Iguanodon
Iguanodon was a large herbivore that lived in England during the Early Cretaceous period. This individual is 11 feet tall, 22 feet long, and 5 tons.
Megalosaurus
Megalosaurus was a medium carnivore that lived in Oxfordshire, England, during the Mid. Jurassic period this individual is 9 feet tall, 23 feet long, and 2 tons.
BEGIN!
A large Megalosaurus is hunting an Iguanodon herd. The creature hasn’t eaten in a few days, after losing a kill to a slightly younger Megalosaurus pair. The creature salivates thinking of eating one of the colossal herbivores. As the group stops to eat and rest, the carnivore makes his move.
A large male Iguanodon, just old enough to know how to fight a large carnivore, is eating some plants in a small meadow with a couple more Iguanodons. He feels a sharp pain in his right thigh and sees the Megalosaurus clinging on. He bellows in surprise and alarm before a slightly smaller male Iguanodon rams the carnivore off of his herd mate. The Megalosaurus falls to the ground before the Iguanodon that rammed him off pounds his hands down on the Megalosaurus’s chest. As the creature gets up, the Iguanodons bellow a warning to him. He slowly backs off, defeated.
The carnivore begins to plan another attack on the wounded individual, as the injured are easier to take down. Knowing larger carnivores in the area might get to it first, he hastily makes a plan to separate and attack it. As a few pterosaurs fly out of a forest, squawking in fear, the Megalosaurus runs at the Iguanodon group in the meadow. As he’s almost trampled by the rest of the herd, he runs to the small meadow and finds the injured Iguanodon at the end of the group. He begins to snap at it before biting its tail.
The Iguanodon tries to shake him off, and after a few seconds he lets go. The Megalosaurus runs in front of the Iguanodon and forces it to run. He chases the large herbivore to the edge of a narrow ledge sticking out of a cliff overlooking the ocean. There’s no more running now…
As the Megalosaurus slowly approaches his victim, the creature rears up onto its hind legs and begins to bellow at the carnivore. The Megalosaurus snarls back before biting the Iguanodon’s left arm. He begins to shake his missive head and neck around as he begins to tear the Iguanodon’s arm apart. The Iguanodon bellows in pain before stabbing the Megalosaurus’s neck with his left thumb spike. The Megalosaurus roars in sudden pain and surprise before falling to the ground. The Iguanodon slams his hands onto the Megalosaurus’s body a few times before beginning to bellow for his herd as he walks off.
The Megalosaurus gets up and sees the Iguanodon a couple hundred feet away from him. He hastily begins to run at the herbivore and keeps quiet to conceal his position. Eventually, he reaches the creature and bites onto its right thigh. The Iguanodon bellows in surprise and the Megalosaurus slashes it with his claws a couple times. As the Iguanodon tries to shake off the Megalosaurus, it slashes the wounds on the creature’s left thigh, causing more pain and injury to the Iguanodon. As it begins to back off, the Megalosaurus begins to chase it back to the cliff ledge. However, before it can, the Iguanodon pins him to a large tree. It rams his underside with his head before the Megalosaurus begins to kick the herbivore’s neck and chest. As the Iguanodon goes for one last ram, the Megalosaurus cuts open one of its nostrils with his foot claws.
Blood bursts out of the Iguanodon’s open nostril as he runs towards the cliff ledge with the Megalosaurus in close pursuit. Eventually, they reach the ledge and the Megalosaurus begins his assault. He slashes the Iguanodon’s chest before biting its neck. He holds on, even after the Iguanodon slashes him a few times with its thumb spikes. Eventually, he begins to slash the creature along with still biting. After about thirty seconds, the Iguanodon spins a few times before pushing the Megalosaurus off of the ledge with his right hand. The Megalosaurus roars in fear and surprise as it falls about a hundred feet before splashing into the water. As he begins to slowly sink to the bottom, a large mosasaur approaches him…
The Iguanodon rears up onto his hind legs and bellows in victory. However, he hears a cracking sound from below him, and looks down. He sees the narrow ledge begin to crack before it breaks off and falls into the now-red water with the Iguanodon. The mosasaur begins to approach the herbivore as it lands.
Winner: Tie
Technically, the Iguanodon won, but it would've died even without the ledge breaking off.

MemberAllosaurusJan-08-2015 2:12 PM^Thanks! :) I wanted to use the first two dinosaurs ever discovered, and I decided to use the first prehistoric animal ever discovered near the end of the fight.
