Up until now, the cast of Jurassic World 2 consisted primarily of mostly new faces. The only returning cast members that were confirmed were Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt. This changed this morning, as BD Wong posted a picture on his instagram posing alongside a Raptor head at Pinewood studios.
The return of Dr. Henry Wu ties up one of the remaining loose ends in Jurassic World. In the last act of the movie, Dr. Henry Wu escaped the park via helicopter with Hoskins's right hand man, the Ingen Contractor. Wu did not escape the park empty handed, as he managed to take several samples of his research with him as well as dinosaur embryos.
Wu's return for the sequel indicates that we will discover where the helicopter's destination was. It seems likely that it went to an Ingen base or somewhere similar. Wu's escape also indicates the survival of Hoskin's plans, as his data regarding dinosaur hybrids was also one of the likely items that he recovered.
It also appears likely that we may be introduced to more players in the initial scheme to create hybrids. If the action moves to the mainland, this may lead into some website domains that were recently discovered. It is possible that Wu may take his data to either Ingen or a competitor, leading to further exploitation of dinosaurs. This may be where widespread controversy regarding the ethical cloning of dinosaurs takes place.
The velociraptor alongside BD Wong appears to be one of the 1:1 maquettes that Legacy effects made for Jurassic World. In this case, it would seem to be an unpainted sample. However, it appears under further examination that the instagram picture may have a filter on it to deter scrutiny.
BD Wong fills out a large cast, that seems very close to completion. The cast currently includes Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, James Cromwell, Justice Smith. So far the only main cast member left seems to be 'Lucy', who is rumored to already be cast with the role going to a girl between the ages of nine and ten in London.
