Giganotosaurus
The "Giant Southern Lizard"
Length: 13 meters
Weight: 7 tons
Height: 4 meters
Giganotosaurus is a bit of a mystery. They are very elusive, shy animals. Their numbers are thought to be restricted to Nublar, as they have never been sighted on Sorna. Giganotosaurususually roam in pairs, occasionally 3 to 4 if they are a mated pair with offspring. Giganotosaurus has a gentle demeanor, only becoming violent when it is hunting. They rarely fight, even when challenged for a kill. They have been seen taking down a Zhuchengtyrannus that got awful close to a youngster
Edmarka
Edmarkas' (Lizard)
Length: 12 meters
Weight: 4.5 tons
Height: 3.5 meters
Era: Jurassic
Despite its bright colour, edmarka is the dinosaur that is seen so seldom, that few have ever saw it,-and lived long enough to tell about it. Because of this,it has the codename "Phantom". The population at the moment is 25+-as it is so elusiove it is difficult to tell. Edmarka is a megalosaurid and as al the other megalosaurs, highly agressive. Keepers at Jurassic World fear this animal, its colour and size alone made it impressive and fearsome, but its unpredictable behaviour made it difficult to handle. Its highly territorial and will fight any intruder. It has a loud scream and this is often the only thing you notice of this animal. It lives in the forest regions of site d and in a very small population on site B,The eyes of edmarka are green. Visitors to Jurassic World often leave the viewing areas deeply disturbed by what they see. For the longest time, no record was available how many of these animals live. expeditions to Nublar have shown however that more than 25 animals are alive , a very low population but it seems to be stable.
Here we go..
The Pitch black night of Isla Sorna had not hampered the Dinosaur population at all. The giant sauropods bellowed their mournful songs into the sky, the Hypsolophidonts sprang through the tall grasses with unmatched elegance. Hadrosaurs teetered around aimlessly, their unique snouts rooting in the fertile soils.
Night was the time of the Predator on this island.
A male Velociraptor put his scaly massive foot onto a large protruding rock, tapping the sickle claw repeatedly on it. His position on the gently sloping hill revealed a bounty of prey, his pack mates joining his side seconds after the claw clicking ceased. A small pack by all means, but they were ruthless. The alpha male started down the hill, having set his eyes on the hadrosaur herd. The second raptor, a female followed closely behind. The third, another male, stayed to survey the area a moment longer. He scanned the valley below him with cat-like eyes, issuing the soft purring call to reassure his packmates, who had halted when he had not followed suit. He issued a low, purring call. With that, the pair resumed their hunt, lowering themselves into the grass. Within seconds, they were lost from view.
The remaining raptor was about to follow when the attack came. The six hundred pound animal was lifted heftily from the ground. He was shaken like a rag doll, the pain encompassing his body was coming from every direction. He fell to the ground, breaking his hip bone with the fall. He squealed for his pack, but the unearthly scream was cut short by the immense leg crashing down on his skull.
This was Giganotosaurus territory.
The massive theropod lifted his bloody snout and caught the scent of living raptor like a bloodhound. He walked tenatively down the gently winding slope, following the scent with a mindset on destruction.
The Remaining raptors closed in on a juvenile Parasauropholus. It's back turned away from them; towards a thicket of sprawling shrubbery. The herd stamped around and bellowed, they had caught the scent of a predator.
Yet, they were facing away from the raptor pair. They were staring intently into the shrubbery ahead of the juvenile. The alpha raptor had caught sight of the monster before the herbivores had, its green eyes piercing through the trees at the duck bills. They were set impressively in the air; this unnerved the raptors. The female turned to leave, when the Giganotosaurus stepped into the grasses. This had been the last straw for the Hadrosaurs. They took off, honking and bellowing in fright. They ran into each other, their massive bodies colliding and producing a wet smacking noise. The young ones were crushed under foot.
The Giganotosaurus stared down at the intruding theropods, his jaws flowing with saliva. The full moon sihlouetting his immense bulk made him an even more intimidating creature. He was about to grab the alpha, when he caught the scent of the other creature. His head shot up with bird like attentiveness. His eyes locked on the fiery green ones peering through the trees.
The Carcharodontosaur let out a guttural roar equivalent of a jet airliner taking off, then started to walk towards the animal. An ear drum tearing shriek issued from the trees, the pair of eye started to move forward as well.
