Will the T. Rex take on Diabolus in JW?!

I think so, I mean the shot of the JW gates opening was a key factor, in my opinion.

I would love to see the (or one of) the T-rex(es) face off against D-rex.  That is the only carnivore that could (possibly) match D-rex in terms of strength.  

I don't know what the outcome will be, so we'll leave that up to the movie when it comes out in June, but the battle cries of both will be off the charts.

Imgaine this:  that iconic T-rex bellow, deep, powerful, and full of fear and adrenaline, vs whatever D-rex will sound like to match (I'm gonna guess a higher-pitched roar, almost a scream).

Well, that escalated quickly. This wasn't exacty about Spino, so let's just drop anything having to do with him.

@ Raptor 401, That's kinda insensitive. It is no way a boring animal, no dinosaur is. Popular, yes. Boring no. It is unique and classic all at once. Please don't say offensive thngs like that. However, I think yoour idea would be anti-climatic and sort of leave the T. rex in the blue again. Still an interesting idea!

Freaking brilliant! Love the scene you set up! Very detailed and most likely accurate to what we will see in the film. You're right about the Rex probably being the only dinosaur able to match the D. Rex's strength. I want to see the Rex kick the D-Rex's (supposed upgraded, better form of the Tyrannosaur itself) ass. THAT would be awesome.

I wasn't trying to be insensitive when I said that. I did say I personally found it a boring animal. Sure, it's unique, but I just find it... boring. Don't know if it's just that I find it plain or maybe the fact that for years it's been everywhere in social media that it got to the point where it got uninteresting. And other dinosaurs, I believe are just cooler than T-Rex. Anklyosaurs and Microraptors for example.

Sorry if I offended anyone, I really wasn't trying to. I just don't have any interest for T-Rex anymore, well as much as I used to.

In hjaw s the great white dies so ehy wouldn't rex die. And I feel that rex is really starting to bore me.

What I was trying to get at, Tyrant. Honestly I find so many other dinosaurs that I think were cooler than T-Rex. 

Just talked to my sister who is too a huge Jurassic Park Fan and loves dinosaurs as well and she even thinks T-Rex is rather a boring animal. Sorry but in my opinion it's just a giant predator with no interesting abilities it seems so far. Now if science discovered that T-Rex could, for example, jump 10 feet in the air, then will I grow more interest in it.

What I'm trying to say is this: there are dozens of dinosaurs that are more interesting and cooler than T-Rex.

Hmmmm... S-Rex is really needed here at the time it seems, but i suppose i can fill in lol. To me, if the two get in a fight, i think it'll be cool either way it goes. But, the way i would think it would go, the D-Rex would win, why? Common sense, it was engineered to be better than T-Rex in every way. It has camoflauge ability and has the smarts of a raptor, this is irrelevent, but the roar is freakin spine chilling, definately going down into my top 3 favorite roars!

Another thing to add, T-Rex has been the star of literally almost every...dinosaur... movie... ever made, and i personally think its time for something new. So, with that being said, JP3 was a good start towards going for something new (i thought it was a very decent movie) and JW is going to possibly maybe render that even further.

I'd hope to see the Rex take on the D. Rex, lose, and come back and help the raptors later, and kill the D. Rex.

That actually will be interesting, but if the D-Rex is poisonous and had already bitten the T-Rex in any way, there probably wont be a "later on".

But we are finding out new and interesting things about Rex AND other dinos every day. I understand, him not being your favorite, but if you want to be a paleontologist (And I think you said you did), you must appreciate evry dinosaur for what they are, amazing. Take it from a guy who works in a museum and a zoo to know ALOT about appreciating every animal/dinosaur. We know alot about lions, that does not make them boring. You have the wrong mindset about Tyrannosaurus and it can percieved as offensive to some. Also, that type of thinking will definitely NOT further your career as a paleontologist. Just a couple ideas for you to think about.

@FACT DUDE, I agree! Either way the fight goes down, it would be awesome! And I think that's exactly why they would cause the Rex to win. He can't be beat eve by an upgraded form!

Well, since Colin teased "Rex Redemption," I'd assume T.rex defeats D-Rex.

Oh, and I'd call having the strongest bite force of any land animal is quite something.

If D-rex is an upgraded T.rex version, D-rex's bite force would be even higher. Even though D-rex is awful,it's definitely too strong to be killed by something like T.rex.

It most likely doesn't. I'd say that the raptor DNA would give it a slashing bite, rather than a crushing one.

