Look at other spinosaurids, Oxalaia, named after a god. Angaturama, means "noble one": .LIKE A BAWS. Then, Carcharodontosaurus, long name, but means "shark tooth lizard", how impressive is that? Carnotaurus, meat eating bull. Tyrannosaurus Rex, tyrant lizard KING. Spinosaurus is a lame name in my opinion. -"but your opinion stinks!"

Spinosaurus is a fantastic name, it is a ferocious name in its own. What kind of a name is Tyrannosaurus? Spino > T-Rex (fact)

Spinosaurus (spine lizard) is a suitable name that describes the sale on it's back. I get you on the other ones though. One spinosaur named irritator literally means "irritating one". T.Rex means "Tyrant lizard king". Which name sounds cooler? Spinosaurus, or Tyrannosaurus Rex? Which meaning sounds "more ferocious"? Spine lizard, or Tyrant lizard king?

Jack of all trades. Master of none

Based on the meanings listed above of the other dinosaurs listed, I think Spinosaurus is'nt really a great name either, it sounds fine but T-Rex owns them all, "Tyrant Lizard King" lol.
