Spinosaurus (spine lizard) is a suitable name that describes the sale on it's back. I get you on the other ones though. One spinosaur named irritator literally means "irritating one". T.Rex means "Tyrant lizard king". Which name sounds cooler? Spinosaurus, or Tyrannosaurus Rex? Which meaning sounds "more ferocious"? Spine lizard, or Tyrant lizard king?

i think they may have been leading us on to something with the contarasurus in jp 3 (please excuse my spelling) also they have a mold for an action figure of it so we could see it in the next movie personally i believe we should see the dilophasur return (they can grow close to the legenth of a rex)

The DNA in the shaving cream can was good for 48 hours, but I guess it got covered in mud in the storm for a reason. I forget the cop pushing the button in JP2, but I haven't seen the movies in a while (if I get them on DVD/Blu-ray, I will probably watch them more often, but probably when I'm sick or home alone)

I think it would be cool to have all the large predators in the movie. To Star Killer People like T.Rex over Spino because..... Well, ugh, I dunno, they just do. T.Rex is the icon of the series along side velociraptor, while Spino was added to change things around. I like Spino, it was a really cool dinosaur. Think of things this way: A full grown Spino killed a sub-adult T.Rex. The bite to the neck would have been fatal in real life, but it wasn't full grown and it was a movie. I have one question though: How many people actually knew what Spino was before JP3? Just wondering.

id hate to tell you this but in a recent interview Robert bakker (who was the dinosaur producer) said that he only wanted the spino to win because he didn't like how the rex had been triumphing every movie his solution make the dynasty of the rex's by a spinosaurus... so technically the rex should've won but i can understand bakkers point rex winning was getting slightly old, dont get me wrong i love the rex it seems so life like in jp cant wait to see it return in jp 4

T.Rex was the largest carnivore based on physical strength alone. It's actual size however, was rivalled by Gigantosuarus (Giga) and Charcharatontosourus (car-car-a-don-to-saw-rus, Charchar). Spinosaurus (Spino) was longer and taller than all three, but lighter, and ate fish. Kind of sad when you think about, T.Rex, the king of dinosaurs, getting killed by fish eater. Giga and Charchar would be a great fight to see vs. a T.Rex. T.Rex had a 6 000 pound bite force, with banana size teeth, and weighed around 6-7 tons, so it was pretty big, and it was one of the last dinosaurs, so it was more advanced (intelligence, bone structure, bone density, etc.) than any of the other predators listed above.

It would be different but what if there was water dinosaurs,like the Mosasaurus or the Elasmosaurus.

I agree with Jhawkins1987. I have read both novels six or seven times I think lol they're just so good. That scene in particular was one of my favs. Maybe implement some psychological scenes or deep, mind kicker sort of thing a few times. Idk, just what Id like to see pulled off for Jurassic Park IV.

Nobody could have nailed the way he portrayed John Parker Hammond. If theres anymore updates Ill be sure to let you all know. Of course you can always find out yourself but Im just sayin.

How about a Giagntosaurus? It's bigger than t-rex and spino and it is a dinosaur you don't hear much about. You could have T-Rex and Spino in it, and you could also have a pleisosaurus for a underwater fight (2 against each other) and malcom down there to witness because Kelly (his daughter has fallen off the boat they were on

But iv just thought in its defence i think in the film the embros could stay cool for 48hrs or summin?? Forgive me if im wrong :s so now thinkin about it kinda would be dead n un useable . Plus i think that that jurassic park walk through game has continued the story on the DNA can :s but i feel for ya :) i no the frustration!

I wouldnt say ruined it completely . But I think it killing t rex after being gnawed on for 10 secs around the neck and still surviving ruined it if anything for me. But all through the films iv wanted to see dinos hunt other dinos and the trex gallimimus scene was quality but one scene in 3 films aint good enough, i want more ! I dunno about u guys. Id love to see more head to head battles like trex spino with a decent outcome this time. And Something new like maybe the carnotaurs from the TLW novel with chameleon abilities sounds plain awesome. That chapter in general was scary enough so would suit the PG rating like previous films with no blood. What would u like to see ??

