Cool figth rexfan, very good and originall series
Poor LongJaw. Good chapter.
I agree with Marcc! But I hope the eyes look like this because of the angle of the shot..
They should stick to the original T-Rex from Jurassic Park and the Lost World.
Carnivores-
Apex- Tyrannosaurus
2 Large(30 ft+)- Tarascosaurus and Daspletosaurus
6 Small(-30 ft)- Ceratosaurus, Deinonychus, Velociraptor, Microraptor, Dilophosaurus, and Nanotyrannus
Herbivores-
3 Large(23 ft+)- Alamosaurus, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus
1 Small(-23 ft)- Gallimimus(if Gallimimus doesn't count, then Dryosaurus)
Well, for your request, sure. Here's what I said somewhere else, but I'll post it here as well.
Alright, you've made a point. Now, if this could go to a friendly debate, that'd be great. We don't need a repeat of last night.
Nice chapter, looking forward to the next, would have liked to see LongJaw survive though.

Nice. Next to Liopleurodon, mosasaurs are my favorite sea reptiles.
Both very good points. This discussion is going well.
Alright, from now on you reply to me on THIS topic since it does suit it more reasonable. As for your responses:
1. It's still open for debate. And it is a move on instinct that even todays animals do.
Well at least you and me can agree on that. Though I was being generous since rex fans love to hype up the myth that is C. Rex. But those were my previous estimateds.
2. It's most likely the outcome. Look at the others such as Suchomimus or Baryonyx. A long robust arm is needed if scaled.
3. No, your vision of Spinosaurus was based of false information. Their is no proof on Spino being at a max 8-9 tons and grew only 50ft. Not to meantion it being weaker to Rex. Bit force is the only thing. Name me others if you can.
PS: Planet Dinosaur is the most somewhat accurate for a 17m Spinosaurus. A couple minor issues today but still good.
1. Sakamoto's papers are proof enough. Look/read it on google. Try again and learn.
2. The fish it preyed upon grew 8m long and weight up to 1-1.5 tons.
3. Oh there is no denying that you adore Rexy. Hell, a big biased fanboy would put it nicely. Like I said in another post, it was a typo and I got something else in the mix. it's around half a ton.
4. Planet dinosaur has him on a average 11 tons for a 17m Spinosaurus. This is without the muscular spine and it's full growth.
5. Giving credit where it's due. Unlike the may users who joy ride Rex without any scientific evidence. This goes to Spinosaurus as well since you degraded him numerous time along with the moderator.
PS: Respond here since I hate going back in there and here. Lets just make it on one topic.
Then I truly wonder what the new estimates for you are. If you are going to say "scientific" then I would love for you to go deeper and provide stuff about Spinosaurus that have been debunked.
Jack Horner has confirmed about the 8ft long skull, though not much detail is on it. I'll just lay that and not involve it since it's still up in the air. But MSMN-V4047 is about 5.7ft
Planet Dinosaur is another that tops everything when it comes to these "scientific" facts. But that's just the documentary. Not in depth facts.
@Carnosaur
You know, if you want to come at me/comfront me try doing it at a more mannered way. But then again, that may be too much or asking since that kind of stuff doesn't suit someone like you. And to top if off, MrHappy will just brush it off and point a finger at me. Whatever, i'll deal with the BS. You know for a University graduate, you got some horrible grammar skills. Hmm i'll guess you are a high school student.
1. Explain how it isn't. The space between the spines are too small for skin to grow.
2. Never said he was "incredibly" robust. So don't put words in my mouth. Explain how it wasn't and put something for me to counter with.
3. OH my, how scary of you! Trying to look impressive on a basic forum on the internet! Stop. You are embarrassing yourself.
sorry double post!
Apex: charcarodontasaurus
2 large: albertasaurus, Baryonyx
small: dilophosaurus, utahraptor, troodon, nanotyrannus(I know its controversial but still), Eotyrannus and Guanlong
large h; argemtinosaurus, stegosaurus and eotriceratops
small: pacycephalosaurus
@MrHappy9070
Let me get this straight, it's okay for YOU to call users fanboy but not you? totally fair. Lots of justice in that.
I made a typo. Is it that big of a deal? I got something else confused with Rex's arm lift. And to clarify, it's 0.5 tons
You people get along because the majority here are Rex fans. That is cold hard fact. While you go on more professional forums like Carnivora etc it's made of nothing but balance and factual scientific evidence.
Wow! That's amazing, thanks ifor showing us!
anything is possible so idk
but I've seen other version of that cool looking picture
okay then
here it goes
apex : Giganotosaurus
Large C : Tyrannosaurus
Gigantoraptor
small c : Dilophosaurus
Microraptor
irritator
masiakasaurus
Herrerasaurus
Monolophosaurus
Large H : Centrosaurus
Dacentrurus
Sauroposeidon
small c : Stygimoloch
Very cool and thank you for sharing it.
I agree with Carnosaur on this one, though I think it would be difficult for a Tyrannosaurus to use its arms to push itself off the ground expecially considering its hands were naturally facing the wrong postion to allow for the best leverage and while it is possible the wrist could rotate, like evidence from another theropod suggests, it seems an unesssesary strain on the animal. Plus large flightless birds seem to have no difficulty getting up of the ground with no help form their wings so the arms helping a Tyrannosaurus to get up doesn't quite fit for me. Other then that I fully agree.
