so i have been scrolling lately through older posts and i read one that really interested me, the one where dinofights says that f rex and c rex are carcharodontosaurs at first glance i thought he was right, then i thought " if it really did exist then why are tyrannosaur fossils much richer than this giant." so i decided to start a thorough investigation. one thing that proved that sadly they weren't carcharosontosaurs is that the teeth fragments there were defintely tyrannosaur because they were rounded something only present in tyrannosaurs. by then i was starting to feel comfortable that they were just large tyrannosaurus rexes , but then again i had to be sure so i examined there other bone proportions there was only one creature that matched them tyrannosaurus X the mystery tyrannosaurus species. in another older discussion about that most of us agreed that those speciemens of X are proportionally longer than rex so by then i wanted to know even more. i read an article published by the man who started the x debate dr robert bakker where he mentioned that the x specimens were:
mor 980 aka riby rex= 11.9 m (39 ft) much shorter skull than sue relatively
mor 008 = 13.1 (43 ft ) m the largest known published trex 6% larger skull than sue smaller maxilla
stan= 12.1 m (40 ft) smaller skull than sue almost same size
mor 1152-1126 aka F REX and C REX= 14.8-14 m (48.2-46 ft ) proportionally longer head than sue smaller mandabile
by then i was sure that they both were X's i hope you like my points and please tell me your thoughts:)

Wow, that's cool. I didn't think that they where Tyrannosaurus rex. They did have a sudo Carcharodontosaur skull, not a T. rex skull. I classify T x as a different species, but I wonder, wasn't t x lighter than T. rex? If so, than C rex and F rex would only be about as heavy, even though 5 feet longer.

Is there a link or links or pictures or something that you could give us to prove it. I believe things pretty easily, but I know that other people don't. Is there something you could show us to back up what you said or something? Maybe even a picture of C Rex's tooth would be nice.

Cool, that proves Rex Fan's and my theory. I just thought from the beginning they were T-rexes. Sincerelly I couldn't see the carcharodontosaurid features in their skull :P

well delta the amount of individual variation in tyrannosaurs is immense for example wrankel rex has extremely small eye balls and arms etc. but you can't consider it another genus or what if it had just been distorted?
hey delta i found a partialt tooth fragment from c rex not f rex here it is:)

no his skull is actually 150 cm long compared to sue 144 cm according to this paper Your text to link here...
MOR008 have a skull "only" 1,34 m long. Look:

The original and wrong recostruction is too long. Ther eal skull is shorter.

ohh yes you are right but based on mor 980 proportions mor 008 would measure around 12.5 m long still very LONG. anyway i hope you like my theory overall :)
I KNEW THEY WEREN'T CARCHARODONTOSAURS! They could be "Tyrannosaurus X", or they could just be T-rex with slight variations in the skull design. That tooth is without a doubt tyrannosaurid. If T-X is longer, but lighter than T-rex, I'd say a 45-50 ft T-X would weigh roughly 7-8.5 tons, while a T-rex at that length would weight 9-12 tons or so. Great job Raptorexxx :)
