VIPERTRONJurassic Park ForumJurassic Battle Royale Tournament Round 1 Battle 1: JW Raptor Squad Vs. TLW Tiger Raptor Pack

Nice! I was hoping the JW raptors would win too. The TLW raptors are much more experienced though, since they dealt with many more attacks and kills. But yes, the Jw raptors are smarter. Also, can you make another fight with the JP3 raptors?

VIPERTRONDinosaurs ForumRandom Fight: Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Spinosaurus

Good fight, this fight is actually the most accurate rex vs spino fight I've read so far! All the spino fans make the rex die easily, and rex fans make the rex rip the spino apart. This fight is most likely what actually would have happened in the real world if the two actually lived at the same time at the same place. The only thing I must say is this: wouldn't the spino be tired down since its arm got bitten off? All the blood loss would surely make the spino weaker.

Anyways, great job, one of the best fights I've seen

VIPERTRONDinosaurs ForumCeratosaurus Vs. Stegosaurus

Personally, Ceratosaurus is one of my favorite dinos. But I must say, it couldn't beat stegosaurus. Stegosaurus may be dumb, but one swipe and your good as dead. It would take multiple successful attacks from the ceratosaurus to do real damage to the stego, but even if the stego's tail accidentally catches on the ceratosaurus' body, its either dead, or terribly wounded. Stegosaurus has been known to defeat even Allosaurus, which can grow up to 40 feet (though the average size is 28 feet.)! Ceratosaurus is small then Allosaurus and not as effective, so there would be a pretty small chance that cerato wins this one.

VIPERTRONDinosaurs ForumTyrannosaurus rex Vs. Spinosaurus Vs. Giganotosaurus Vs. Carcharodontosaurus

Spino can easily defeat giga or carcharo. And carcaro and giga do NOT have the same stats. Giga had a stronger jaw design, since it hunted sauropods, and carcharo had better teeth for slicing. Maybe in the 2014 version of spino, it was quadruped, but the most widely accepted version is still a bipedal spino. Spino was much taller than both rex carcharo and giga. Rexes jaw strength should be enough to crush any of competitors necks, and one swipe from spino should leave marks in the bone. Rex jaws can break through concrete, and spino's claws can cut through metal. Also giga is bigger than both carcharo and rex. Without the alliance, the real winner here should be spino or giga, since the rex is an ambush predator, and would have trouble fighting off three other dinos. Rex may kill one or two like carcharo or giga, but all it has for weapons is its jaws. Sorry to all the T rex fans here, but rex has a small chance of winning.

This is the most accurate spino so far

S-RexJurassic World ForumWhat if Jurassic World is the last good Jurassic Park movie and JW2 sucks?

To be completely honest, I didn't even think that Jurassic World is worthy of being called "great". Simply put, i think it was pretty meh. The only thing that saved it was Owen's character and the fight at the end. Other than that, the acting was abhorrent, both to watch and listen to. However, it was definitely an IMAX experience for the ages.

For 14 years of absence, I was hopeful for much more than what we got. Then I saw, for some reason I have yet to understand, that directing for a very critically acclaimed franchise was put into the hands of a vaguely known Indy film director. It was right about here where I lost a decent amount of my faith in how it may turn out, but for my love of the franchise, I had to continue putting faith into it.

Now, J.A Bayona has directed a couple of pretty good movies from what I've heard, including A Monster Calls. With that being said, I have a decent amount more faith in this next installment and for what it may offer, and for God's sake, I hope Bryce Dallas Howard has taken a few extra acting classes.

The rest of the cast looks pretty promising. Most have been in some damn good movies, like James Cromwell, that one goofy looking guy from Captain America, and even Rafe Spall did well in Life of Pi as the writer. The new director nonetheless has definitely made me gain hopes as opposed to Trevorrow, as well as the more star worthy cast.

After-note to anyone:

Please do try a demo (if you have any free time), it is quite a thrill! Just get use to the one-arm controls lol ;)

Its one of the few video games that aren't too violent but still thought-provoking. Can be difficult at times tho, just use your intuition and knowledge of Jurassic Park (particularly JP: The Lost World)!