Apex-charcharodontosaurus
Large carnys- Allosaurus, Megaraptor
small carnys- compys, Utahraptor, Ceratosaurus, baryonx, nanotyrano, pyroraptor
Large herbivores- brachiosaurus, Titanosaurus, triceratops
Small herbivores- Iguanodon
This is ENTHRALLING news!!! Now the countdown really begins, everyone.
But as Evan123 and Spinojira have put it, we shouldn't expect a teaser or even a trailer for that matter anytime within the next 4-5 months. Simply put, the people editing the film now have to refine it piece by piece, to leave no stone unturned to make sure the film looks and feels fantastic. (Which it will) So din't get your hopes up just yet, guys.
That's a badass pic by the way, at least he gave us a dino mouth, eh?
I remember when this was discovered.
Everyone was talking about it, Everyone. It was on the radio, In the news, Even people who couldn't give 2 cents about dinosaurs were talking about it.
It might've been how close to lethbridge I was, But nonetheless, it was still quite an acomplishment.
I believe it's in Processing in Tyrell right now, Probably a chance it's already on display/
So, I'm going to go for something completely original!
Apex- Giganotosaurus
Large carnys- Saurophganax, Daspletosaurus
small carnys- Deinoychus, Utahraptor, Ceratosaurus, baryonx, Carnotaurus, lyothornax
Large herbivores- Argentinosaurus, Shantungosaurus, titanoceratops
Small herbivores- Ornithomimus
I feel Tyrannosaurus would have to be a staple, as well as the 'velociraptors', so here goes:
Apex Large Carnivore - Tyrannosaurus Rex
x2 Large Carnivores - Chilantaisaurus tashuikouensis & Torvosaurus Gurneyi
x6 Small Carnivores - 'Velociraptor' Nublarensis, Eocarcharia Dinops, Rugops Primus, Allosaurus Europaeus, Irritator Challengeri, Dilophosaurus Wetherii
x3 Large Herbivores - Brachiosaurus Altithorax, Torosaurus latus, Kentrosaurus aethiopicus
x1 Small Herbivore- Orodromeus makelai
Perversely, these arms were not long enough to reach the mouth, and yet, evidence shows that they were heavily muscularized and were in regular use, clearly discounting any suggestion that they might be useless and vestigial.
as tempting as it may seem, any speculation about the function of the arms is not strictly necessary in a discussion about why they are so small. To do so would be to imply that T. rex’s arms were tiny because they were selected to be tiny. It would assume that, had T. rex needed long arms, it could have had them. Which contradicts the train of evolution that had ultimately lead to Tyrannosaurus.
r. Instead of thinking about it in terms of why they we so small, some have thought about the problem in terms of, why couldn’t they be larger? In other words, perhaps long dangerous forearms would have been very useful for T. rex; it’s just that it couldn’t have them because of constraints in evolution.
This concept of constraints in evolution is well understood but often overlooked. It’s easy to forget that evolution is not a free-for-all. Just because a structure would be particularly useful for an organism does not mean that it can be evolved. Instead, its evolution is strongly dictated by two main factors: firstly, constraints from its ancestor’s body plan, which form the blueprints as raw material for evolution, and secondly, constraints from development. Thirdly, and the most overlooked fact in the idea of why tyrannosaurs had disproportionately small arms, is the ecological niche the occupied.
My hypothesis is that as the skulls of the Tyrannosaurids grew larger, the teeth blunter, the arms began to shrink. Why? to counterbalance the weight of the animal. Long arms coupled with an enlarged skull would have made the animal far too front heavy. The arms were certainly not vestigial though, and most likely aided in interspecies copulation, and helping the animal get to its feet after resting.
This is what I've been thinking since it was announced.

I unleash my propaganda upon all of you! :)
Sweet! I always liked Mosasaurs.
Thanks S-Rex. Figured it'd be a, as you put it, neat twist as opposed to the usual dino vs dino posts.
This is a neat twist, modern vs prehistoric, i was rooting for Allo nonetheless.
calling me out instead of sending any response to my request on you talking about spino? figured as much.
Even though I am a Spino Fan, I completely understand where you are coming from Mr. Happy. Sometimes I think the same thing. Sometimes I even wonder if the all these bones belong together. Like the spines could be from a Ouranosaurus, and the rest is from a Suchomimus. The bones are probably from a Spinosaurus, but who knows. Since I just read Jurassic Park for the first time (It was an amazing book), that just because we have the bones doesn't mean we know everything about it. We don't know it's behavior, it's if it was in a group or just stayed solo, if it mated for life just during reproduction season. We will probably never know. Although we do know alot, doesn't we know enough.
Alright, f*ck it. Topic closed. If you have a problem with that send me a PM. Don't expect a response anytime soon though.
Nobody has said anything negative about it to give us a chance for one.
For two, i haven't raged on anybody in a fairly long time, and i had my personal reasons. Was it ok? nope. But that's in the past, no use in beating the dead horse.
Okay, Carnosaur has changed and so have you S-Rex, just try not to call out on others who have been really doing nothing so far in this discussion.
