Those are great! Rather Stunning attention to Details, and scene Selection!
I appreciate those with the Time to dedicate themselves to fan art. (I mean, Writings a Challange too, But it takes no where the same ammount of Commitment.)
As it's been said, Welcome to scified.
As it has not been yet said. Let me welcome you in the words of the Deceased Richard Attenborough...
"Welcome, To Jurassic Park,"
If I may suggest a scene if you haven't done it yet, Perhaps maybe the Land cruiser scene?
I don't know, But these are awesome. I hope to see more of your work, And yourself around the forums. If you ahve any questions, Feel free to Contact myself or anyone who looks like they know what they're doing. Or, Of course, The staff.
I feel like the problem isn't necessarily that Jurassic World's CGI isn't as good as the CGI seen in Jurassic Park, it's what we've come to compare visual effects to based on current films. Back when Jurassic Park came out, CGI was very new and audience's hadn't seen anything like that before - so of course it seemed very real. Even the CGI in other hits from that era, and even before like Terminator 2. Today, everything is CGI and practical effects are rarely used. Thankfully Jurassic World will use a mixture of both but I think people are being slightly overly judgemental when it comes to judging this film's CGI usage based on one trailer. The CGI isn't even finished yet. I feel like the visual effects will be polished and impressive when the film hits theaters. Hard to compare a WIP with a finished product.
I mean, Sharknado was one of these Movies... (PLUS the other 900+ Other Jaws rip offs)
I'd be interested in seeing it, Just because of how bad it is. But that'd likely be the only real reason for me to see it. I've seen much worse Special effects.
Need I bring up the Knock off "Atlantic Rim"
SCI-FI KING25 - That was an extremely engaging and fun battle to read! I liked the brutality and fact that you chose to use two of the first recognized dinosaurs! Thank you so very much for taking the time to produce and share this with us! :)
PETERHYK - Welcome to SCIFIED! I greatly enjoy the attention to detail you paid your dioramas! The fine and subtle accents you have drawn out really help to establish a feeling of realism within the settings you have produced! Excellent work! Thank you ever so much for choosing to share these images with us! :)
EUSTREPTOSPONDYLUS - That umbrella is bloody CUTE! As for the dilophosaurus showing up in Jurassic World, I certainly hope he/she does! That animal was always extremely interesting and neat to see on film! :)
DANIELOSAURUS - I would not worry too greatly; there is likely no doubt that the new trailer will be released worldwide and on every platform possible in order to increase excitement! ;)
First of all, welcome to Scified! :)
Also, these are amazing! (Did you use Papo figures?) If you have more please post them! :)
Eh. It doesn't seem good, but not bad. The special effects are okay, but the acting is pretty bad.
Wow. Um...I do not know how to express what I am currently feeling with regards to this film. How very, um, compelling...
Wow, that's really cool. More pls.
ahahahahahaha!!
I think Inostancevia would win, it doesnt matter how big or how smart they are, it all depends on bite force. if grizzly had a stronger bite force, he wins. same with Inostancevia.
Here's my modest proposal for a prequel for Jurassic World featuring ice age megafauna: Mammoth Isle http://www.amazon.com/Mammoth-Isle-Philip-Linder-ebook/dp/B00R212A2G I recently published it on Amazon Kindle.
Hello, I would appreciate it MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE if you could send it to me too, I'm not sure how to PM on here. ifimawayfromyou@hotmail.com
Eternally grateful!!
This is very good! Great job! Yes I would like to see some more. If I can suggest one maybe the T-Rex triumph scene at the end of the movie.
I loved the dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park. Even though it's doubtfull that they spat or had a frill, I loved the idea of them and the sound the baby made. I took it that there was an older one that attacked Newman in his jeep due to a size difference. Of course an adult would be much bigger and I'd love to see an adult in the new film. Perhaps it could help take down the D or I Rex by blinding it with its acidic flem.
I think about the cars Mercedes are establishing car from The Lost World,i like it beacause according to me The Lost World is like the best film,of here most of the action with dinosaurs and the unique atmosphere i like this very struggle for survival dark wet climate i hope JW will have something from the lost world
Thanks everybody. What time is the superbowl also?
15 ft? 1000lbs? i'd like to see a paper on these figures.
the largest inostranceia skull i've known of was ~50cm long, which woul entail 2.6 - 2.8 meter TBL. (8.5 to 8.8 ft)
and I. alexandri seems to be substantially smaller than the bear anyway (~150kg)
aso, it doesn't take much to take down a lumbering (1,500lbs is the accepted number) scutosaurus -- the armored plating is on its back, leaving the sides and underbelly vunerable. so this isvoid.
do you have a bite force figure for the theraspid?
I. alexandria's 'saber teeth' are situated farther back in its jaws then say, the machairodonts -- so it won't really be of any substantial use in this scenario.
do you perhaps something to show it could grapple with any efficiency? it's legs are short and its sprawling gait, and short, nflexible phalanges would make it a horrifically bad grappler - leagues below modern mammals- though it does have a lower center of gravity then the bear. however, that's a moot point -- the bear can control the theraspid more capably as inostrancevia only has its jaws as its weapons.
and i've already shown the bears claws aren't "extremely dull" i don't see why you keep repeating that line.
you say that like its some sort of common knowledge.
"as you said...alrighty then.
case and point we don't know cuz the movie's half a yea a way from release. i was just pointint it out. that's all.
And as I said, the dinos seen on the display are likely only in the park, or once were, and are not likely to appear in the movie. It is also possible that some of these never set foot in the park, and are purely there for educational purposes, like AL said.
the brochure also stated that they were SOME of the creatures in the park and the river safari is known to have over a hundred forms of prehistoric life.
In the brochure, the JW page and the official JW guide are displayed 16 dinosaurs,

