I classify T x as a different species, but I wonder, wasn't t x lighter than T. rex? If so, than C rex and F rex would only be about as heavy, even though 5 feet longer.

Hundered of raptors running at a city followed by t rexes with giant guns on their backs. And lots of giant guns too. God, we are all dead.

I saw that Torvo does have a head like you guys said. Man, that means he is probably around 42 feet, and maybe 7-7.5 tons. Man, I'm likening this guy more and more every minute.

I agree. I saw that you copied that from the guy from theropods wiki. He apparently found that. It moves me a bit further to believe that this is true.

Here's an interesting info:
A GIANT ABELISAURID THEROPOD FROM THE LATEST CRETACEOUS OF NORTHERN TURKANA, KENYA SERTICH
African fossil record of Cretaceous non-marine vertebrates has expanded significantly over the past two decades. However, these discoveries have been limited to Lower and middle Cretaceous horizons with a conspicuous absence of fossils from the latest Cretaceous, an interval of prolonged African isolation. Recently recovered vertebrate fossils from the Lapurr Mountains of northwestern Turkana, Kenya, comprise the first definitive non-marine fauna from this critical terminal Cretaceous interval. This diverse fauna from the Lapurr sandstone (“Turkana Grits”) has been dated to the Maastrichtian and includes crocodyliforms, pterosaurs, and dinosaurs. Though fragmentary, the dinosaur record includes at least two iguanodontian ornithopods, three macronarian sauropods, and two large theropods. Here we report on one of these theropods, a new abelisaurid that significantly expands the upper limits of body size in ceratosaurians and represents the youngest diagnostic dinosaur material yet reported from the Afro-Arabian continent. The new taxon is known from multiple isolated specimens including portions of the skull, axial column, and appendicular skeleton. Referral of unassociated remains to a single taxon is based on morphological consistency and on the recovery of specimens from a narrow stratigraphic and geographic area. A comprehensive phylogenetic analysis substantiates referral of the new Kenyan taxon to Abelisauridae based, among other features, on the presence of a tall, rugose premaxilla, an anteroventrally inclined posterior border of the postorbital, and a prominent dorsal projection of the parietals and supraoccipital. An associated partial skull is strongly coossified, with a thickened but weakly sculptured skull roof. Unlike many other abelisaurids, no prominent cranial ornamentation is evident. As in other ceratosaurians, the astragalocalcaneum is completely coossified and displays a prominent transverse sulcus on the anteroventral surface. Like other abelisaurids, the ascending process is low and subrectangular, separated from the anterior surface of the astragalus by a distinct fossa. Comparison of preserved elements with those of other, more complete abelisaurids indicates that the new taxon likely exceeded 11-12 meters in length. Furthermore, the presence of a large- bodied abelisaurid in the Kenyan fauna parallels many other Late Cretaceous Gondwanan faunas, reflecting global early Late Cretaceous turnover from allosauroid and spinosaurid dominated ecosystems."
Well, it is neother official or confirmed by an official source, but it's interesting :)

So why do we see Saurophaganax being about as long as Tyrannotitan?
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forum"The Predator" Found? T. Rex-Sized Abelisaur UnearthedOct 25, 2013
An, she wasn't there. At least I don't think. Last I heard (from DinoFights) she had found an Ouranosaurus foot, which means she's probably somewhere around morocco or Egypt.

T-rex for me.

Raptors are cool, but like the others said, they could not hit 70 mph in real life. Most estimates put their top speed at about 40-50 mph. T-rex could also run roughly 15-25 mph. Fast for an animal that outweighs a modern elephant.
T-rex= Brawn
Raptor= Brain
Both Together= Hell on Earth ;)

That's a pretty cool idea. It would be really cool if the time was adjustable (real time, 4x time, 10x time, and 1/2 time for example).
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumTREX OR RAPTOR?Oct 24, 2013
The best would be if they were to hunt side by side. Rex and Deinonychus, alone they are impressive, together they would be unstoppable killing machines.

I started a discussion about T-rex and Velociraptor. Waiting for it to be accepted. Could you comment on it when it's up?

BOTH! their the best hunters that ever walk the earth! Because of there brains and brawn!
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumTREX OR RAPTOR?Oct 24, 2013
Rex, and Deltas right. Only 40 MPH, that would be impressive for any mid sized carnivore, let alone an Apex Predator.
ReplyJurassicFanaticJurassic Park Games ForumJurassic Park Operation Genesis 2?Oct 24, 2013
I love this game, but it could use a sequel. A submarine section with Elasmosaurus and Itchthyasaurus would be awesome. A pteranadon cage could be nice. I agree with the raptor sub-species idea. Hotels on the island would be really cool because 10 real seconds is one day, 30 is a month, 360 is a full year. Updated cars would be great. Like, a jeep for the rangers, or you could be a ranger on foot.
Better graphics. More equal battles between dinos. AND WAY WAY MORE DINOSAURS. About 50 would be cool. There should not be a dino limit. Different genders would be a great update for site B.
ReplyDeltadromeusJurassic World ForumTREX OR RAPTOR?Oct 24, 2013
Raptors. Also, T. rex can only run around 20-25 mph while raptors can run about 60 tops.

This is bizarre. Nothing to do with size, just strangeness, or if you prefer it, uniqueness. It's a reasonable list, and Spino did make the top three.

*facepalm*
Rex vs Spino is dead, that has been stated countless times. If you want to see out opinions, refer to previous discussions. If you're going say something, say its your opinion. Otherwise it just sounds like, "this is what I think, so this is what it is".
Thanks for stating your opinion on Rex, it's very helpful when people give their opinion on both in these thing. I'm not going to say anything, because everyone knows my opinions, and you can too by simply looking at previous discussions.
BTW, Welcome to scified, please enjoy the forums.
ReplyJurassicFanaticJurassic Park ForumRex vs SpinoOct 24, 2013
Spinosaurus would totaley win. As it is taller, it had longer legs. If it had longer legs, then it's faster. Also, Spinosaurus was pretty agile. Because of the spine, it's entire body was encased in muscle. It could twist it's entire body very quickly, like an eel. Spinos also had big, clawed arms.
ReplyJurassicFanaticDinosaurs ForumTop 10 Most Bizarre DinosaursOct 24, 2013
Spinosaurus is the #1. It is much much bigger than T-rex, not including the sail. Kinda reminds me of an oversized, bloodthirsty Ouranasaurus.

i think they defiantly need to make a new one, with todays advances in gaming we have the ability to make this game to its full potential.think of how badass it wold be to have a REALISTIC dino fighting game, were you can actually bite pieces off each other or claw the shit out of someone and the gash shows.i think this game has alot of potential if they stick to realism instead of a over the top scifi game
