MemberCompsognathusMar-28-2013 6:32 PMI'm all up for jurassic park beein more adrenaline filled an non stop action, I mean all the movies so far have been like that anyways, but it would be the worst idea to make it rated "R", the thing I loved about the others is that they were different than all the other "R" rated dino movies, jurassic park is better than that, thay have proven you can have an awesome "PG-13" dino movie, please don't ruin the franchise by makin it just another rated "R" movie, keep it "PG-13" an keep the integrity the fans have come to love an expect from the movies, thank you-DREX1986

MemberCompsognathusMar-28-2013 8:02 PMI think a 15 would be a gd age, due to the majority of the fans would now be on their late teens , twenties n thirties! Even harry potter was a pg13 n that didnt have any carnage !
Kids get in for any film these days anyway unless its an 18 n obvious.
My view is that a bit more blood wouldnt go amiss ! Worked fine for gladiator n that wasnt as gory as it could have been. Just edited very well. spielberg was a talented director who could get alot of fear, anxiety, n the full effect from just filming technique n minor details, with a new director , who nos what to expect. Making it a bit more for maturer audiences may be what they need to take the films to the next level .

MemberCompsognathusMar-28-2013 8:11 PMI COMPLETELY agree with both Drex and JHawkins. However, rather than step up the blood, I'd suggest step up the scary! -J

MemberCompsognathusMar-28-2013 11:53 PMi highly doubt they'll put it that high all other jp movies have been PG13 why stop now. if your shaking your head and saying no right now listen to what i have to say when has jurassic park ever shown blood from the dinos... they didn't even show muldoon's death scene why would they start putting stuff like that in now
but i do agree a bit more gore is needed but i highly doubt theyll bump up the rating of it

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 8:41 AMYeah I was pretty upset when they showed no blood or guts when I was ambushed. More gore!!! The novel was pretty dark, so why not make it rated R? Who has the balls to say it wont be a good one since its not PG-13? Id prefer it to be rated R. Always have since I read the novels.

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 12:07 PMwell if you remember in the novel the hadrosuar crashes into the rock and its blood spills every where that might be too much gore but we should see some blood from the dinosaurs.... thing is with anematronics its hard to replicate blood and wounds to the dinosaur but with cgi its much easier but they'll probably show a bit more blood/gore in the 4 jp but they'll most likely keep the age limit the same as previously

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 12:36 PMAll Jurassic Park movies should be PG-13 at best, not all this ultra blood guts & gore, that would ruin the movie series. Basically JP4 should be summin like JP2: TLW. Whatever the directors & co are thinking they should not, I repeat NOT, put in the Spinosaurus or stupid sea Dino's. Raptors, T-Rex's, Brachiosaurs, Tricerotops, Dilophosaurus & older Dino's are what JP was built on & people are more familiar with. To me the Spinosaur sorta ruined the 3rd JP movie for me.
Jhawkins1987
MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 3:30 PMI wouldnt say ruined it completely . But I think it killing t rex after being gnawed on for 10 secs around the neck and still surviving ruined it if anything for me.
But all through the films iv wanted to see dinos hunt other dinos and the trex gallimimus scene was quality but one scene in 3 films aint good enough, i want more ! I dunno about u guys.
Id love to see more head to head battles like trex spino with a decent outcome this time. And Something new like maybe the carnotaurs from the TLW novel with chameleon abilities sounds plain awesome. That chapter in general was scary enough so would suit the PG rating like previous films with no blood.
What would u like to see ??

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 4:16 PMI agree with Jhawkins1987. I have read both novels six or seven times I think lol they're just so good. That scene in particular was one of my favs.
Maybe implement some psychological scenes or deep, mind kicker sort of thing a few times. Idk, just what Id like to see pulled off for Jurassic Park IV.

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 9:25 PMid hate to tell you this but in a recent interview Robert bakker (who was the dinosaur producer) said that he only wanted the spino to win because he didn't like how the rex had been triumphing every movie his solution make the dynasty of the rex's by a spinosaurus... so technically the rex should've won so the spino may not be returning to the next movie
also more blood and gore isn't the answer to a good movie a good movie requires a good director a good producer and good writers not blood and gore and gore so you wont see the age limit bumped up
live with it

I agree with the movie being ruined after the having the Rex bite and push Spino around for 10 seconds (didn't even seem to be hurt that bad), and I don't care if the Rex wasn't full grown, it was almost as big as Spino, but I guess they needed to have a new predator, and now that T.Rex has had his break, he should win in JPIV.
I think JPIV should be like the rest at PG-13.
There has been a few scenes where there was blood:
Bearded guy on waterfall (JP2)
Eddie getting ripped in half (maybe more gore than anything, JP2)
Gallimimus getting mauled (if you don't know which JP this is from, you didn't have a childhood, JP1)
I forget if there was anymore (haven't seen the movies in a while)
Jack of all trades. Master of none

MemberCompsognathusApr-02-2013 2:29 PMIve always wanted a remake of JP (the original). more intense, longer, and following the novel more closely. This would obviously render an "R" rating. But in terms of creating a new series like they are trying to do w/ JP4, they would never make it rated "R". The amount of money they can make with a "PG-13" rating as opposed to "R" is astronomical. You genuinely lose out on a huge part of the market by getting an R rating, especially when this franchise has built a dual market with older adults who read the novels and the young audience who just love dinosaurs.
As for the plot, i think they need to try something new rather than the search and rescue, which, arguably, all three JP's incorporated. You can't have the plot be setting up the park again and having it fail again. I like the idea of aquatic dinos though. Screw the people who think you should only incorporate the "original" set of dinos (t-rex, raptors, etc.)

MemberCompsognathusApr-12-2013 1:14 AMA group of survivors wake up on an island. They didnt know how they crashed, but their main objective is to survive, as they find out there is more to this island. As they are being the hunted for dinosaurs. Someone bought this island and uses it as a hunting ground for dinosaurs. Only 1 person can survive this island and he or she must do whatever they can to survive.
Or -
A human colony is found on Isla Nublar, as it turns out, they came back to the island to wipe out the dinosaurs. They where tired of the city life and all the terrorism that they wanted to live off the land. As the colony regains their land, an evil InGen scientists gets payback for the colony for killing the dinosaurs, so he creates his own dinosaurs for payback. The carnivores have become more fiercer. As the colonists try to fight the war against the Dino's, they are soon lost. The war wages and this battle for who deserves to keep the island continues. The U.N orders an airstrike on the island. One person must stop the air strike before they kill off humans.

MemberCompsognathusApr-12-2013 1:24 AMOr, as the human population begins to rise, people are forced to live elsewhere. They are dumped on different islands across the world. One group of humans are the mop up crew, they are ordered to kill any threat in order for the people to live in safety. As the people create a small colony, they little realize that they are also living with dinosaurs. As one by one, each person gets killed by an unknown entity. They hunt down the killer, and bring it back to the colony for autopsy. They are surprised to note it is a dinosaur. The mop up crew are ordered to kill the dinosaurs on the island. They soon fail their mission as they each get killed by a estranged animal. The small colony must survive together in order to survive this island.

MemberCompsognathusApr-12-2013 4:23 PMwell the idea of people going to "inhabit" the island without know the dinos are there isn't too far off
as nima (JPTG) tells us she and her tribe lived on the island before ingen bought it... maybe after 20 years after the incident they go back thinking the dinos are dead from the lysine contingency but they arent???
