I should have mentioned I was not getting into exact species. My bad.
Yangchuanosaurus lived slightly before the other dinosaurs, so I don't include it.
Like I said, everything stated was my opinion.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumCarcharodontosaurus vs Mapusaurus vs GiganotosaurusAug 28, 2013
You know as well as I do about the presumidly Giganotosaurus Allosaur form brazil. I was at least 48, and at max 54 feet long.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe Top Predator of the Late JurassicAug 28, 2013
Okay, I don't agree with your sizes, but I'm not arguing, they are your sizes. These are my opinions. Top four predators of jurassic, Yangchuanosaurus magnus, Torvosaurus, Allosaurus amplexus, Saurophaganax. Saurophaganax is 40+ feet and I think it would have been one of the dead.iest, even though it wasn't in great numbers. Torvosaurus had a wicked bite, and was 35-40 feet long. Yangchuanosaurus magnus was 36 feet long, and was 5 tons. A amplexus was 38 feet long and also five tons. Not sure on weight for sauro or Torvosaurus, but I think Saurophaganax is the winner,if it is not das monster Von Midan.
ReplyMakaveli7Dinosaurs ForumThe Top Predator of the Late JurassicAug 28, 2013
Okay, a few criticisms, all on size.
Saurophaganax is 36 feet from the smallest specimen, the rest are between 40 and 43 feet and the largest is undescribed though rumored to be around 50. Weight on average was about 6 or 6.5 tons based on Allosaurus.
Torvosaurus t., the American Torvosaurus, was around 30-33 feet on average and maxed at 35. Weight centered around 4 tons.
The European Torvosaurus, Torvosaurus s., averaged 40 feet and was up to 43 feet based on a skull. Weight averaged 7 tons based on Edmarka rex.
Allosaurus fragilis measured around 30-33 feet on average while the largest, "Epanterias", was 40 feet and was just very likely an extremely old A. fragilis, like sue was a very old Tyrannosaurus rex. Weight centered around 3 tons based on numerous specimens.
The way I see it, Allosaurus was likely the apex predator, being far more numerous, but then again, it could be like the coyote to Saurophaganax's wolf and Torvosaurus' mountain lion, and Ceratosaurus was the wolverine.
ReplyMakaveli7Dinosaurs ForumCarcharodontosaurus vs Mapusaurus vs GiganotosaurusAug 28, 2013
Whoa, where'd you get such a tiny Mapusaurus estimate from?
And @Deltadromeus the SGM DIN1 specimen has a skull nearly Gigantosaurus sized based on a 6 foot skull from fragments. At the very least Carcharodontosaurus is 41 feet and that's as valid as a 50 foot Spinosaurus from MSNM V4046, which is 56 feet or more.

though seeing the troodon from thhe games in the movie would be great
also deinosuchus and argentinosaurus

I always thought a dimetrodon or gorgonopsid would be amzing!
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumCarcharodontosaurus vs Mapusaurus vs GiganotosaurusAug 28, 2013
I have their sizes broken up like this...
Giganotosaurus- 40-46 ft long and 6-8 tons
Carcharodontosaurus- 35-40 ft long and 5-6.5 tons
Mapusaurus- 30-36 ft long and 3-4 tons
I'd say Giganotosaurus
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 28, 2013
I think it is a new Abelisaur. I just can't see Rugops being 40 feet long.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumCarcharodontosaurus vs Mapusaurus vs GiganotosaurusAug 28, 2013
Where did you get Carcharadontosaurus being 46 feet. 42-3 feet max is what I think. Include what DinoFights sister found and you get a Giganotosaurus/unknown species that is 50 feet long. Going by what you say though, I'd say Giganotosaurus. It was the heaviest build and had the biggest head.

Yeah, the first week of school can be a bitch, luckily up here in the great white north we don't start until september... FBR was created during the school year so I think it can hold out... (only if im not buried in homework again)
I actually haven't seen many spino fans around lately... nor S. Rex...
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumCarcharodontosaurus vs Mapusaurus vs GiganotosaurusAug 28, 2013
Hard to say. They all have advantages. If its a three way, I think Mapu because Giga and Carchar would go for each other, and Mapu could attack the one of its choice. Then it would just be the survivor vs Mapu, and it could take out the survivor easily (likely) after the wounds it attained from the other one.
In a 1vs1 tournament, I'd say Carchar.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 28, 2013
'The Predator" is a very poorly known giant predator from Africa. It has a build and skeletal design similar to abelisaurs and tyrannosaurs. It's rumored that it was between 35 and 43 ft and 5-10 tons in weight. Like the Horror Mouth, very little is known about it.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumSuchomimus vs EdmontoniaAug 27, 2013
Great fight. I'm thinking Yutyrannus. Its body doesn't have to deal with the cold, but the other one does, even though it is warm blooded.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumSarcosuchus vs TitanoboaAug 27, 2013
Great, yet predicable fight. An anaconda can fight a caiman, but it is much much bigger than one. Titanaboa was fighting a losing battle from the start.

