That's fine that it kind of became an Acrocanthosurus debate. It is interesting to hear everyone's opinion on different things.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumWhat if Tyrannosaurus was just discovered?Jun 6, 2013
Thanks. Are you referring to the people pissed of if Rex won if it was only recently discovered? Or the desert and rainforest part? Or both? Just wondering because it is kinda rare to get a compliment from you/have you agree with a Rex fan (no offence).
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic World ForumMy Plot Idea for JPIVJun 6, 2013
It's Hollywood. I doubt they care how big Liopleurodon was. If it was 80+ ft, then great. If it was only 30, then, like the raptors and Spino, who cares. We can make it whatever we want!
If you know what I mean.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumFavourite SpinosaurJun 6, 2013
I guess it did. Sorry that I brought it up, haha. It did turn into an interesting discussion though.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDinoFights UpdateJun 6, 2013
I like the line-up. Glad to see you took my suggestion of Daspletosaurus vs Tarascosaurus.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 6, 2013
Mosasaurus hoffami has been recorded at reaching 50-60 ft. It's also known as the Giant Mosasaur. I am one of the ones who believe Liopleurodon was up to 85 ft. But I could be wrong.

Great point MR. HAPPY
Replyfuturepaleontologist1Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 6, 2013
Elasmosaurus was in the last spot friend. :-) . And there have been 40 foot Mososaurs found, as well as liopleurodon.
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticJurassic Park Games ForumOverlooked JP3 GamesJun 6, 2013
Sadly I never got to play any of these. They look really cool!
I wish a new Jurassic Park game would be made for Nintendo, PS3, Xbox, etc!!!!!! Keep fans entertained until JPIV.
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticDinosaurs ForumThe Vendian era EdiacaransJun 6, 2013
Are bacteria animals? Well, they are Eukaryotic cells... I say the same applies to the Ediacarans.
Btw, @futurepaleontologist, have you checked out my plot for JPIV? You'd be happy, because Carcharodontosaurus is the main predator for the movie! (sadly, it is killed at the very end by Rex......)
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticDinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 6, 2013
@futurepaleontologist
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Mosasaurus and Liopleurodon would have been smaller than you have listed here. Larger skeletons of both suggest that neither animal would have exceeded thirty to thirty-five feet.
I like Elasmosaurus in the #1 slot!! FTW
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticDinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus vs BaryonyxJun 6, 2013
Awesome fight! The part where Baryonyx is befuddled by the claws, teeth, and horns charging for him made me laugh! Nice touch of humor, action, and unbiased writing. Great job!

Thanks for suggestions!
ALI3N, I was actually thinking about how expensive Scarlett Johansson would be. Not that I think they could possibly get her on board, but she would be my dream actress. ;) Elizabeth Mitchell is a little older than I envisioned; I was thinking closer in age to Ellie Sattler in the first JP. Idris Elba... that would be so epic, except he would die so soon! For an actor like that you would have to cast a more major role.
What did you think about Chris Evans and Michael Keaton?
I'm glad I was able to please with Carcharodontosaurus. I wanted to bring a new predator to the table that wouldn't make die-hard Spino and Rex fans flip out. Also, as you might know, I acknowledge Rex as stronger than Spino, but I didn't want to ruin Spino's victory for JPIII. Instead, I left both out of the plot, with Rex making a cameo return as the king of JP in the very end. I like the coloration you envisioned for the Carchars. Thanks for the input!
@Rex Fan 684
Thanks also for your input, man! For the size of Liopleurdon, I realized I was referencing a dinosaur encyclopedia that is actually a bit outdated. Sorry for that. A mososaur would be cool, or a plesiosaur like Elasmosaurus!
ReplyCarnotaurus Dinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus vs BaryonyxJun 6, 2013
Great job DinoFights can you possibly get any better?! And thanks so much for starting of with the victorious Carnotaurs. And once again great job!