ULTRAZERO80 - Hmm...I am not certain it is extant. However, with a time-displacement device, we could likely visit the time in which its species thrived and acquire one! :)

We can't necessarily assume this is all they will announce yet... I still look forward to something bigger here in the next few days.

despite the fact I love the character, I'm sort of hoping they adapt his gory death from the book

Nice to see Bryce shared something but tbh, I was expecting a louder announcement. Universal posted nothing to commemorate the day and the rest of the cast are silent too. This could've been a great moment to celebrate and remind people about the sequel. Sadly it's not looking that exciting.

I take back what I said after reading the Jurassic Outpost article. This sounds like a scene with some action involved.

Very excited to have him back in the movie, it wouldn't be the same without him.

The military base could be where Owen gets ready to head back to Isla Nublar

I had gotten onto IMDB late yesterday and it says that they actually have started filming, as they said that they would start sometime this month on some news outlet I had seen prior, which is pretty exciting to say the least.

I see that this is an older post, and I don't know if the link was there when you wrote this or not, but about two minutes after the page loaded, I noticed the Isla Nublar link at the top right corner, wich takes you to the old site with the park info and everything.

S-RexJurassic World ForumPossible path for Jurassic World II

I'm in the same boat, overthinking tends to happen a lot in my everyday life. However, the overall tone of the movie has been announced to be darker, which is something to spectacle about. I'm really curious as to how they are going to achieve that.

i actually knew what you meant, but i still answered thinking maybe you knew something i don't, like maybe there was an announcement where Collin or Bayona said they were not going to pursue the previous storyline they gave out or something like that. :D being an overthinker sucks sometimes

What i meant to say was that the plot hasn't been released to the public, therefore unknown and still anybody's guess, sorry about that. And now that you mention it, i remember them saying there was going to be a trilogy.

@S-Rex i think they already have an official plot, its just that theres only so little news as to what that exactly is.

And yes, they've confirmed that JW will be a trilogy when they confirmed the 2nd one.

Obviously, any of this is plausible, as there isn't an official plot yet. Haven't they already confirmed a third sequel to this? I feel like they did when they confirmed the second one.

yes, but sadly the general public might not share the same mentality as us dino lovers. :)

This fact could be used as the new direction for the film.

Please, don't turn the dinosaurs into mindless killing machines.  One of the best things in the original was how the dinosaurs were portrayed; They were living, breathing animals.  Please, Bayona, don't take this away in JW2

S-RexJurassic World NewsJurassic World sequel titled 'Jurassic Age'?

Considering the stigma attached to changing the the word after "Jurassic" that the producers portrayed with Jurassic "World", I agree that Jurassic Age would go with the flow quite nicely.

I mean it's like a ladder of evolution, starting from the smallest: "Park", then the next: "World", and perhaps to set a new era in the franchise or represent the tone of the movie, "Age".

To be honest it sounds nice so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what it's called.

GavinJurassic World ForumAnswering questions... And to answer the first, yes, it's me.

The Jurassic World forums are currently featuring a lull in new topics and replies because the interest levels in the next movie have not even begun yet. We have learned here on Scified that after the release of a movie the forum participation drops quite considerably, picking up again when a new installment usually begins production or when the first trailer is released.

Proof of this can be found over at our Alien Covenant forums, previously known as the Prometheus forums, which have been reignited with many discussions daily with the new movie soon to be released.

Each forum has its dramas, and the Jurassic World forum is no exception. But to think that the forum is experiencing a lull in activity because of some past drama is incredulous - The only members of any forum community that react to any drama that escalates therein are those responsible for the aforementioned drama - as this OP clearly proves. The rest of the community at large; those not involved in said drama don't care about said drama. To keep drama to a minimum we ask in our forum rules that members debate the opinion, not the individual making the opinion, and to avoid engaging such drama inducing members where possible.
