Primal King
MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 2:38 PMSo, as the title says, its quite obvious that the Jurassic World Raptors will be used against the D. Rex. However, will the Tyrannosaur? We didn't even get a glimpse of the T. rex, however, its been basically confirmed it will be in JW.
So do you think the King of All Dinosaurs will take on the deadliest Jurassic Park threat ever seen?
I would personally enjoy seeing the Rex just terrorize people for a while, and the D. Rex and T. rex don't even know each other exist. However, when the Raptors fail to contain the Diabolus Rex, they manage to move the Tyrannosaurus to the D. Rex's location and it ends up being an anti-hero, killing it.
Thoughts? Questions? Will the Tyrannosaurus Rex, King of all Dinosaurs, take on the supposed "upgraded version" pf itself? Would you want to see the King show that he still has his throne?

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 2:44 PMWe actually have yet to see footage of the JW Rex...
Which is weird, Because that's the usual Symbol of JP...

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 2:52 PMI doubt the Rex would have been Trained like the raptors to fight D-rex.
The Rex might take on some Visitors and such, Maybe a little battle with D-rex...
It's hard to tell at the moment.
I'd like to see a fight scene between the two, As the film kinda lacks in those...

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 3:00 PMI don't think it'll be trained, I think they will maneuver the two into close proximity in hopes of the Rex killing the D. Rex. And we won't know if it lacks in fight scenes until the movie premiers.

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 3:44 PMI agree with PADEN !
I dont think the t rex is trained. Possibly under experiment ! But not trained.
it would be good to see the rex being the hero again. Finishing off what the raptors couldnt do. A little bit of me tho cant wait to see the pack leaping up and clawing and biting at the D rex ! To see an actual hunt! See them running and jumping and being "well animals" !
Im glad we havmt seen rex, we know he is there. i think the spino skeleton is outside trex land or what ever its called , so thats is asking to be smashed down. Expext some cheese!
But in all this film will take jp to a diff level. The bar is now ridicylulously high.

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 3:46 PMI am expecting a quality film, not cheese. And I think that's what we'll get. But I agree on both the rex and raptor parts. It will be amazing to see them take on the D. Rex and T. rex finishing the job.

MemberAllosaurusNov-25-2014 4:51 PMI think the T-Rex will fight the D-Rex early one in the movie. The D-Rex would win a quick battle, basically to show D-Rex being more powerful. The raptors would sort of injure the D-Rex but I think they will be killed. But that's just what I think will happen.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-25-2014 5:04 PMYes 401, kill the T-Rex quickly near the beginning of the movie. Because, you know, that worked soooooo well, so well, the first time.
Sarcasm aside, I think Rex will take on the D-Rex. At the end most likely, with the King emerging victorious, because you can't beat an original and because Rex needs redemption after the atrocity that was JP3.

MemberAllosaurusNov-25-2014 5:25 PMWell, pretty sure that's what they gonna have. Why would you get pissed if a raptor/t-rex hyrbrid killed T-rex? Why would you be dissapointed or get upset? That's the real question in my opinion.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-25-2014 5:47 PMQuite simple actually. The T-Rex is the icon of the series. Jurassic Park without T-Rex is like Jaws without a Great White; it's stupid, pointless, and a waste of time. In the first two movies, Rex was an animal. It was acting on instinct, and it was reacting to new situations. It stumbled upon the people, saw them as a food source, and attacked accordingly. JP3, Spino was hunting the people. It targeted them because, well, who knows.

MemberAllosaurusNov-25-2014 5:56 PMAnd the T-Rex is really got old after The Lost World, most fans felt this, to be honest. The raptors were more iconic in reality, these days a lot of people associate JP with Velociraptors. JP3 just had another killer dino in it.
Anyways, I actually want to see D-Rex kill T-Rex, I honestly think it would be really cool.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-25-2014 6:01 PMAnd the Raptors don't get old? C'mon man. JP3 sucked like a black hole. I myself would rather not D-Rex kill Rex, because there are several other things that prove the D-Rex is a force to be reckoned with. It's genetically modified for starters. In JP3, Spino taking down that airplane was plenty to prove it was not to be messed with. Killing the damn Rex was overkill.

MemberAllosaurusNov-25-2014 6:07 PMNot really, if not, not yet. Raptors were given about 10-15 minute total screentime in Jurassic Park, hardly anything in the second, and the 3rd just depicted them as monsters rather than dinosaurs. Or just a magnificient creature, like it probably was.
Rex got old. As Gavin once said, I myself seem to find it rather a boring animal. It was in reality a very big predator, the only real unique aspect about it was the insanely strong bite force.
D-Rex is genetically modified, doesn't mean it could defeat Rex. Doesn't mean D-Rex is invincible, either, don't get me wrong.
Don't see how that was overkill, and as part of forum rules don't bring that up.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-25-2014 6:13 PMWhere in the forums rules does it say we can't say anything at all about the JP3 Rex vs Spino? If you could, please post a link to where it says that.
Just because you think it's boring doesn't mean there aren't people who don't think it's boring. I love seeing damn near anything with Rex screen time myself.

MemberAllosaurusNov-25-2014 6:16 PMIt is... Do I really need to link you? The staff announced so many times that that topic is banned unto further notice.
Never said other people didn't find it boring. Inreality, I think Rex is overrated- Sorry, but I don't see what is so special. Other dinosaurs had much cooler features and they get CRAP when it comes to attention.
Sure it can be cool to see, but I'd just find it kind of annoying if it were to get uncecessarily amount of screen time. In JW I want to see more new things, I don't want the movie to fully give in soley to nostalgie, I want to see things different.

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2014 6:23 PMImo, Yes
and the trex will be killed again
or one of them, since I think there'll be more than 1 trex
Idk, I gotta feeling that there'll be 3 trex in jurassic world
2 in JW exhibit and 1 (Rexy) in the restricted area
then rexy will team up with the JW trex to defeat (or kill) the Drex in an epic battle

MemberTyrannosaurus RexNov-25-2014 6:23 PMYes, a link would be appreciated.
Whoop-te-do.
Well, Looking at that trailer, there's more new stuff in JW than you can shake a stick at. It takes a hell of a lot more than one thing from the original for the movie to be run off nostalgia. It has Nublar, it has Rex, it has Brachiosaurus and Gallimimus, it has............ damn, what else does it have that could possibly run the movie off nostalgia?

Just saying the staff looks down upon it, so why do it?
I don't know, this may sound crazy, but what about parts of the movie that weren't in the trailer??? Kind of a weird argument there. It does have a lot of new stuff, but I don't want Rex to become the main aspect of the whole movie, which most people want to see.

Rex vs Spino always lead to most fighting. Never have I really got into the fighting. Even then, the staff and pretty much everyone else gets annoyed when it gets brought up. Happy, why are you trying to bring Rex vs Spino up again?
