MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 7:50 AMAlso, for your candidate for superpredator, what are some traits of this dino you want played out or think would make it a great predator? What scenes in the movie could you envision for it, how it interacts with humans as well as other dinosaurs? -J

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 10:54 AMBaryonyx is cool.... Although I feel it is a little too similar to Spino if we're exluding him and Rex. Otherwise, cool! Baryonyx could open up some river scenes/boat scenes because it was a fish eater.

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 11:00 AMI am a huge Tyrannosaurus fan, but there are some other cool large predators out there. Allosaurus would make and interesting superpredator. I would like to see more of Ceratosaurus, but he is a little small for a superpredator. Acrocanthosaurus would make a decent carnivore. There are many options. But like I said, I am a T-rex fan. What's cooler than a giant predator running 25 miles per hour and has a bite force of 3 to 9 tons per square inch?

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 11:35 AMi have a feeling we'll see t rex again but he'll have a new rival... not spino, Baryonyx could work for a water predator that tracks the group through the island, but we need a BIGGER dinosaur meaner then ever before....
how about we list possibilities, dilophasur, gigantasaur, Baryonyx, t rex, raptors, utah raptors and a few more bigger ones (i cant name them off the top of my head)
im for the new dynasty of the dilos

how ever thats a good possibility

Giagantosaurus
MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 4:05 PMHow about a Giagntosaurus? It's bigger than t-rex and spino and it is a dinosaur you don't hear much about. You could have T-Rex and Spino in it, and you could also have a pleisosaurus for a underwater fight (2 against each other) and malcom down there to witness because Kelly (his daughter has fallen off the boat they were on

MemberCompsognathusMar-29-2013 7:48 PMIt would be different but what if there was water dinosaurs, like the Mosasaurus or the Elasmosaurus.

MemberCompsognathusMar-30-2013 4:54 AMGigo wasnt bigger than spino, possibly more robust in mass but spino was about 3m longer , expected up to 16 m long .
To me length dont mean shit its about the girth :p hahaha
Kiddin!!!!
But in dino terms i dont like ther term "bigger" being used when technically its mainly down to tail length tht determins this. At the end of the day a giraffe is longer than an elephant, what one would u say is bigger! I wouldnt be votin giraffe put it that way.
Its even believed carcharodontosaurus was a big dude too with no recognition ! Very similar to giga, relatives to a certain degree. Both dumb asses tho compared to rexy boy.
So hell still kick all their arses!!!!! :) mwahahah

MemberCompsognathusMar-30-2013 4:09 PM@x_paden_x so you think Rex won't be in Jurassic Park IV? Even if they have another superpredator antagonist, I can't imagine Trevorrow leaving him out!

MemberCompsognathusMar-30-2013 6:44 PMBTW, I know Allosaurus was smaller than a rex. I just meant he would make an interesting canidate. A pack of Albertosaurus would also be cool. I would love to see a Liopleurodon in the movie. With a possible adult size of 85 feet and 150 tons, it's even bigger than a blue whale. Of course, he would be limited to the water, but that could work out too.

MemberCompsognathusMar-30-2013 7:44 PMI would love to see:
1. Allosaurus
2. Baryonx/suchomimus
3. Giganotosaurus
4. Carchodontosaurus
5. Daspletosaurus
And btw liopleurdon wasnt bigger than the blue whale. The blue whale is so far the largest living mammal that ever lived. It can reach up to 100 ft in length.
But anyway i would love to see allosaurs in jurassic park maybe it can fight a t rex. Or maybe baryonx can fight a suchomimus in a river battle
Who knows we can only make assumptions until the poit is revealed

MemberCompsognathusMar-30-2013 8:02 PMWhile blue whales can reahc 100 feet long, they usually weigh about 85 to 115 tons. If, I do stress if, Liopleurodon reached 150 tons in weight, then he is heavier, and therefore bigger. But who knows, I could be wrong. I think Suchomimus would be a better choice than Baryonyx for one main reason, it's bigger. Baryonyx= 32 feet long and 2.5 tons, Suchomimus=36 feet long and 3 tons. Either would be cool though.

MemberCompsognathusMar-31-2013 3:05 PMAcrocanthosaurus would also make a good superpredator. At 36+ feet long and 3 to 4 tons, it's a pretty good size. A species of abelisaur would be interesting to. Not as a superpredator, but something like Tarascosaurus or Aucosaurus would be interesting. Or you could have 2 Majungatholus, the cannibal dino, fighting. There are too many options, haha

MemberCompsognathusApr-03-2013 11:09 PMI doubt liopleurodon was heavier. But the blue whale isn't the animal that ever lived. Sauropods like argentinasaurus, sauropodsiden, amphicoelias were longer.

6. Megaraptor
That's it for now

MemberCompsognathusApr-06-2013 12:59 PMA pack of Albertosaurus would be cool. A bunch of mini T-rexes running 30+ miles per hour. Mapusaurus would be cool too. I would like to see an abelisaur of some kind. Whether it be Carnotaurus, Tarascosaurus, Majungatholus, I really don't care. I just think they should get some recognition.

MemberCompsognathusApr-06-2013 9:10 PMLiopleurodon wasn't even close to the size of a blue whale. It was maby 50 feet in length at max. It's skull was only 5 feet. A Blue whale has a 19 foot skull.

MemberCompsognathusApr-06-2013 9:14 PMI know, T.rex was the most powerful of all, but apart from tyrannosaurids (T.Rex, Daspletosaurus, Tarbosaurus) the second most powerful were the Carcharodontosaurids (Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Mapusaurus, Tyrannotitan).

MemberCompsognathusApr-06-2013 10:20 PMguys were not going to see velociraptor replaced or another dromeasaurid of its size in the fourth instalment for one reason IT WOULDN'T WORK velociraptor was about knee height they switch its name around with that of another dromeasurid (cant remember its name) because velociraptor sounded more fierce.

MemberCompsognathusApr-07-2013 9:38 AMThey used the size of Deinonychus. It's skull was also more like that of Deinonychus. Like you said, Velociraptor just has a better ring to it, plus, it's a little easier to say, haha. Perhaps they should have a Therizinosaurus. Not as a superpredator of course, but those things are pretty cool. They're big, 35 feet long and 3-4 tons, and they have 10 foot arms with 3 foot claws! Maybe a Therizinosaur could face off against a big meat-eater, like Spinosaurus or T-rex, and use it's claws to defend itself. Just a thought

MemberCompsognathusApr-10-2013 12:02 AMI am looking at both lioplurodon and kronosaurus. look at the kronosaurus.
They show extreme intelligence; even problem solving intelligence. Especially the big one. We bred eight originally, but when she came in, she took over the pack and killed all but two of the others.

MemberCompsognathusApr-10-2013 8:15 PMPersonally, I prefer T-Rex to keep his main role as the big super predator out to get ya but if they are to have another one (not Spino) then I think a marine dinosaur is the way to go, either a Leopluradon or Mosasaur will do.
