MemberCompsognathusOct-04-2013 12:44 PMWelcome to the 7th (7th?) part of DeltaFights. There is literally nothing to say, so lets move on. (I forgot to mention this, the battle is going to be in the forest. There is no other way. All the other arenas have been used, and the Yutyrannus vs Sinotyrannus will be in the mountains, so forest it is.)
Albertosaurus

Length: 25 feet
Height: 8 feet Hips, 10 Head
Weight: 2 tons
Weapons: 3 inch teeth backed by a 1800 lb bite force, speed
Prey: Ceratopcians, Hadrosaurs, Sauropods
Habitat: Forest, Grassland
Behavior: Albertosaurus is the most social Tyrannosaur observed. They will hunt in large packs up to 7 strong, and come up with complex fight plans. They can run up to 30 mph, and keep up that speed for some distance. They have a good level of binocular vision, and always look at what they are hunting. Their arms, though as long as that of a T. rex, are not used. They sometimes mix with Daspletosaurus and Gorgosaurus, being very similar.
Metriacanthosaurus

Length: 27 feet
Height: 8 Hips, 8.5 Head, 9 Muscle ridge on its back
Weight: 2.2 tons
Weapons: 2 inch hand claws, 3 inch teeth with a 900 lb bite force
Prey: Stegosaurs, Sauropods
Habitat: Forest
Behavior: Metriacanthosaurus is a solitary Allosaur. It does hunt large animals however, and has been observed killing sauropods like Diplodocus. It seems to be an evolutionary link between the Allosaurs and Carcharodontosaurs, having features of both. It is fairly thick, and has a muscle ridge running down its back supported by its extra long spines. This ridge powers one of the most powerful hatchet bite compared to its own size. Metriacanthosaurus can bring its skull down with a force of around 2.5 tons. Metriacanthosaurus can only run around 20 mph, and to say it is not agile is an understatement.
Roll of the Dice..... 1:Forest!!!!
As I said above, the location had to be chosen manually. It is a fairly dense forest. Shrubs and ferns are literally everywhere too.
Fight!!!
A Brachyceratops is eating some shrubs, unaware that it is being hunted. An Albertosaurus peeks her head above a large fern and looks at the Ceratopcians. Then, she attacks. In a burst of speed, she quickly closes the distance between her and the Brachyceratops. She leans down and grabs the small Ceratopcians in her jaws and picks it up like it weight nothing. She then shakes is around, and if that isn't enough, she throws it and the poor herbivore lands hard. The Albertosaurus walks over to where the dead Brachyceratops lies, and starts to eat. A Metriacanthosaurus is in the same forest, and using his great sense of smell, tells that something was just killed. The Metricanthosaurus instantly starts to move towards the smell, and from a walk emerges a run. The Albertosaurus is eating her kill when she senses that something is wrong. She looks up just in time to see the Metriacanthosaurus emerge from the foliage, head raised in a hatchet bite. She is fast enough to react however, and jumps over the dead Ceratopcians at the very last second. The Albertosaurus roars at the intruder, and she is more than a little angry about her meal being interrupted. The Metriacanthosaurus roars back, telling the Albertosaurus that he won't back down. The two predators start to circle. The Albertosaurus always keeps her head turned towards the Metriacanthosaurus, who has his head sideways, using his lack of depth perception and better area of vision to his advantage. Then, the Albertosaurus lunges. She stops right out of bating range and returns to circling. It was a mock attack, but it failed. She tries this a couple more times, then attacks for real this time. The Metriacanthosaurus is ready for her and swings his tail like a baseball bat. The very agile Albertosaurus simply ducks and then bites the Metriacanthosaurus's calf. The Allosaur roars and rips his legs out of the Tyrannosaur's jaws. The Albertosaurus then backs up very rapidly to avoid any damage to herself, unfortunately, it didn't work. The Metriacanthosaurus runs at the Albertosaurus and bites down on her snout. The Tyrannosaur shakes her head around and finally dislodges the Allosaur's weak bite. The Metriacanthosaurus then swings his head and hits the Albertosaurus right in the face, dazing it. To Allosaur prepares of a fight ending hatchet bite, but before he can attack, the Albertosaurus comes to and attacks. She thrusts her head at the Metriacanthosaurus's exposed neck and grabs it in her jaws. Then she shakes her head around, digging her teeth deeper and deeper into the Allosaur's neck. If it wasn't for the Metriacanthosaurus's arms slashing at the Albertosaurus and causing her to let go, he would have died then and there. The Albertosaurus knows, that the Allosaur will take a little time to recover, and she turns around to take a mid fight snack out of the Brachyceratops. The Metriacanthosaurus recovers from his near death experience and runs at the Albertosaurus, preparing a hatchet bite. The Albertosaurus looks up, surprised at how fast the Allosaur recovered, and roars in pain as 2.5 tons of force with teeth impacts the region above her shoulders. Many of her vertebra are broken, and her spinal cord is jarred, but she is still alive and on her feet. The Metriacanthosaurus raises his head for another attack, but the Albertosaurus is too fast and slams her side into the Allosaur's chest, knocking him backwards. The Albertosaurus thinks of a quick plan, and then acts. She runs at the Metriacanthosaurus, who has just recovered himself, and bites at his chest. It is a very quick and powerful bite, and soon the Albertosaurus is out of attack range. She runs to the side of the Metriacanthosaurus and then runs in too bite him there. Once again, it is a powerful bite, but it barely takes time, and once again, the Albertosaurus is out of attack range. She repeats this strategy for many attacks, and soon the Metriacanthosaurus is bleeding from several deep wounds. Despite the Allosaur's primitive brain, it figures out what the Albertosaurus is doing, and thinks of a counter strategy. The next time the Albertosaurus runs at him, he swings his body and hits the Thrannosaur at just the right moment to send her flying. When she hits the ground, many, many ribs break, and her femur cracks. Her pelvis is also damaged, and her hips is fairly jarred. Never the less, she tries to get up, and using her arms, manages to get on her belly and start to stand. The Metriacanthosaurus has other ideas. He runs for the Albertosaurus and prepares a hatchet bite. The Albertosaurus looks at him, and knows that she can't escape. The Metriacanthosaurus was looking at the Albertosaurus and nothing else, so he didn't notice the carcass of the Brachyceratops in his path. That is when he hits in, and trips over the small Ceratopcian. He lands hard, and many of his leg and arm bones are broken. The Albertosaurus sees her chance. Limping over to where the Metriacanthosaurus lies, she grabs his neck in her jaws and shakes it violently. Her teeth and overall bite force crush the Allosaur's neck, and kill the Metriacanthosaurus. She drops the neck of the dead Allosaur and gives out a triumphant roar. She then hears chirping nearby, and then she sees her chicks, followed by her mate, come to see her. She growls happily, and tries to walk. The adrenaline of the battle wears off and her leg goes limp. The Albertosaurus falls, but she is alright. Her mate walks over to her and lays down next to her, and her chick go over and cuddle with her. Right now, despite her injuries, the Albertosaurus is happy.
Winner...... Albertosaurus!!!

The Tyrannosaur was more advanced and was faster. She may not have had the deadlier bite, but her brain and speed helped her win this one, along with a dead Brachyceratops.
