I don't see why he wouldn't. He had claws (smallish, but still), a huge mouth and huge teeth, 8-8.5 tons (in my opion), and was used to fighting. He was a pack animal, pack animals fight for dominance, power, and to impress the ladies. Take wolves for example, they fight each other all the time. Why wouldn't a giga be good at fighting small thing its size, it was used to doing so.
Just my opion on the matter.
Large-
Acrocanthosaurus (6.5-7 tons, 40ft long, 18 ft. tall) vs Sauroniops ( 5.5-6.5 tons, 40 ft. long, 15-16 ft. tall)
I'm going for acro, he's one of my favorite all-time dinos ever and deserves more fame for being so awesome.
Dinosaurs just get more and more amazing every minute.
Haha, don't you just love it when people have to go and drag things back up from months ago? And don't you love it when people take a post about one thing and turn it right around to something else just to suit their need for a fight? Haha, I love it(that's all sarcasm right there).
Read this before but still a very good start.
No problem SR. Glad you liked it :)
No problem SR :)
And Jeeza, I'm actually from Pennsylvania
Small-
Deinonychus vs Pyroraptor
I have some ideas for large, but I don't know what your standards are for it.
PS- Good fight.
Well, you did what you thought was right. We'll cope with the few details. Personally, I like it better that way.

Will be in order, need some suggestions for small and large!
Great start. Can't wait for the next part.
Very admirable Chris, very admirable. I don't blame you for keeping leaks under wraps. I just wished other sites would do that.
Whoa guys, things are getting a little heated on this thread. What needs to be remembered here, is that most of the things we "know" about these dinos are purely theoretical. No matter how ridiculous a theory is, people are entitled to that theory. And if you do not like it or disagree, just refuse to comment.
Lets try to keep the name calling and attacks off of these threads. SciFied is here for fun, not stress.
and after reading your recent post, can you provide proof that spinosaurs were bulky animals? Or is it just spinosaurus? in that case, that's a laughable argument.
The baryonychines were slender animals, i don't think any of them peaked 3 tons. They bones are just too light weight to support a mass of 4 tons or more..
I will admit, some of my arguments were pisss poor. That, was due to my hotheadedness flairing up over this stupid rex vs spino thing.
This is awesome. I'm lovin it so far and I can't wait for the next chapter.
i guess you're back huh? fine. There's no use in flipping out over the past. LEt it go, and there shouldn't be a problem
Great fight. I wasn't really rooting for either.
Certainly extremely interesting.
That was an old estimate for Saurophaganax. A more recent one that i've seen puts it at 13 meters and 6 - 7 tons.
Torvo...Well we know it wasn't a 14+ meter animal. The portugese specimen...or more commonly nown T. Gurneyi, is around 10-11 meters and 4-5 tons.
CARNOSAUR - That was an incredibly fascinating bit of information! Thank you ever so much for bringing this to us! I'll certainly be typing away on the forums to learn more about this! :)
CHRIS PICARD - That was exceptionally big and forthcoming of you to issue such an apology. It says something quite positive of your character. I agree with what you posited: this site should certainly be for the promotion and extolling of films - not their complete spoilage. What you presumed to do was in no way inherently negative - it simply had an unforseen and unpleasant ramification. You've done nothing untoward - so keep you chin up! :)
MR.HAPPY9097 - That was exceptionally fun to read! I greatly enjoyed the amount of detail you placxed within the more mundane scenes - especially the armory and coast-watch. I can't wait for the next chapter! Thank you ever so much for presenting this! Oh, by the way, how did the farm work go? Did everything go as you wanted?" :)
@Sci-fi King
Haha, I don't know about the imprinting thing... Hammond said he was there for the births of every creature on Nublar, and look what still managed to happen in the book. ;)
As for my hybrid, I would go for the body of a Therizinosaurus with even longer, sharper claws, the spiky body armor (including underbelly) of the Edmontonia, and the brain (or rather brain capacity) of a dromaeosaur. The shear size and build of my hybrid would be too much for the D-Rex, and the fact that it still has a herbivorous brain would decrease the chances of it getting out of control.
I appreciate you keeping this info under wraps, Chris. It was the honorable thing to do. I for one was pumped about the visitor center announcement - what kind of tension did you receive from that? I thought that announcement would, like you said, increase hype!
Just out of curiosity, can you disclose your source for the information you are talking about, or would you prefer not to? I totally understand if it's not knowledge for the public.
Thanks for your active devotion to this site, and keep up the good work!
i liked it the second time i read it more! can't wait to read the rest of it
Thanks guys! spend most of the night on this one.
@Jezza, yeah i think Giga just wasn't adept at taking on theropods of equal size very well. Sure it was massive, but that's all i see that it has going fot it
Good fight, wasn't really really rooting for either.
You did what you thought was right Chris, and with the best of intentions!
Honorable, Chris, honorable.
The biggest thing to me for this film was the new dino, D-Rex. That's what I've been waiting for, is the plans for the new dino. At first, I thought it'd be giganotosaurus, but I finally know what the dino is. The only other thing I want to know from the film is what D-Rex looks like, that's the only spoiler I'll see from now on. An image of D-Rex.
I personnally believe giga would've won, but this was great fight either way.
Ah, Mr. Happy, I think you've overlooked the KA-52 Alligator, the best combat chopper of today. Flying low and killing fast, this all-weather flying machine would dominate the Apache.

Personnally, I'd bring a jaeger, Striker Eureka.
Really interesting article...thanks Carnosaur! :)
Great stuff, well written fight...really enjoyed it!
Well, I would think with describing it vaguely would be fine like you did it, as many other fans, (myself included), are still extremely worried about this whole D-Rex fiasco. With so many dinosaurs to choose from, they decide to make their own. I hope they explain it in a way that makes sense. Anyways, just glad that they were atleast kind to you when chewing you out.
New stuff! ï¼¼(^o^)ï¼
lol
so it could also be a diplodocus :))
I think, well she's a carnotaurus based from the novel
okay so here's my theory :)
patel corp trying to get their hands on a carnotaurus but end up with so many gaps in it's dna and then dr wu try to close the gap by using other dna which in this case is the raptor dna for something and t-rex dna for the small hands
but there were still missing dna gap and the raptor and t-rex dna doesn't seems to fit in
so he'll avoid using frog dna because of the first park incident and decided to do experiment with cuttlefish and snake dna (snake because she's a reptile I guess and idk about the cuttlefish :p)
turn out to be a success, but one mistake
she's able to do a perfect camouflage with her environment and no one want to see an invisible dinosaur am i right?
so since it's already cost to much to bring her to this world, it'd be a major loss for the company if they killed her right away so they decided to keep her while figuring out how people would be able to see her like in the zoo
turns out she's to dangerous because of her ability and raptor like intelligent
I'll give him the head and legs of a t-rex, neck and tail of a titanoboa, wings and arms of quetzalcoaltus and some human dna to allow him to talk
I'll named him smaug the dragon :))
