So which museums/major dinosaur sites must you see before you, well, die? Here are the top 10...

10. Lark Quarry, Australia

9. Gunma Museum of Natural History, Japan

8. Paris Museum of Natural History, Paris

7. Dinosaur National Monument, Utah

6. Museum of Natural HIstory, London

5. Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Pennsylvania

4. Royal Tyrrell Museum of Natural History, Alberta

3. Chicago Field Museum, Illinois

2. Simthsonian Museum of Natural History, Washington DC

1. American Museum of Natural History, New York City

Please note the Spinosaurus skeleton in Japan is a reconstruction, not real ;)

You can even tell the thing is a reconstruction. Figures the Japanese have a replica. How big is it anyway?

Nice list, though I myself would have the Tyrrell higher up. Maybe it's because I'm Canadian, maybe it's because Albertosaurus is one of my top 3 favourites and they have a big ass Albertosaurus exhibit. Who am I kidding? It's both.

The Jap skeleton is 55 ft(not too bad in my opinion).

Personally, I would have put the Carnegie up higher, but I had to be as neutral as possible.

This is a good list! I'd put this travelling exhibit I saw once as an honorable mention.

55 feet is a reasonable maximum for the animal, if you ask me of course.

I agree(I say 46-56 ft, so it's right there for me). I'll be seeing the Chicago Filed Museum and Dinosaur National Monument next year when my dad and I take a road trip out west. Can't wait.

REX FAN 684 - Wow! Those are some extremely fascinating locations you've presented! I would absolutely love to see the Smithsonian and the Chicago Field Museum - I've heard they're magnificent. Thank you so very much for bringing this to us! I'll definately try to have a go at them! :)

MR.HAPPY9097 - Ugh! You're right! That Spinosaurus is quite obviously a reconstruction. I like my dinosaurs to look like they're made of bone - not particle board! ;) Regardless, it is a rather neat reconstruction. :)
