The intelligence really wouldn't play much of a role. Allosaurs have cerebrums rivaling those of tyrannosaurs. Also, more advanced isn't an argument. By that logic a sperm whale could kill Livyatan.

1. I obviously disagree with your size estimates. Most reputable scientists think that the cartilage length is oversized. Yeah, the huge footprints are real and, if anything, caved in around the edges and are smaller than they would be in life. Ceratopsipes seems valid, albeit as an ichnotaxon.
2. That seems absolutely plausible. Troodon in Alaska seem to have filled a macrophagous niche, being larger than a Troodon further south.
3. That depends. If you take the porker rex that weighs 9+ t, it would be too fat and inflexible to move. However, normal Tyranno may be able to.
Also @ Deltadromeus, actually most adults are 37-38 feet, with a few breaking 39. Sue is a tiny bit over 40 feet in axial skeleton length and would be only 39 feet without a hypothetical disk enlargement. She is 42 feet by high estimates.
And just to point out something and be annoying, Zhuchengtyrannus is oversized. It was actually only Daspletosaurus sized and thus your theory is more plausible.

I don't know who or what these guys are. I'm going with Sam Neil.

First of all i said no comments ! Carry on the story for a bit of fun!
Second it was a cameo role at the beggining as a bit of a constant so the new trilogy actually would make any sense of there being one in the first place!
Thirdly new characters can be introduced

Don't want to give too much away, but did you ever think they could be both? Remember, there is a second pair that almost killed the parents.

Good fight Delta, I was rooting for Albertosaurus.

Great fight, I was rooting for Albertosaurus, but never expected a Brachyceratops would help her win. :D

OK, so: 1. The 80cm wide triceratops foot belongs to a new species, named Ceratopsipes (that's what they think), and it's possible some animals died younger, so maybe you're right.
2. Hmmm... it's possible...
3. I think this too. They could be good swimmers.

Carcharodontosaurus also has very thin teeth and its bite forces are estimated to be a couple tons

Great chapter. Man, the other pair of tyrannosaur are going to be either a good friend, or a terrible enemy
ReplyDeltadromeusJurassic World ForumCould the "scary new dinosaur" be Utahraptor?Oct 4, 2013
Utahraptor is too big to be the new scary dinosaur, and too small to be a real threat. Troodon is the perfect thing to have. Small, poisonous, and it looks wicked, just wicked
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forummy theories!Oct 4, 2013
I actually like your theories. Most of them at least. I agree with Giganotosaurus being 50 feet long, but where did you get the 48 foot T. rex? Most of our adults have been only 42 feet, I'm pretty sure that Sue is only 43. I would understand a few foot difference, but a 5-6 foot? That's a bit crazy to me. I understand the land bridge thing. It makes sense. Tarbosaurus/Z-tyrannus could have evolved from dinosaurs like Alertosaurus and Daspletosaurus. There is pretty much no evidence of tyrannosaurs from middle Cretaceous Mongolia, so I like that.
Replyx_paden_xJurassic World ForumCould the "scary new dinosaur" be Utahraptor?Oct 4, 2013
Indeed-- Utah raptor is too similar to velociraptor for it to appear, However, It might be mentioned? the more likely answer it troodon, Especially following the mention of "you'll want to keep your lights on" and in JPTG troodons only attacked in the dark...
ReplyDinoSteve93Jurassic World ForumCould the "scary new dinosaur" be Utahraptor?Oct 4, 2013
I don't think Utahraptor will appear, it's just too similar to the JP velociraptor. The most probable new entry will be the Troodon.

It's a good chapter, like the others. I'm also starting to love your story.

That's fine raptorexx, that's where my first story took place, didn't really use the cool temeratures. I had just chose it because Alberta would my number one place to visit (sorry if I sound a little boring after saying that), and I am Canadian.
ReplyArjan BosJurassic World ForumCould the "scary new dinosaur" be Utahraptor?Oct 4, 2013
I don't think Utahraptor would be any better than JP's Velociraptor, which is only a little smaller in the movie... Being bigger it's even less likely to invade buildings ;)
Troodon: I hope not. Also JP's velociraptor is still better than this guy. I did not much like the parts in the game with this dinosaur.
I think Carnotaurus was meant and the hint implicated the scene from the second book: chameleon at night time...
ReplyNo longer activeDinosaurs Forumtop 10 dinosaur bite forcesOct 4, 2013
Woah. I think I agree with your earlier entries, but your later ones get crazy. A T. Rex packing a near 12 t bite force? That's twice the power of modern estimates. I think somewhere in your middle ground of Torvosaurus is reasonable. Around 6-7 t. I think T. Rex reached 6.5 t psi at 40 feet, which is the size of a large Tyrannosaurus.

I would normally agree with the result here, but there has been a rumble recently about Ceratosaurus. It appears to have had remarkably fragile teeth for how deadly looking they were. This has given rise to a lot of theories suggesting that it was an omnivore and when it ate meat it scavenged, or piscivore.
So long story short, Ceratosaurus had frail teeth and wouldn't be able to bite very hard without shattering them.

ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs Forumtop 10 dinosaur bite forcesOct 3, 2013
I'm sorry but I don't agree with you in the slightest. Okay, first of all, Nanotyranus is only 17 feet long and has a bite of 900 lbs, no 7000. Bahariasaurus should have been replaced by at least Tyrannotitan, who I believe has a stronger bite than Giganotosaurus. Daspletosaurus should have a bite around Giga's, and above the Carch's. basically, it could use some work

Good start. Like DinoSteve said, a little more punctuation would be helpful. Seeing as to the main villain appears to be a Spinosaurus pair, I can't wait for the big battle at the end (provided there is one, I would assume so). This is a good start to what seems to be a great story.
So you choose Alberta Canada as the setting, eh?

Very interesting. I think a little more punctuation would make the story better. But still a good start of story

Hi everybody,
We have translated to our language (Spanish) this post for our blog "El Cuaderno de Godzillin" in order to do easier the comprehension to our spanish-speaking readers. In our post we have specified the original authors both of the text as the illustrations. We hope not to bother you.

Is there on this web more fights of Spanish dinosaurs?
Greetings from Spain!
