Mapusaurus vs. Lythronax

Mapusaurus

            Length: 37 ft long

            Weight: 7 tons

            Height: 17 ft tall

Lythronax

            Length: 30 ft long

            Weight: 5 tons

            Height: 15 ft tall

            A lone Mapusaurus is wandering around. It wouldn’t matter where he goes for nothing can take him on. This side of the island is the Mapusaurus side, even tyrannosaurs think twice about coming into the territory. This Mapusaurus is a ruthless killer. In fact, he wants to try to rule the whole island. He wanders around looking for other territories to take away for himself and his pack of 10. He is also hungry, but is too lazy to hunt for himself and his pack mates.

            The male Lythronax is hunting, and stalking a lone ankylosaur. He is very hungry, almost starving. He needs to feed his family. They are all suffering from the Mapusaurus’ reign of terror on the island. Thinking about his family, the Lythronax charges forward. He comes forward and attacks the anklyosaur. He stays clear of the boney club tail, and manages to flip the ankylosaurus over. He manages to give the fatal bite and takes a bite to eat before calling his family. He turns around to call them, but hears a loud breath right behind him. As he looks back, he sees the Mapusaurus right behind him. The Mapusaurus claimed the kill as his own and roars at the Lythronax.

            The Lythronax must protect his kill, for his family needs it.  He roars back at the larger contender. He mock charges at the mapusaurus. The Mapusaurus is confused why an opponent would face up to him, but stares down the Lythronax. He comes up and charges at the Lythronax, but the Lythronax sidesteps it and bites down on the mapusaurus’ leg. The Mapusaurus roars in pain, and throws his arm at the gore king. His arm connects with the Lythronax’s neck and the Gore King lets go. Now, the Mapusaurus is the one who charges and jumps on Lythronax. Being a much heavier dinosaur, he brings his opponent to his knees. The Lythronax roars of the extra weight on his back. The Mapusaurus ripped his foot talons into the Lythronax’s back.

            The Lythronax shakes the Mapusaurus off and looks at him straight in the eyes. This fight could mean life or death for his mate and his offspring. The Lythronax comes forward and charges with the Mapusaurus ready to counter. The Lythronax weaves around the Mapusaurus’ jaws and comes up on his back. The Mapusaurus roars in pain and tries to shake off the Lythronax, but the Lythronax stays on only hanging by his jaws. The mapusaurus finally shakes him off. When the Lythronax falls off, he hits the ground hard. He shakes his head but gets back up. He is ready to fight back. The Mapusaurus is confused, why isn’t this dinosaur dead yet, if he is going to be ruler of the island why can’t he kill this lowly Lythronax. The Mapusaurus finally realizes something. He can’t win. So the Mapusaurus gives up the meal and walks away. Lythronax comes forward with the meal, and turns around and walks away in the opposite direction.

            As the Lythronax walks away, he feels something behind him. He turns around just in time to see the Mapusaurus in mid-leap. As the mapusaurus comes down, he scrapes his claws on the Lythronax’s back while also hacking away with his jaws. The Lythronax roars in shock and pain. He had thought the Mapusaurus had given up. The Lythronax was bleeding heavily but was ready to fight back. He got up and charged at the Mapusaurus. He got his jaws around the mapusaurus’ neck and tried to bite down as hard as he could. The mapusaurus roared and slid his claws down the Lythronax’s face. The Lythronax roared and let go before he put enough pressure on the neck. The Mapusaurus came up to the male Lythronax. He knocked the Lythronax down and stepped on his chest breaking a couple of ribs.

            The Lythronax tried as hard as he could put couldn’t get out of the Mapusaurus’ feet. Right when the Mapusaurus was about to kill the Lythronax, he heard a small faint chirp. He looked around for the chirp’s owner. It was a young Lythronax. The Male Lythronax roared for the hatchling to step back and to run away. But the hatchling kept chirping at the Mapusaurus. The Mapusaurus hesitated seeing himself as the hatchling, remembering all those years of torture leading up to him being such a ruthless killer. He looked down at the Lythronax under his foot, and slowly backed up. Then, the Mapusaurus came back. He came back with the Ankylosaur that was killed earlier. He dropped it on the ground and left, thinking back at the old days, when he was the runt of his litter. He gave one last look at the Lythronax as he trotted away.

Winner = Mapusaurus

Ruthless, larger, and a little bit of dirty fight won this match for the Mapusaurus. Only the Lythronax hatchling stopped the Mapusaurus from killing the Lythronax.
