Rex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forum"The Predator" Found? T. Rex-Sized Abelisaur UnearthedOct 23, 2013
Thanks MrHappy.
I'm not trying to be a downer or anything, I'm just saying perhaps we need to take this info with a really big grain of salt.
PS- I've ridden that ride at Disney World, haha

Interesting. Rex Fan does have good points though.

I agree. It didn't take long for Montana's Dueling Dinosaurs to hit the press. Or the 10 meter dinosaur found in Canada. This is bigger than the 10 meter dinosaur from Canada(literally and in terms of importance) and just as major as Montana's Dueling Dinosaurs. Why no articles or statements? Not saying it's not true, but there are a lot of holes in it.

Yeah, I've been to the AMNH, The Carnegie Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Institute, and The Maryland Science Center. The Carnegie is still my favorite. There's a good chance I'll get to go to the Academy of Sciences in Philadelphia next summer and they have a good dinosaur exhibit.

I agree with Rex Fan how is it that such random people are the ones announcing all these huge discoveries and i can never find anything on it... You would figure something this profound would be somewhere on the internet. and strangely enough a lot of times news like this does come from Deviant Art.

I think i remember reading it but can't remember all the details. Ever been to the American Museum of Natural History in NY? that's my favorite museum exhibit ever and kinda close to pennsylvania.

If there's an official statement or article about it, great. But if this is such a recent and important discovery, than I'm sorry, but how did some guy on Devian Art find out about it?
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs Forum"The Predator" Found? T. Rex-Sized Abelisaur UnearthedOct 23, 2013
Is there an article or anything about the discovery anywhere? I just searched "Tyrannosaur sized abelisaur" and "New Giant Abelisaur" on google but still no word on it. Either way this is awesome if anyone finds anything please post some info on it!
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forum"The Predator" Found? T. Rex-Sized Abelisaur UnearthedOct 23, 2013
It's more believable, but still. I haven't found any articles about it. The only info I've found so far has come from Devian Art and the guy on there has not given any sources of info about it. Where did he hear about it from? Who found it? Devian Art ain't exactly the most reliable source of info.

It is a very very very recent discovery. This one seems legit judging by who it's coming form though and it seems real. Horror mouth seemed too hard to believe from the start, but this one is probable to exist and now confirmed!

Nice. While I was there, I did a comparison between the T-rex they had and the Giga. I posted about it actually.

Let's not come back to these older discussions please :)
If you wish to talk about the outcome between a T-rex and a Spino in a fight, you should use the personal messages ;)

Yup Rex Fan! My favorite thing there is the Giganotosaurus!

Please tell me there is info backing this up other than this guy from Devian Art. Need I say, The Horror Mouth and company?

Papa Rex. You didn't prove anything. And this discussion, and all other discussion like this, are now dead. The only time T. rex vs Spino is now allowed is FBR. We all have our own thoughts it doesn't mean you or me is right, but we just don't agree.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forum"The Predator" Found? T. Rex-Sized Abelisaur UnearthedOct 23, 2013
Cool. Hmm, maybe Megloneotyrannus. Great new tyrant. Naaa, lets go with Megalthanatusaurus. Great death lizard. It sounds around 8 tons too. That would be a great contender for DinoFights.

I live near a town of about 40.000, but really, I'm in more of an old town next to the big one. Big yards, great for horses.
ReplySpix Macaw ZackJurassic Park ForumRex vs SpinoOct 23, 2013
A Spinosaurus Tooth/Teeth we're hollow and brittle, meaning they couldn't grasp and hold something for long without breaking. A Spinosaurus also had a long snout/mouth which mean't it couldn't hold up a lot of pressure. A Spinosaurus hands we're faced inward and very close to each other, they would have to unnaturally bend sideways to even hit something. A Spinosaurus may have eaten fish but that doesn't make it smart, It didn't have to hunt Ankylosaurus or Triceratops on a daily basis so it didn't require a lot of intelligence.
Tyrannosaurus Rex had teeth that we're the size of bananas and weren't hollow meaning that they wouldn't break easy, maybe lose though if struggle lasted.A Tyrannosaurus Rex also had Bacteria filled in it's mouth similar to a Komodo Dragon. A Tyrannosaurus Rex had a small mouth/snout but it was focused with a lot of muscles meaning that it had a considerable bite force. Hands don't really matter for Rexe's besides maybe grasping giant prey. A Rex usually hunted the so called Duck Billed Dinosaurs, but on rare occasions had to hunt Ankylosaurus and Triceratops, even fighting these animals most likely ended 50/50 with the Rex or Trike dying, since it required to hunt such dangerous prey, it had to develop a lot of intelligence, Most people say T.Rex, Raptor and then Troodon we're the most intelligence Dinos, probably we're.
Now to the fight,
If you guy's so kindly look back into the Spino vs Rex video, you see in the beginning of the fight the T.Rex put's his massive chompers with banana teeth, bacteria and thousands of pounds of bite force into the Neck of the Spino, that's instantly death for it, If you see the Plane hitting the Spino also, it hit the spine which would of immediately either weakened the Spino greatly or killed it, it did neither. Anyway, the Spinosaurus had the T.Rex neck in his mouth for a few seconds to long, it would have been hard to keep it in his mouth do to not a lot of pressure built to withstand in the mouth and break it's teeth. You also see the T.Rex manhandle the Spino into a tree, also hitting it's Spine.
Now that I proved the Rex would of won, Let me also put in that, People who say that Rex wasn't a Super Predator and was a scavenger, It takes quite a lot of food to keep up that body weight and size for the Rex, Scavenging wouldn't be able to suffice the Rex to keep it that size, meaning it's a Super/Apex Predator.

