That is pretty sweet Paden. I think it would have been just a tad better if, instead of putting "It'll" you had put "It will." Perhaps that's just the formal writing I was taught in English class though.

Lord VaderDinosaurs ForumFBR Jurassic Park 3 Alternate Ending

I wish the stuck to the original ending. It would have given people a reason to watch the movie again. I'd pay to see the Spino get killed by Velociraptor in JP3.

Next? I do believe I said it was a four part, and well, here's the fourth part. I guess I'll throw together a fifth one. It'll be kinda slow, more diologue, less action.

Well, the original ending was that the Spinosarus was killed by the Velociraptors. I'd pay to see this ending.

It's entirely possible, but I'm not sure. I personally wouldn't want to sell a copy of JPOG if I had it because it's a rare game these days. I'd hazard to guess an easy $50 for it.

This belongs in the "Jurassic Park Games" section of the JW forums, so I'll move it for you.

Looking at a bit slight offset to the top of the picture, my guess is we are looking here at the skeletal frame of a dinosaur regardless what type of dinosaur it is. If most people think it is the visitor's area, then it's either a staircase or spinal ridge held with a metal bar that goes through it to keep it up in its place.

TheDinosaurManJurassic World ForumWill there be Mr. DNA in Jurassic World?

I am going to agree with Paden for this one, he has a point.  But I wouldn't rule it out completly because of this picture at the Licensing Expo (right underneath "DNA Fusion" to the right of the pteranodon).  We probably won't see a video, but we might be able to see him on a sign or something in the background of a movie.  An "easter egg" for Jurassic Park fans.

The books. The had better scenes, and the charcaters were much better. And there was much more violence. The dinosaurus don't hesiatate to be violent.

I like both the book and the movie
but if I have to choose, I'd choose the movie
because in the movie, lex and malcolm are not as annoying as they were in the book

the books were better IMO.

They did a better job at explaining certain things, and all in all they just made more sense to me. All that fancy technological terminology i will admit, got me a little lost at some points.

I myself like the book better. It was more violent and Muldoon was more badass, and survived. It did a really damn good job of explaining everything as well.

That said, nothing tops the final Rex roar in the movie.

I'll just move this to the JW forums for you, if you need help, just send me (or anyone on JW really) a PM and we will get to you as soon as possible.

Lord VaderDinosaurs ForumSmall Length Increase Means Big Weight Gain For T.rex?

Probably. Closer to 40 I'm not mistaken, and yeah, the thing was around for two or three million years before it was taken out by an apocalypse.

CarnosaurDinosaurs ForumSmall Length Increase Means Big Weight Gain For T.rex?

Geographical variation in a species plays a large role too, so in my mind a 9 ton Tyrannosaurus isn't out of the question. We have what? 30 individuals? Sue just happens to be the largest, but there are a few that are almost her size...and there's probably an even larger one waiting to be unearthed.

Lord VaderDinosaurs ForumSmall Length Increase Means Big Weight Gain For T.rex?

I think that perhaps as a Tyrannosaurus got longer, it got more robust. It makes sense, does it not? An adult Tyrannosaurus is muscle on top of muscle, while a juvenile is graceful, slender, lightly built. So, as one got older, it would get bigger and more heavily built.

That said, not all individuals of the same size are going to weigh the same. It all depends on how well they ate, how often they walked around or hunted, etc. For example, a Tyrannosaurus that followed its main source of food around would be more muscular than a Tyrannosaurus that would lie in wait as it would be more active.

@Jezza It has to do with individual weight within a species, not every animal weighs the same! Sue was a much more robust Tyrannosaurus then say Black Beauty, or even Bucky. Thus, Sue would weigh more. What this post simply means is Sue was larger and longer then the holotype...at least i think

Jezza Dinosaurs ForumSmall Length Increase Means Big Weight Gain For T.rex?

2 ft. equals two more tons? Hell no. I don't believe that for one second. The sizing methods used aren't all that trustworthy. I don't believe we'll ever no the exact sizs of any dinosaur. I believe that rex was 40-45 ft. long, 16-17 ft. tall, and 8-9 t (and I'm being generous with that weight). That accounts for the skeleton, organs, fat, muscle, and all the other shit in a t-rex.

I don't think 2 more feet would mean two more tons, that is ridiculous. For the most part, I think Acro Rex is right (except for the 7 t thing). I also think that everyone can be calm and rational. So suck it up and deal with each others' opinions! Have a nice day. :)

It's cool Mr. Happy. I get grumpy in the morning too.

While I think spino was spent a lot of time in the water, I also think it got on land to hunt as well. It didn't have those long therapod legs for nothing. Spino's jaws actually did have to be quite strong, they had to keep massive slippery fish under control. Another way I think spino could have hunted was ambush, he'd sneak up on a drinking dinosaur by swimming underwater. Then, at the right moment, he'd strike forward with his jaws agape to grab the victims neck and pull it under to drown it. As you can see, that is exactly what crocs do. Another reason that I say spino had a very strong bite force is that he had the head of a crocodile, and everyone knows that crocs have to strongest bite force of today. Here's also another reason, that hunting tactic I used  earlier would need a strong bite force to grip a large animal, drab it under, and drown it while crushing its wind pipe. Spino would need a large body to compete with other dinos, survive in a land of giants (bahariasaurus, carcharadontosaurus, parililititan, etc.), and hunt on land. More evidence for spino actively being on land are those giant claws. Those claws didn't just stay tucked up next to his body 24/7. They were massive and had to have had some use.

I know this is off topic, what do you guys think of velociraptor climbing trees? It had all the right tools, its claws even face in the right direction for it.
