Out of nowhere, a hot rumor has surfaced today claiming Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has been offered the lead role in Gareth Edwards' upcoming Jurassic World reboot! The rumor comes from TheInsneider who claims to have received a tip earlier today with the news.
With time running out and Universal unwilling to budge on their release date, casting needs to get underway and production needs to gain some momentum. Scarlett Johansson certainly brings some serious star-power to whatever role she takes on, so if the rumor is true and if she accepts the role, the yet-to-be-titled Jurassic World reboot will have made yet another step in the right direction!
The new Jurassic movie will be directed by Gareth Edwards with a screenplay by Jurassic Park veteran David Koepp. Other franchise veterans Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall are once again producing the Dinosaur pic for Universal Pictures and is currently slated for a hasty July 2nd, 2025 release date.
The film is expected to shoot in the UK later this year with filming locations in Hawaii also having been reportedly scouted recently.