Me too. I really hope something big happens to this site, aka, team raptor. I'm talking to you Chris! And I'm doing high school math and middle school everything else. I'm still a consistent member. Even when I was gone all day today.
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 27, 2013
Actually now that you mention it Rex Fan i agree, Rugops had very weak jaws it would be hard to mistake them for a Carchar,
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 27, 2013
I was just trying to find other suspects. I have a hard time believing it was Rugops itself. I can see it being another abelisaur, but not Rugops. This lower jaw has to be pretty strong to have been mistaken for a Carcharodontosaurus. Rugops has a pretty weak skull design, for it's s size at least.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 27, 2013
I heard "the predator" had a very robust skull and jaw, and, while this piece is huge, it's not the lower jaw of the predator, which allegedly was a foot or more inches tall at the tallest point, the skull being nearly cubical.
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 27, 2013
Do you have the link to this article? And wow perhaps it was another undiscovered abelisaur we don't even know about but it could be possible Rugops is a relatively new find so who knows!
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumRugops: The Giant You Thought Was SmallAug 27, 2013
It could belong to the mysterious dinosaur "The Predator." This dinosaur has been described as an abelisaur/tyrannosaur mix. It's been said that this dinosaur was 35-43 feet. Comparable to that size. Perhaps it's just Rugops' close cousin. Rugops is a pretty well documented dinosaur. All specimens point to animals in the 20-30 ft range. Big, but not huge.

I try to be. Even if it's just for a few minutes.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumSarcosuchus vs TitanoboaAug 27, 2013
The key to this battle was the fact that Sarcosuchus had a good anti-constricting weapon. The death-roll and it's claws.
Glad you guys liked it. I thought it was a good match up that has not been done yet.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumSarcosuchus vs TitanoboaAug 27, 2013
Good fight. Some battles could be determined by one simple move. An example could be Rex vs Trike (who thought I was gonna say Spino? Be honest). Rex could win with a proper ambush and attack. But Trike could win it if it hit Rex if it tried to side step and Trike caught it in time.

is because the spino fans feel defeated after all these spino vs rex threads :p
Replyhman616Dinosaurs ForumEveryone Disappeared....Aug 27, 2013
i feel that only the uber fans remain, like myself. However, many of these fans more than likely don't post anything, such as myself. News is the only factor, I believe, that will bring in more fans more often.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumEveryone Disappeared....Aug 27, 2013
A combination of school, lack of news, boredom with discussions?
Sometimes discussions can be repetitive (Spino vs Rex, anyone?) but it's sad people are missing out on stories as excellent as Deltadromeus' and Rex Fan's. I will be putting extra effort into season 3, so hopefully things will pick up soon...

ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumSarcosuchus vs TitanoboaAug 27, 2013
I think that if Titanoboa got a good grip on it would be over in a second, being that if it got every inch of its body around the croc it could apply the pressure of three Eiffel towers, but if the croc got a good bite it would win, and that's what happened in this case.
Replytyrant963Dinosaurs ForumSarcosuchus vs TitanoboaAug 27, 2013
Just like the common battles in the swamp,a constricting snake vs the jaws of the lake. Thanks to you i can think how the battle might work thanks

ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumEveryone Disappeared....Aug 27, 2013
It's probably school and the lack of news. School hasn't started (for me) yet, but it has been busy. I am going to the high school tomarrow, but I always check at night.

I would like to see the same thing, but maybe better graphics and some new faces such as;
*Amargasaurus
*Apatosaurus
*Baryonyx
*Carnotaurus
*Compsognathus
*Iguanodon
*Pachyrhinosaurus
*Troodon
*Tuojiangosaurus
*Yutyrannus
It wold be very interesting to see some new gameplay mechanics such as Floods or blackouts. but In all honesty, I don't want to see a lot of changes so it feels like I'm still play JPOG, some mad scientist RPG to some levels.
ReplyTherizinosaur01Dinosaurs ForumThe Chicken is a Devolved Velociraptor!?Aug 27, 2013
While they are smaller yes, but they are FAR from dumb. As I have heard they're cognitive abilities supersede those of cats and dogs. They can learn from observation, demonstrate self-control, and even worry about their future. So It's pretty safe to say that Velociraptor may have even been may have been less intelligent than what we get from KFC. And that's saying a lot. And I'm not saying that those pack-hunting, big-clawed, feathered raptors are stupid, but do you REALLY think that a Velociraptor would have to worry? Sure there is a chance a hungry Tarbosaurus could make him lunch, but other than that, they're apex predators! And chickens only worry because they know soon they will die and if female, they're babies will be stolen and devoured by humans.