Ceratosaurus was the assassin, Torvosaurus was the knight(the largest were European after all), Raptors were the spies, Spinosaurus was the Pharaoh, Giganotosaurus was the Lord, and T-rex was the King, haha
So, back to the main topic at hand. You guys have any old theories?

ReplyThe forgotten kingDinosaurs ForumOld Dinosaur TheoriesOct 23, 2013
I get what you mean, I think torvosaurus was the knight sof the dinosaurs. And ceratosaurus...... I see him as the court jester because of his teeth which give it a devilish smile

That's pretty much Jurassic Park Origins, MrHappy

I was going to say that Rex Fan. Tyrannosaurus Rex literally translates to Tyrant Lizard King, so it's kinda hard to not say that Rex is the King.

I live near a small town in Ontario (Caledonia). Somewhere around 10 000 people tops I think.
I like country a lot, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Eric Church and Craig Morgan for starters.
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumCasting Calls in Louisiana!Oct 23, 2013
Notice how this went from casting and a possible actor, to who's the most badass in the franchise.
It is a shame Peck died. It would have been interesting to have a prequel showing the cloning of all the dinosaurs, raising them, building the park, etc.
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic World ForumCasting Calls in Louisiana!Oct 23, 2013
Yeah, I think Elba would be a good equivalent to Muldoon and Tembo. That kind of character is important to a good movie.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumCountry JP theme songOct 23, 2013
I love country music(including the newer stuff from guys like Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, etc).
Eustreptospondylus, you live in Baltimore! I was just there about 2 months ago. Have you ever been to the Maryland Science Center?
PS- I live in mid-sized town in Pennsylvania(Altoona). Pretty rural overall I suppose and I like it(big time outdoors-men).
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumOld Dinosaur TheoriesOct 23, 2013
Yes, SpinoBro, all the dinosaurs were amazing in their own right. However, Tyrannosaurus rex does mean tyrant lizard king for a reason ;)
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumOld Dinosaur TheoriesOct 23, 2013
Well, Rex's king of the dinosaurs, not because of size, but because it's just the most famous dinosaur. It's king in popular coulture, and it's very hard to change that. Other than this, you're right, all dinosaurs are amazing in their own way. :)
ReplyThe forgotten kingDinosaurs ForumOld Dinosaur TheoriesOct 23, 2013
How about there is no king of the dinosaurs, just because they are all amazing creatures, no matter the size. I would call Rex Tyrant of the North

Hmmm... I can see Trevorrow calculating everything JW to be perfect in his little desk, haha. Wow, I'd really love to see Idris Elba in Jurassic World. He was great in Prometheus and especially Pacific Rim, and could be a pretty badass character for JW

bob peck did a splendid job as muldoon, shame he died... Tembo, he was pretty B.A. but he didnt come close enough to muldoon...
now elba-- could work-- pretty B.A. character

I use to like some songs from rock/pop/whatever But y'know all the singers and stuff in music today do absolute horrible things... Miley cyrus is a prefect example... so is justin beiber.. and so many more-- BUT in country you dont see crazy people who's powers gone to their head...
what is wrong with the world today...?

I like country and classic music. Haha, I'm bit of a strange when it comes to music. All my friends and school-mates love rock or rap, and see me weird when I listen to classic. But I like it and that's all. :D