Slascing bite is deadly at either. I don't think that T.rex is a good match for D-rex, no know Theropod would be strong enough to take D-rex over.

the trex hate is alive and well i see..first off this socalled drex is a frankenmonster beast for her to keep going on the series would just destroy the whole jp series she needs to die and after that so called dinosaur flick in 2001 by joe johnston we dnt need another atrocity..LOOK AT THE LOGO wether you like it or not TREX is JP and some other dinos...if you dnt like rex well then you must hate a heck of alot of the JP universe

I wouldn't underestimate the theropods. Especially the King. Yes, the D-Rex is supposed to be bigger and badder, but that's exactly why T-Rex has a chance. If it catches the D-Rex by surprise and wounds it, there goes it's ability to camoflauge. Mother Nature will set things right with its own creation. The T. Rex is the King of JP, so taking on the new monster is what it will be most likely do. It will show people that we don't need "hybrids" when we have the most amazing animals ever in that park. THAT is why the Tyrannosaur can set things straight.

I think the best solution for this is to simply not have Rexy fight at all. If they do and she loses then it will be JP3 arguements all over again. If she were to win then you'll have people complaining about that. The best thing I could think of is that they have recaptured original Rex from the first film so that she is around 30 years old (Sue was estimated to be 28 when she died) and maybe say that she is towards the end of her lifespan. So just kind of have her there for a little nostalgia, but she never comes in contact with Drex and maybe even dies of old age during the movie. Which they may have been anticipating, thus creation of Drex. Although being a Rex fan and would love to see her throw down, I would think this would be the best way to make the most fans happy. Just my thoughts.

Well I wasn't at all tyring to be rude. Sorry but I have an opinion- I think it's just simple, boring. I'm sorry but I don't find anything really interesting. I damn well respect the animal, as with all creatures, extinct or not. I don't hate the JP Universe, I know the logo is a T-Rex, I mean a company would use the most famous dinosaur on their logo. In reality, the velociraptors are the most iconic of the series.

My opinion is no where near hating Rex- It's just an uninterest, if that's even a word. Sorry if my opinion offends you but there's nothing you can really do about it, to be honest.

My point is that you should at least try to reignite interest. It doesn't have to be your favorite beast, but it is amazing and iconic in its own right. Just because we know a bit about it, does not make it "uninteresting." To be honest, my favorite a year ago was Giganotosaurus. I too thought that the Tyrannosaur wasn't interesting any more. But then I started working at the museum and my boss told me all these studies based around Tyrannosaurus. It probably had the strongest bite force, EVER. Its intelligence may have been comparable to a wolf's based on its brain shape compared to a parrot's. It may have ran anywhere from 15-30 mph. Its sense of smell was the 2nd best of all dinosaurs and in the top 10 of all time. Its eyesight was better than a hawk or eagle. Even it's "little" arms were INCREDIBLY powerful. And, it is competing with Spinosaurus for biggest theropod and land-predator. Uninteresting?

I have tried to, but still I find it uninteresting COMPARED to other dinosaurs. is what I mean. Sounds interesting but doesn't really increase my interest for that particular dinosaur. I know it was very dangerous, I know it had the strongest bite force and whatnot, excellent vision, but still can't seem to find interest with it.

I don't think it would be bigger than Spinosaurs at average sizes, but I could most certainly be wrong.

Of course. It certainly doesn't have to be that interesting to you. I can't make you like it. I'm just defending it. People at work always say that ts boring or over-used, so they don't like it and I'm sick of it. You are not doing that, its just a touchy topic.  I don't think you should think it's the most interesting animal in the world or anything, but I just want you to understand that it is as interesing from a fact-wise perspective as any other dinosaur. Thinking that another is more interesting is an opinion. Knowing and respecting and still enjoying the animal for all of its interesting qualities is the greatest thing I want from people. THAT type of mindset is what makes a good paleontologist or zoologist, or anything else dealing with the wonderful thing that is Nature, living or extinct. ;)

I do think the T-Rex and the D-Rex will fight in JW. Here's how I think it will happen:

I think that soon after the D-Rex escapes she encounter the T-Rex and they will fight. The D-Rex will win, supposeably killing the T-Rex. 

Later the D-Eex will try to eat Gray. Just as he is about to eat Gray, BAM, the T-Rex smashes into the D-Rex, saving Gray. A battle then ensues leaving the T-Rex as the winner, ending the battle with her signature roar, like at the end of Jurassic Park.