All Jurassic Park movies should be PG-13 at best, not all this ultra blood guts & gore, that would ruin the movie series. Basically JP4 should be summin like JP2: TLW. Whatever the directors & co are thinking they should not, I repeat NOT, put in the Spinosaurus or stupid sea Dino's. Raptors, T-Rex's, Brachiosaurs, Tricerotops, Dilophosaurus & older Dino's are what JP was built on & people are more familiar with. To me the Spinosaur sorta ruined the 3rd JP movie for me.

well if you remember in the novel the hadrosuar crashes into the rock and its blood spills every where that might be too much gore but we should see some blood from the dinosaurs.... thing is with anematronics its hard to replicate blood and wounds to the dinosaur but with cgi its much easier but they'll probably show a bit more blood/gore in the 4 jp but they'll most likely keep the age limit the same as previously

thats disappointing i loved richard playing hammond... it'll be a shame to loose him... but the time comes to every one... i just hope he lives to see jp 4s release.... Richard Attenborough you will be missed

@rex fan id hate to burst your bubble but allosaurs was SMALLER then rex it was in-between that off juvenile rex and utah raptor how ever thats a good possibility

i have a feeling we'll see t rex again but he'll have a new rival... not spino, Baryonyx could work for a water predator that tracks the group through the island, but we need a BIGGER dinosaur meaner then ever before.... how about we list possibilities, dilophasur, gigantasaur, Baryonyx, t rex, raptors, utah raptors and a few more bigger ones (i cant name them off the top of my head) im for the new dynasty of the dilos

I am a huge Tyrannosaurus fan, but there are some other cool large predators out there. Allosaurus would make and interesting superpredator. I would like to see more of Ceratosaurus, but he is a little small for a superpredator. Acrocanthosaurus would make a decent carnivore. There are many options. But like I said, I am a T-rex fan. What's cooler than a giant predator running 25 miles per hour and has a bite force of 3 to 9 tons per square inch?

That's really sad..... I was hoping for a cameo, but Richard Attenborough has served Jurassic Park well. He will be missed from the film.

I agree with the theory that T-rex was larger. Based on my research, it was bigger than Spinosaurus as well. A large rex was up to 50 feet in length and 9 or more tons. Spinosaurus was 6 feet longer, but only 5 to 6 tons. Giganotosaurus was the size of an average rex, 43 feet long and 7 or 8 tons, but smaller than the maximum size. New discoveries are being made all the time though, so who knows.

Id like to see Baryonyx make its debut. I dont know that much about dinos other than what I know from Grant . Thats all i got i dont feel like typing on this ipad lol.

I used to play alll those games as a little kid. Oh the memories. My favs were Warpath and The Lost World for PS1. TLW made me sooo pissed off though lol to this day it still drives me insane,so thank Jeebus for cheats!

Youd expect him to all those around him.. I.e being a recluse, deeply disturbed, yadda yadda. But hey, JPIV is still in the primordial soup so anything is possible haha

Yeah I was pretty upset when they showed no blood or guts when I was ambushed. More gore!!! The novel was pretty dark, so why not make it rated R? Who has the balls to say it wont be a good one since its not PG-13? Id prefer it to be rated R. Always have since I read the novels.

To Jetstetter Thanks for clearing things up, it was a good idea to start with, but it wasn't very clear. The whole environmentalist bit was just for a little comedy anyway. Your idea proves just how stupid civilians can be, finding a random computer and pushing buttons without knowing what they are doing.

Also, for your candidate for superpredator, what are some traits of this dino you want played out or think would make it a great predator? What scenes in the movie could you envision for it, how it interacts with humans as well as other dinosaurs? -J

i dont think we'll see any more games i loved telltales jurassic park the game but it was a let down i was expecting more, although we may see a lego jurassic park in the near future i dont think were going to get any as good as warpath also the arcade fight games like that are going extinct (no pun intended) we sadly may not see another jp game quite like warpath we may see one where you get to play the dinos but were not going to see one like warpath however this is just my opinion, the future may yet hold another GOOD jp game or maybe in-between the re-release of jp-3d and jp 4 we may see some re-release of the old games

Well Getz that's partially part of my story, the bioengineer was on the island and by chance had found the can of embryos and started his own team in Montana, as said in my earlier post.

i highly doubt they'll put it that high all other jp movies have been PG13 why stop now. if your shaking your head and saying no right now listen to what i have to say when has jurassic park ever shown blood from the dinos... they didn't even show muldoon's death scene why would they start putting stuff like that in now but i do agree a bit more gore is needed but i highly doubt theyll bump up the rating of it

Jhawkins1987, thanks for the feedback. Moving on from the Rex and Giga battle, are there any other battles that are unrealistic? Is the story plausible? What parts could be improved on? Anyones input is much appreciated, Thanks.

whatever happens, please don't forget the dinosaurs DNA in the can that was dropped on Isla Nublar. I was left there for a reason, Steven Spielberg wanted to do something about it ;)
