either way, it's gonna eat your face
REX FAN 684 - The premise of a T-Rex dancing like a Bird of Paradise is beautiful. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, but I find the idea cute, stunning and eerie in its similitude to modern-day avians. I see no reason why a creature of that size and presence wouldn't attempt to win a mate by showing-off what nature gave it - assuming its coloration was dazzling or it sported an array of feathers that was vibrant! Oh, and I, too, would likely pass out or ruin one of my favorite skirts were a T-Rex's gaze to fall upon me! I'm a 5', 106lb woman! What could I bloody do other than run or faint?! :)
Now that I said it, I find the idea that T.rex did a mating dance like a bird of paradise quite intruiging. Some might laugh at this, but I'm serious. Seeing a male T.rex bobbing it's head and flashing bright head crests or feathers would be quite something.
Yeah, well, that's America for ya. Once they get something good, they let everyone know about it, haha.
Pretty cool, tyrannosaurus is as american as they come.
Noticed that these dinosaurs are not only all-american, but they are some of the most recognizable ones out there
Truly interesting....i think The coloration of the herbivores would be drab, or match the foliage around them. It's a smart evolutionary tactic that keeps populations thriving, while the predators take out the sick, old, injured, etc.
However, i do believe their behaviors would be unique, much unlike that of modern day reptiles and birds. It could be that i'm wrong though, and they shared the ritual behaviors of the fauna alive today.
We may never know, but it's truly interesting to guess and configure behaviors based on fossil evidence and modern day animals
Claws are one of the Hardest things to do, Trust me, I was trying for Hours...
Instead I went with a shadow of a Rex.
Depending on the Photoshop you use, It can either be real easy, Or more difficult then Sprinting through a Ten Km Mine field with Mines Spaced 3 MM Apart...
sugjestion add a claw swipe in the form of blood
but aside from that its preety cool
Care for a Higher Res Version?
Ask And I'll provide one.
Indeed. I do think, since it's likely T.rex had realy good binocular vision, it's eyes would look like an eagle or hawk...

Not only does this show the animal has great vision, but simply looking at the eyes shows the depth of the intelligence of it. I find that unsettling myself. But like I said, that's what I THINK.
Either way, if this was looking at me, I'd probably pass out...

REX FAN 684 - Indeed. The behavior and mentality of the creatures is the primary focus of the post. However, the physical appearance is an underlying portion. I'm certain that a T-Rex would look fundamentally like the interpretations we've seen in films and artists renditions. However, There might be certain aspects about the animal's physiology that would confuse us. For example, a T-Rex's eyes might have been similar to those of a modern day gecko, as is illustrated in the image below. Most species of gecko are extremely primitive with regards to genetic lineage. That would certainly be somewhat unsettling! :)
This is quite the concept and one I think was worth bringing up. Nice job :)
Anyways, I don't think their overall appearance would be all that "alien" to us, but the behavior conducted by these animals would be. We guess as to how a T.rex attracted a mate, but we'll never know. Maybe it did some "dance" like a modern bird of paradise. Maybe it fought other males to impress the female like bison. Maybe it did something else all its own. For me, the behavior of animals dead for 65 million years is what seems "alien." I hope this is what you were getting at. Theoretical things are hard for me to wrap my head around, so I took a guess, haha.
Once again, great post.
I love both. The books were good, but I wouldn't change anything they did in the movies. For example, the finale of the first movie was much better than the finale for the book(in my opinion). The books do help to explain it though.
Most of those pictures have already been Leaked. The Rex seen in the end is from one of the past Movies, While; The Fence CGI Picture, was Debunked Due to it's Unreliable source, and How... "Shady" It looked.
Awesome. Can't wait to see what you come up with for that one, plus any other posters you do in the future.
@Something Real
It's foreshadowing a Possible Outbreak of Species from the Island.
@Rex Fan 684
I'll have to look into that, Should't be too Difficult. I usually Photoshop the pictures, And it's so dificult to find the right Pictures.
With this one, I actually wanted to have something in the Background, Breaching the surface.. But Limitation strikes again.
I'll take that into account for the next one!
Glad you liked it so much. It was fun putting it together. I chose skeletons for a change because I thought they'd be more appropriate for it. Don't know why, they just did.
Seems like I'll always be able to come up with top 10 lists, but everyone can feel free to give suggestions. I'll see if I can work with them :)
REX FAN 684 - That is an exceptionally neat line-up! I greatly enjoyed the fact that you presented the animals' skeletons on display rather than life-like images. I also very much enjoyed the fact that you saved T-Rex for last (#1!) and had honorable mentions - very fascinating! Thank you ever so much for presenting this! :)
Oh, if I could make a suggestion for one, I think a poster with a T.rex silhouette looking at a setting sun over the horizon with the Jurassic World logo in the corner would be cool. Perhaps the back of a mosasaur breaking the surface of the ocean. This would indicate the escape of the dinosaurs and their desire to leave the island. Just a thought.
Wow, seems legit overall, so, cool.
Is it possible that all the dinosaurs in the park are going to be born female, just like the first few dinosaurs that hatched in the original? Because the T-rex model in the video is definitely a female; her crests and nose ridge are relatively small.
wow the rex is black instead of brown. thats interesting. maybe dinosaurs dont just have one or two colors?
Thank ya, thank ya very much.
Well said Rex Fan. There are many variables to pretty much everything in Paleontology.
X_PADEN_X - That is a very neat poster; you've done a great job! However, I don't quite grasp the relation between the upcoming film and a soldier decked-out in full combat garb and HazMat gear. Is it an allusion to the destruction that occured on Isla Nublar in the original Jurassic Park when the island was destroyed via napalm? Or is it foreshadowing with regards to what is very likely going to occur within Jurassic World? Regardless, this is an extremely thought-provoking image you've made. Thank you very much for sharing it with us! :)
JPCARNOTAUR and MR.HAPPY9097 - That was exceptionally neat and fun to watch! I'm very excited for this film! Thank you for bringing this to us! :)
MR.HAPPY9097 - That was a very fun conclusion! However, if you choose to make a fifth installment, I'll be more than happy to read it! Thank you very much for sharing this with us! :)
JPCARNOTAUR - The video hasn't shown up! :(
I see. Just something I noticed, and nice, I see what you did there.
I agree with R. Happy. Unless you don't want it, then sell it for what you think it's worth. If you have all the original packaging, then sell it for maybe 80$
@Mr.Happy9097
I Probably should've corrected that, I was quoteing it straight from Richard Attenborugh however...
Next time, It will be Flawlesss, I assure you...
Sick poster!
I taking a trip to NYC(gonna see the AMNH again, but once is not enough), then swing up to Boston, and finally Acadia National Park in Maine before heading back home.
Good, but I was rooting for Abelisaurus too.
I'm rooting for...
Baryonyx
Allosaurus
Albertosaurus
Tuiojianogsaurus
Kelmayisaurus
Neovenator
Australovenator
The point of this post was to show there could be big weight variations in T.rex, even if the length difference was minimal.
I look at paleontology this way. We can't just jump to conclusions. We can't give a T.rex an exact weight or Troodon an exact IQ. It's like a trial at a court. A jury may be presented with someone convicted of murder, but 90 percent of the evidence points to it being someone else. This person's on trial only because of one or two similarities. The jury can't make a sound ruling based on such circumstantial and fragmentary evidence. Well, we are the jury and paleontology is on trial. Can we really draw such specific conclusions when we don't have all the facts? With absolutly no pun intended(well, some), the jury is still out.
I used to look for jpog PC games but ended up with a demo all the offers I saw were $500+ On amazon
