DAS MONSTER, was most likely an allosaurid.... Not a Torvosaurus...
thats strange cause i remember seeing it at 11 to 14 tons
DAS MONSTER DAS MIDEN it represents an animal of up to 15 meters
Yeah It would probably be considered 4th heaviest
the order being...
1. Rex
2. Giga
3. Carchar
4. Spino
that's just my opnion though.
The only thing that bugs me Is that... we don't have proof of Torvosaurus geting above 36 feet, we can make it bigger then that maybe 40 feet tops but, I don't think we can jump to a 45 foot long 8 ton Torvosaurus...
Yeah, the nat geo reconstruction. It suprised the hell out of everybody i think, it pretty much confirms Spino wasn't the biggest theropod now. Still in the top 5 though, 6 tons isn't any thing to laugh at
There's still a chance the european Torvo got to be forty feet long. The post caudal vertabrate aren't fused in the newest find, suggesting a sub-adult at the onset of maturity. A torvo forty five feet long would be able to take on a rex, but it would loose most of the time.
torvo had a very powerful bite too and i believe torvo could haven much bigger than 5 tons
Great fight and series. Cool idea.
Even a Torvosaurus of this size would be fighting an uphill battle. A Tyrannosaur has jaws powerful enough to take out oponents with one good hit. Still was a good fight, and listen to the people above. Torvosaurus was 4-5 tons tops.
You're reading this the wrong way. Tyrannosaurus' arms are quite powerful for the size of them, not his overall size. You can't compare arm strength to size. Gorillas would be the same way, having weak arms for their size, yet we know they have very strong forearms. Does that make sense?
true, but i mean for his overall body mass
Good fight considering the Torvo was almost twice as big as it should be. A normal sized Torvo vs a normal size Rex would be fighting an uphill battle. The odds just wouldn't be in it's favour. Good fight anyway, I was rooting for Rex.
Actually the trex arms are quite strong, for the size of the arm! Not weak like most people say, but still useless in combat. (I think)
Ok I thanks guys, and carnosaur what is that reconstroction? Is it the nat geo one? And if that right, that spino is really short!
Thanks BBB!
Nice fight Hipho, i figured tyrannosaurs would win. :)
I was rooting for Lythronax, but still a greatm fight with a good ending.
I'd say it had a pretty big range of motion, as it could use them to attack, swat away insects, and help it eat.
Don't think european Torvosaurus got much above 5 tons but anyways.
1. Type it on the notes app so you can take your time
2. Good
3. Good
4. You really should only post 1-2 discussions a day, it gets really annoying if you do more then that.
5. Good
It's a European torvo
1 I'm on my phone
2thanks
3 K
4 maybe
5 ok
I think you Torvosaurus is far to big but, anyways decent fight.
here some tips, take of you want them.
1. look at other fights to get a good length
2. Use pictures. If you don't know how heres how, click insert, find the picture you want, copy and paste the link, then choose a appropriate description then size.
3. Look at fights to get the right format.
4. Don't post so many discussions, it gets annoying when the entire recent topics section is full of one guys discussions.
5. Take your time, check grammer and spelling mistakes as much as possible.
It took the first JP 3 months to film, and it shattered the box office. Kachynus, how in the hell could you even doubt this movie? I'm trying to imagine why you would say such a thing when we all pretty much know this one's gonna kick major ass as well.
Some people...
That seems fairly weak for his size
Well T.rex arms I now can lift 450 lbs, not sure about the rest.
It probably used it to fight other Dinos and to hook into fish
The arms of Acrocanthosaurus had a poor range of motion, and i recently read the arms of the therizinosaurs had the same problem. Not entirely sure, as we haven't found the arms of Spinosaurus yet...But since we're already in this hypothetical mindset, why not. The new spino reconstruction had suprisingly short arms and legs.

I wouldn't say they really had a large range of motion. Acro had a whole whopping 45 degrees in every direction, my best guess is it wouldn't be a whole lot more then this
Well, to those worrying the D-rex would be a monster, it sounds like a generic big theropod to me.
Okay! Thanks, I just heard somewhere that their arms couldnt be put more than 45 degrees above their usual position.
I'd imagine, Just like a humans arm, They'd be able to manuver them into multiple positions, As to swat at flies, Or deliver killed fish or such to their mouth.
They'd use them like human arms.
They'd also use them in Combat, As, an arm like that could slice open A dinosaurs belly.
Cool, however I was looking at the exact same thing and I thought the new estimates were now 10 meters or something!
Thanks hiphopananomus, glad you like it!
Thanks S-rex, the Tyrannosaurus was just to big for any of these other predators.
Was gunning for lythronax, but great fight eithr way.
Deffinately worth the read Rex Fan. ;)
Really nice fight, but saw where it was headed. I was cheering for Acro nonetheless.