but is diferent to the image that shows the HOLOSCAPE, which I think is like the displayer
of a museum more than a list of the park attractions. I'm afraid is only made with teaching purposes, but who knows if the guys in InGen are playing aside of the official list ![]()

Again, not necessarily. I believe this is a sort of park terminal that will allow visitors to learn about the various dinosaurs that inhabit (or once inhabited) the park. It isn't a list for the movie, it's a list for the park.
Inostranceviea was 10 to 15 Feet long and about 3 to 5 feet tall and 500 to 1000 pounds. And had a 24 inch long fairly robust skull. The Bears skull is about 22 cenrimiteres. This powerful beast used its clawed and surprisingly strong arms. so while it grapples the bear it can sink those 7 inch cainines deep into the Bears fat and flesh.
tge bears fat will not be a hindrance for the inostrancevie. Since its huge cainines and huge incisors were designed to bite straight through the thick armor of scutelosaurus which was a huge one ton beast that had scutes on its bac. so the inostranceviea will be accustomed to biting through armor. Some fat and fur wil offer no protectio. while the thick hide of the gorgonopsid would be tough and durable enough to protect it. From the swipea from the bea. And there claws are actually quite dull.
Gigantoraptor
Why?
because it is a freakin' giant chicken of doom
badass as hell
how much sense does that make, though? not much imo. an if this leaked "info" is to be believed, it makes more sense for spinosaurus to be featured with the information we've been presented.
Although yes, it is on that list, that doesn't mean it is in the movie. It only means it is (possibly was...) on the island. It's really impossible to tell whether or noteach species on that list will really be in the movie, unlike the one on the website, where each dino on that list is confirmed to be in the movie. Of course, there are dinos on this list that are in the movie but don't appear on the other one.
TL:DR- Spino might not be in the movie.
Well...

FRIST EVER DINOSAUR TO SWIM!
What do you guys think?
Knowing how big the superbowl is, It will most likely be up on youtube, before premiering on International TV. But it shouldn't be up immeadiatley.
If it isn't up on youtube after the superbowl starts, Don't worry, There should be some form of Delay from when it's aired on TV, To when its online.
From an Advertisting point, It'd make sense to release it on youtube after it's premiere, Or, Release it after the Bowl ends.
But yes, It should be up on youtube.
Yes. I strongly believe that there will be skin impressions hidden in the rock. I even believe I have seen indicators of small, pebbly scales. :3
if the above picture is legitamate, spinosaurus is confirmed for JW. it's on the right, near suchomimus
just throwin' it out there for y'all
