Dynamosaurus Imperiosus/ Raptorexxx 700Dinosaurs Forumdino battles to the death 2 tyrannosaurus x vs torvosaurus
i wont say who i think will win because the next fight will be tyrannosaurus rex vs saurophaganax and if rex wins he will fight x :)

Like I said, short. Maybe a minute of reading for the first three, and two minutes of reading for the fourth.

I was thinking the same thing, but it would still be an interesting fight to see.

Well done. Expected outcome, but good fight. MrHappy, I think a T-rex would beat a T-X. Rex is heavier and stronger than X, so I think it'd win.

Rex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumWhat I found
Longer does not mean heavier. There are many dinosaurs(and other animals) that are more slender and lighter weight, despite being as long or longer than another animal. Just a few examples... Deltadromeus and Ceratosaurus. Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus. Anaconda and Crocodile. Giraffe and Elephant. Etc. You make an interesting point Delta, but there are some holes in it :)

All points made are valid. GigaDino, you mention that Devil Rex, Thomas, and UCMP are all just big juveniles. That'd be a valid point, if only one of them was like that. With 3 different juveniles of different ages all that big and certainly going to be bigger by age 30, it's hard to believe they were just big juveniles. If it were only Thomas or Devil Rex for example, I'd consider it. But with more than one being so large, it's harder to accept that theory. As far as C-Rex goes(F-Rex too), they are almost certainly Tyrannosaurus(Rex or X). Finally, just because Sue is the most complete and oldest specimen, does not mean she represents the max size.

Just finished writing it. 4 parts, not very long. Barely took half an hour to write, short and sweet. Hope you enjoy when I post it.

Was going to say this earlier, It would appear as though Albertosaurus was the fan favourite for this battle.

That's true Eustreptosponylus, and I do agree that 45 feet is a reasonable max for Rex. Gigadino, you do seem a little against Rex. I'd get into my opinion on my idea of a reasonable average for Spino (and why I think that), but I don't want to start another Rex Vs Spino, and it's unnecessary for this discussion.

Lord VaderDinosaurs ForumWhat I found
Interesting. This does show that Rex was indeed for heavily built. It is entirely possible that Giag was heavier (or at least equal in weight), but it would appear that Rex was pound for pound heavier

Good Fight! I kinda was rooting for Torvo in a sort of underdog way (he was smaller) but i knew he stood no chance against the Tyrannosaur as soon as i saw the title haha

I think that the max size for Rex was around 45ft. from what we know from what we have of remains that are not fragmentary. However I do see it as possible that Rex could get bigger we just haven't found "concrete" evidence of it yet.

"Sue" was 40,5 ft long. No, I'm not a T.rex hater. Yep, raptorex, your observation is good, I never said that I considered the most fragmentary specimens of the other species.

Good fight. I was rooting for the Tyrannosaur as per usual. I wonder what a Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Tyrannosaurus X fight would be like.

Sue is 42 feet long, and I'm pretty sure that they didn't get much bigger than that. I honestly don't think that they got bigger than 44 feet long, but it has been made clear that C-rex is a tyrannosaur of sorts, just maybe not Tyrannosaurus rex himself.

Good fight, raptorexxx, I was (obviously) rooting for T-rex. Maybe the fight's a little short and hard to follow though. But still a nice fight, and also: WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT T-REX PIC?

ok small question if you dought tyrannosaurus estimations so much then giganotosaurus would be 12.2 m (holotype) spinosaurus would be 14 m ( dal sasso speciemen ) and carcharodontosaurus would be 12 m ( holotype ) plus it would make sense considering the even though the most complete speciemen (sue ) is 85% complete the next most complete (stan) is 53% complete and the next is only 35% complete

Ok, first of all, go see previous threads, where is explained C-rex was not an allosauroid but a T-rex, considering his tooth. Second, Thomas and UCMP were just a little younger than Sue, and they had a half of a life ahead, plenty of time to grow much bigger. So, finally, I must say Sue is actually the biggest, but if you take in consideration age factors. A 15 years old guy can be as tall as a 20 years old, but maybe not as heavy or powerful. Same at T-rex. Sue is just the oldest tyrannosaur found so far, but that doesn't mean it's the biggest.

I'm agree with you, but Puertasaurus was likely larger than Argy.

GigadinoDinosaurs ForumOld Dinosaur Theories
Well, Spinosaurus at 5-7 tons is anorexic, too light. Spinosaurus at 5-7 t must be 12-13 m, when it was 16 m! Spinosaurus is very likely larger than Rexy at 11 t +, Giganotosaurus is longer than Rexy at 41 ft +. Ok my old theory about Rexy is that it was 14 m long. Then I learned that 14 m is just exagerrated, more like to 12,3 m.

UCMP is fragmentary, so we don't know if it was really that large. the largest confirmed Rexy is still 40.5 ft.
Reply
GigadinoDinosaurs ForumDevil Rex: Supports Higher T-rex Size Estimates
The largest confirmed Rexy is still 12,3 m...I think that a Rexy got at max 13 m or so, but "Sue", the largest specimen, is 12,3 m, so I believe in 12,3 m.

All the positions are debatable. Like I said, I left Amphicoelias out since it's so elusive.

My list would be mostly these, with Amphicoelias fragillimus at the top. Argentinosaurus would be behind Puertasaurus on mine, since, well, Puertasaurus is undeniably bigger. Alamosaurus would be my honorable mention. Your text to link here...

pretty nice list but i would put puertasaurus first because it the widest dinosaur of all time being 8 m from side to side which would put it at (my estimation) 130-132 tons