The theropod stepped from the trees, the moonlight revealing it to be a fully grown female Edmarka. She shrieked at the Carcharodontosaur once more, sprinting head on at the immense beast. Before she could land a bite, the Giganotosaurus stepped to the side. The Edmarka spun around to face the animal, swinging her arm and connecting with the Giganotosaurus' shoulder. Blood poured from the lacerations, the life sustaining liquid seeping onto the grass,
The Giganotosaurus lurched forward, biting the megalosaur on the snout. He pulled back, his teeth raking against the bone. The sound was gruesome.
The Female Edmarka lashed her head back and forth, trying to rid herself of the pain. The attack had sent a numbing pain through her skull. With an ominous growl, she charged again. Her massive head connected with the Carcharodontosaurs chest, slightly lifting the beast off the ground. His weight came down on top of the megalosaur, pushing her to the ground. When she hit, she capitalized with a bite to the lower leg. Her impressive jaws tearing a large chunk of flesh away.
The Carcharodontosaur kicked out in pain, only hitting the endless blades of grass. The Megalosaur had found her way back to her feet, and now growled in anticipation. The Giganotosaurus started to walk in a slow circle around the Megalosaur, his eyes never leaving the unexpected threat. The Edmarka sat on the edge of action, her legs taught with anticipation. The Giganotosaurus closed his circle in tightly, shaking his snout back and forth. The Megalosaur jumped forward, jaws ready for the kill.
The Giganotosaurus had anticipated this, stepping to the side as the megalosaur went by. He ran at the animal, who had not yet spun around. He bit down on her back, and shook her with great force. Lurching his head to one side, he snapped it the other way with as much force as he could muster. The megalosaur was sent careening thirty yards before she could stop herself. She turned around once more, to see six tons of hell running straight at her. She roared defiantly at the giant southern lizard, and took a charge of her own.
As the Carcharodontosaur got closer, the Edmarka stooped her immense body. The Giganotosaurus prepared to bring its jaws around the Edmarkas skull, when the megalosaur sprang upward. Her jaws locked around the Carcharodontosaurs neck. heeattempted to back away, panicked by the teeth digging into its throat. The Edmarka thrashed violently, sending the Carcharodontosaur crumbling to the ground. The Thud it produced as it hit shook the earth with great intensity. The Giganotosaurus struggled; lashing out with its hand talons. The claws dug into the Megalosaurs hide, producing gruesome wounds. The sensation of blood trickling down her neck did not stop the Edmarkas onslaught. She held on with a tenacity unrivaled in all of her experience. The Giganotosaurus stopped struggling after some minutes, and when she felt the last breath leave the animal, she snapped its neck for good measure.
The stood over the Giant Southern Lizard, and issued a triumphant roar. She turned and walked back to the thicket of trees, she had youngsters to go take care of. Their squawks echoing through the still Sorna night left a lasting impression on the remaining raptors.
They ran out for the hadrosaur carcasses that now littered the area. The female stood and stared at the Carcharodontosaurus carcass, the giant eyes forever frozen in the moments of death.
Onto something big now...
A tournament to determine what the most dominant dinosaurs of all time were. I haven't quite worked out all the details yet, but I'll tell you what I have:
The dinosaurs are split in to 4 classes: small, mid-sized, large, and enormous.
The problem?
I haven't decided match-ups quite yet....so you, the reader, can leave your fight suggestions for each division below!
I'm excited to get this under way.

MemberCompsognathusJun-02-2014 1:00 AMI personnally believe giga would've won, but this was great fight either way.
Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

MemberCompsognathusJun-02-2014 6:03 AMThanks guys! spend most of the night on this one.
@Jezza, yeah i think Giga just wasn't adept at taking on theropods of equal size very well. Sure it was massive, but that's all i see that it has going fot it

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

Deinonychus vs Pyroraptor
I have some ideas for large, but I don't know what your standards are for it.
PS- Good fight.

MemberCompsognathusJun-02-2014 1:56 PMI don't see why he wouldn't. He had claws (smallish, but still), a huge mouth and huge teeth, 8-8.5 tons (in my opion), and was used to fighting. He was a pack animal, pack animals fight for dominance, power, and to impress the ladies. Take wolves for example, they fight each other all the time. Why wouldn't a giga be good at fighting small thing its size, it was used to doing so.
Just my opion on the matter.
Large-
Acrocanthosaurus (6.5-7 tons, 40ft long, 18 ft. tall) vs Sauroniops ( 5.5-6.5 tons, 40 ft. long, 15-16 ft. tall)
I'm going for acro, he's one of my favorite all-time dinos ever and deserves more fame for being so awesome.
Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.