I really wish there was some sort of betting system...
ReplyNo longer activeDinosaurs ForumDinoFights UpdateJun 6, 2013
I'm betting the winners are:
Carnotaurus
Ceratosaurus
Suchomimus
Edmontonia if the Utahraptor is alone
Cryolophosaurus
Megalosaurus
Albertosaurus
Medusaceratops
Eocarchia
Gorgosaurus
Neovenator
Styracosaurus
Afrovenatordryptosaurus
Megaraptor
Ekrixinatosaurus
Tarascosaurus
Replyt-rex90Jurassic World ForumTyrannosaurus Rex to return in Jurassic Park 4Jun 5, 2013
PWN3D_1984: hahahaha-NO.
Being how the film's set to take place back on Nublar, it's almost 100% guaranteed he'll return. Again, hopefully as the main super predator.
Replyt-rex90Jurassic World ForumHow to make T.Rex more scarier in Jurassic Park 4??Jun 5, 2013
I'll stick to the "scales only" when it comes to big carnivorous dinosaurs like T-Rex thank you very much. I agree with x_paden_x, there are other ways to make it more scary, more attitude and intelligence would be cool, maybe even a new color design, like dark red skin with black stripes on it's back or something. they could make it's eyes look more evil too if they wanted. And being how T-Rex is said to have some sort of venom or toxin in it's bite, they could add that to it as well. like have a person survive a t-rex bite for some lucky reason but then slowly die because of the poison. Just an example.
ReplyNanoraptorDinosaurs ForumDinoFights UpdateJun 5, 2013
I'm gonna guess that Suchomimus and Edmontonia end up in the finals, and Edmontonia wins.
Replyt-rex90Jurassic World ForumWhat could be scarier than T.Rex and Spinosaurs? Raptorex? Jun 5, 2013
For god sakes just give it a rest already Mr. Spinosaurus Rex.
Anyway, yeah, I think it's likely T-Rex will return as the main carnivore again (thank god) being how the film's to take place back on Nublar. For new dinosaurs though, maybe Baryonyx or Acrocanthosaurus would be cool to see as second main dinos. Though I'd preferably would like to see a water dinosaur added to the mix, maybe a Leopluradon or Mosasuar.
ReplyBignamethatsreallyhardtopronounceosaurusDinosaurs ForumDinoFights UpdateJun 5, 2013
Carnotaurus will probably win. Daspletosaurus or Gorgosaurus will make it to the finals with him, if my predictions are correct.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumFavourite SpinosaurJun 5, 2013
So my favourite Spinosaur debate turned into an Acrosanthosaurus debate? I don't mind, whatever keeps us busy. I never really thought if Acro was a Spinosaur or Allosaur.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumWhy I KNOW Spinosaurus is the BiggestJun 5, 2013
Sorry if I came on a little strong (I don't know if I did or not). I just posted what I did assuming that was what S-Rex meant/knowing what he is like.
It may help if you read Rex Fan's discussion if you haven't already. We are just trying to stop the T-Rex hating. We are not diehard Rex fans, we just like the dinosaur. I like Rex better because it was one of the last dinosaurs, it has been found in the U.S. and Canada (I am Canadian, eh?). There are other reasons too, but those are two. Honestly, if there was a museum with a Spino skeleton (is there one?), I would go there in a heartbeat.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
I think the Monster of Aramberri would be. It may be the same as Liopleurodon though. I do like that you included Basilosaurus.
Replyfuturepaleontologist1Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
we'll normally I would put those on, but they should be truly apex. Other animals ruled a higher throne than those animals. Plus, animals from the paleazoic deserve more recognition as well. There's not enough room, and none of the animals you named were truly apex. That, and I want general people to be able to understand the animals on this list. If I were to do a more advanced prehistory nut list, some of those animals would definitely be on it. Thanks Makavelli!
ReplyMakaveli7Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
What about Mauisaurus, Monster of Aramberri, Pliosaurus Macromerus, Dorset Pliosaur and Livyatan Melvillei?
Replyfuturepaleontologist1Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
And though there may be a few slightly off details, I did this all by memory, so it's not increadibly accurate.
Replyfuturepaleontologist1Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
Ya, the plesiosaur is a little iffy, huh?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop ten ocean predators of all timeJun 5, 2013
Not bad, can't say I agree with every detail you have, but you have a good top 10. I don't know if Plesiosaurus should be on there though. Especially ahead of Elasmosaurus. Perhaps Shoniosaurus instead.
ReplyCharcardontosaurusDinosaurs ForumTyrannosaurus Rex- Hunter or ScavengerJun 5, 2013
I would probably say both as with most Predators I could hunt its Prey but it's much easier to just steal from Someone else. And who is gonna mess with the biggest, meanest dog?
Reply ALI3NJurassic World ForumMy Plot Idea for JPIVJun 5, 2013
Oh and I just thought of something awesome, I was thinking you should have Oviraptor, you could have a funny scene where an Oviraptor steels one of the teams dinosaurs eggs and the team has to now game trail this thing to get back the eggs before the Oviraptor breaks them. So they go through a heard of Parasolophus and other herbivors just to try to get back the Oviraptor's stolen egg. Or they can use vehicles in this film. Like the Lost world vehicles.
Reply ALI3NJurassic World ForumMy Plot Idea for JPIVJun 5, 2013
I really love the beginning of the movie, kinda sets the tone for the film. Reminds me of the scene with Tron Legacy at encom tower where they have a business meeting, or when they had an interview for Rise Of the planet of the Apes. Now for when they arrive on the island, may I have a suggestion. Instead of a Liopleurodon, how about a Mosasaur, those are more cooler! And they are more scarier! And I now that Scarlett Johansson would be an awesome cast member for this, I don't think she would be affordable but who knows, but may I make a suggestion. How about elizabeth mitchell as Rachel, well I know she has been in Lost and Revolution, she's an amazing actor. And for the captain, Idris Elba. Oh and don't forget Stephan Lang!
And as for the new dinosaur carcharodontosaurus, I think it's awesome! If it is the main antagonist, I hope it looks like the one from Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, with colour schemes like the Dilophosaurus. Here's a photo as to what I'm talking about.

And they did had long arms so InGen could easily alter their genetic code and allowed them to have Spinosaurus arm length.
And plus, the plot is really good. I was hoping that you should do something where they use a sonic gun to scare off the dinosaurs in order to get the eggs, like in the lost world novel.

ReplyBrontosaurus>ApatosaurusDinosaurs ForumOxalaiaJun 5, 2013
Yeah but Spino wasn't built like the rest of the Spinosaurids. It had more generalized jaws capable of subduing larger prey. A study from this year showed that diet was based more on individual size. Small to medium sized Spinosaurus would have fed primarily on fish, while full grown ones would be able to take larger prey. Also, according to research conducted on the isotopic compositions of turtles, crocodiles and other theropods like Allosaurus along with Spinosaurids, Siamosaurus was closer to the aquatic animals in isotopic composition than any other Spinosaur and Spinosaurus was the most adapted for land, as its crocodilian jaws suggest when compared to the gharial-like jaws of other Spinosaurs. Oxalaia had thinner jaws like Suchomimus, so it was probably closer to the piscivorous image of Spinosaurus everyone has than the actual Spinosaurus.

I know I said I did not add any dinos, but I could not resist. I added Carcharodontosaurus, Balaur bondoc, Iguanodon, and Ouranosaurus. Acrocanthosaurus, Torosaurus, and Therizinosaurus are probably next.
