MemberAllosaurusJun-01-2014 1:48 PMWell, as we know, Jurassic World is featuring the Diabolus Rex, a hybrid creature created in the movie. We also know that it breaks out and causes terror and havoc. It's a possibility that we use Tyrannosauruses and Dienonychuses to battle it. Alas, what if this failed? Would we need a new hybrid to battle Diabolus Rex? Or would the Armed Forces battle it?
Well, let's say a small team of eleven soldiers were deployed to destroy the Diabolus Rex. Let's say that none survived. We would need a new hybrid to battle her. Let's also say that you, yes, you were chosen to design this hybrid. Your budget is limited to one creature slightly smaller than the Diabolus Rex. What creatures do you mix? What do you create?
Mine:
The head and teeth of a Tyrannosaurus, the clubbed tail and armor of an Ankylosaurus, the horns and frill of a Triceratops, the heat seeking, unhingable jaw, and venom of a rattlesnake, and the agility, arms, and foot claw of a Utahraptor.
What will you create?

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-01-2014 4:07 PMSorry if this sounds like me being a buzzkill, but creating a hybrid to stop a hybrid is a bad idea. If the one you deployed succeeds in destroying the D-Rex, you now have an even bigger problem: getting rid of the new hybrid.
My solution, two words: Apache Helicopter. All you need is a pilot and co-pilot, and one man wielding an RPG, or M72 LAW, or XM25, or Milkor MGL, or SMAW..... you get the idea, an explosive, and your D-Rex hybrid is taken care of.

MemberAllosaurusJun-01-2014 4:39 PMThese are fair points, but if the hybrid sees you at hatching, it will imprint on you. Then, once the D. Rex is gone, you can either destroy the other hybrid or put it into an enclosure.
I like the idea of the Apache chopper, but there's a flaw: using an air vehicle in a dense jungle island. Another, you can't blast this thing's head off in front of visitors. It's bad for tourism. :(

MemberCompsognathusJun-01-2014 6:30 PMI would mix the head and body of a Carnotaurus, the arms and spine of a Spinosaurus, the tail a Stegosaurus, the legs and feet of a Utahraptor, the brain of a Troodon, the wings of a Pteranodon, and the venom of a Sinornithosaurus.

MemberCompsognathusJun-01-2014 9:33 PMI'll give him the head and legs of a t-rex, neck and tail of a titanoboa, wings and arms of quetzalcoaltus and some human dna to allow him to talk
I'll named him smaug the dragon :))

MemberCompsognathusJun-02-2014 12:58 AMAh, Mr. Happy, I think you've overlooked the KA-52 Alligator, the best combat chopper of today. Flying low and killing fast, this all-weather flying machine would dominate the Apache.
Personnally, I'd bring a jaeger, Striker Eureka.

Haha, I don't know about the imprinting thing... Hammond said he was there for the births of every creature on Nublar, and look what still managed to happen in the book. ;)
As for my hybrid, I would go for the body of a Therizinosaurus with even longer, sharper claws, the spiky body armor (including underbelly) of the Edmontonia, and the brain (or rather brain capacity) of a dromaeosaur. The shear size and build of my hybrid would be too much for the D-Rex, and the fact that it still has a herbivorous brain would decrease the chances of it getting out of control.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-02-2014 4:11 PMIf I have to choose a dinosaur, I'm going to say the JP3 Spinosaurus. Unless the D-Rex has tree DNA of course.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-03-2014 2:11 PMHmmmmmmm, the Spino beats Rex, Rex beats tree, tree beats Spino. What the f*ck? How does that work? Rock Paper Scissors deal I guess.

MemberAllosaurusJun-03-2014 2:20 PMIt works as much as paper beating rock by covering it. No logic included.

MemberCompsognathusJun-03-2014 11:23 PMWe don't really know how big d-rex is, so how do we make something smaller?
