MemberCompsognathusFeb-09-2014 1:10 AMTwo theropods with seriously hard to pronounce names are about to throw down. Place your bets!
Ekrixinatosaurus
The "Explosion born lizard"
Length: 11 meters
weight: 5 tons
Height: 3 meters
Era: Early Cretaceous
Ekrixinatosaurus has the name meaning of "explosion born lizard", and this doesn't just pertain to how its fossils were discovered. This gigantic theropod may seem like a slouch, but when its time to eat, its quite the nightmare. These Abelisaurs attack with such a ferocity and force, they have been observed knocking a fully grown diplodocus to the ground. Unlike other Abelisaurs, Ekrixinatosaurus has a monstrous bite, being able to crush bone with two tons of force. Ekrixinatosaurus also has useable arms, but they aren't overall as useful as say, Torvosaurus' arms. Ekrixinatosaurus has a jet black back, with a leaf green underbelly and throat.
Chilantaisaurus
The "Ch'i-lan-t'ai lizard"
Length: 12 meters
Height: 3.5 meters
Weight: 5.5 tons
Era: Late Cretaceous
Chilantaisaurus prowls the open prairies of Isla Nublar constantly on the search for food. They constantly kill anything they see as a viable prey item, and because of this, many herbivores have gone extinct on Nublar. Chilantaisaurus seems to prefer the stegosaurs, mainly kentrosaurus. These massive theropods kill with speed and stealth unrivaled on the entire island. When mating season comes around, the Chilantaisaurus seems to calm down. They will go months without eating, defending the nest site. It is thought they constantly attack and kill herbivores in preparation for this. This neovenatorid is a dusty brown color with dark blue saddles on the back.
Begin..
A male Ekrixinatosaurus prowls the darkened jungles of Isla Nublar. A dark cloud of flies surrounds the beast, occasionally landing on his snout trying to get the rotting meat off his long teeth. He shudders violently, and it helps, but only for a few moments. The bull Exrixinatosaurus hears a fierce howling, and thinks its a rival animal. He stops dead in his tracks and listens intently for a moment. He realizes it's the familiar sound of a wind storm, and curious if it brought rain with it, looked for an gap in the trees. He could feel the cold chill rushing against his skin, he welcomed it. He made his way through the trees and out onto a charred plain. He took in the devastated scene. a Few animals made their way across the plain, up into the hulking mountains in the north.
The wind brought the stench of death to his nostrils. Charred bodies lay everywhere, but he catches movement. The Abelisaur notices a stegosaur walking with a limp towards a stand of charred trees, and his stomach growled. It was a small one, and it appeared to be injured. He hadn't eaten in days. The wind had driven away the flies, and now he was free to do what he pleased. He watched the Stegosaur for a moment, flexing his hand claws in exhilaration. He was about to make his move when a behemoth shadow rushed towards the Stegosaur. The unknown assailant rammed into the stegosaur, flipping it over. There was no sound.
Rooted to the spot in disbelief, the Ekrixinatosaurus soon found himself walking directly to the scene, lured by the smell of spilled blood. The biting cold of the Island night was nothing but a small inconvenience as he made his way confidently over to the kill. The moon was full, and the moonlight revealed the presence of a Male Chilantaisaurus. The Neovenatorid had seen the abelisaur coming, long in advance. He had not eaten in a month, he growled in anticipation for a fight. he wasn't going to let this weird looking animal steal his dinner.
The Chilantaisaurus rose his body to his full height, trying to scare the Ekrixinatosaurus off. The Abelisaur roared and lunged for the carcass. Before he could pull it away, the Chilantaisaurus grabbed the dead stegosaur by the head. A gruesome tug of war insued. The Abelisaur tugged back, and having more meat to grab, snatched the stegosaur out of the Chilantaisaurus' jaws. Te Neovenatorid felt a release, but found he was only holding the head. He threw it away in fury. The Chilantaisaurus roared, but got no response. The bull Ekrixinatosaurus was walking away at a fast pace.
A sudden gust of wind sent chills down the Neovenatorids entire body, this sent him into a frenzy. Seeing nothing but red, he charged stealthily at the Abelisaur. The Ekrixinatosaurus suddenly felt an immense weight on his back, he crashed to the ground, the carcass falling a few yards away. The nimble Neovenatorid had jumped on him, and was now tearing away at the vunerable neck. Luck was on the Ekrixinatosaurus' side, the Chilantaisaurus' talons weren't sharp enough to score a decisive blow, only leaving superficial wounds on the tough hide. The Abelisaur struggled to get up, but he couldn't. He felt as horriying pain as the Neovenatorids teeth sank into his neck. Desperate, he did the only thing he could think of: roll over.
He rolled onto his side, attempting to crush the predator. A sickening crack filled the night sky, followed by the high pitched scream of the Chilantaisaurus. The Abelisaur sprang to his feet, and saw the Chilantaisaurus' right arm hung limp. He had crushed it. With a new found confidence, the Abelisaur charged. He rammed into the Neovenatorid, and sent him plummeting to the ground. He lunged forward, intent on killing the Chilantaisaurus.
The monstrous Neovenatorid had gotten to his feet, but wasn't quick enough to avoid the Ekrixinatosaurus' jaws. The Abelisaur bit down on his back, teeth grazing the vertabrate. The Abelisaur shook him like a rag doll, throwing him several yards. The Neovenatorid was quite agile, and was back on his feet before the Ekrixinatosaurus could make a move. He roared at the Abelisaur and slammed his tail on the ground, challenging him. The Ekrixinatosaurus snorted like an enraged bull, and the two charged each other head on.
The Neovenatorid had formulated a simple plan.when the Abelisaur came close he would make a simple side step. The massive form of the Ekrixinatosaurus was approaching fast, and he put his plan in motion. He faced the Abelisaurs' side as it ran by, and jumped onto him. With the extra 5 tons of weight, the Ekrixinatosaurus fell to the ground. hard. He kicked and struggled, but the Chilantaisaurus had him pinned. Eagerly, he began to eat the Abelisaur. The terrified roars of the Abelisaur echoed in the night.
As the Chilantaisaurus repositioned to get at the choice cuts, the Abelisaur heaved himself to his feet. The unexpected move knocked the Chilantaisaurus to the side, and the Abelisaur seized his chance. He turned and bit down on the Neovenatorids neck. It Squealed in suprise, and tugged back. The Abelisaur held fast, and the two swung around, locked in a stalemate. The Neovenatorid scratched at his attackers face, but with a bull dog tenacity, the Abelisaur held firm.
As they once again swung around in the life or death dance, the Chilantaisaurus stepped on a rotten section of tree, rolling his ankle at an awkward angle. His body fell to the ground, but the Abelisaur didn't let go. Knowing it was now or never, the Abelisaur tightened his grip and bit down with two tons of force. The Neovenatorids body went limp, and the Abelisaur wasted no time in tearing his adversary open.
and the winner is...Ekrixinatosaurus!
The outcome was decided by environmental factors and circumstances, Probably one of the closest fights i've written!
This is what happens when i'm on late at night, Leave suggestions in the comments!

MemberCompsognathusFeb-09-2014 5:01 AMThe fight was really good, but wasn't Chilantaisaurus about 30 feet in length and 3 tons in weight

MemberCompsognathusFeb-09-2014 11:57 AMGood fight. I was rooting for Ekrixinatosaurus. I usually estimate Chilantaisaurus at 10 meters long and 3-3.5 tons personally.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-09-2014 5:59 PMi was rooting for Ekrixinatosaurus! Im looking forward towards all of your fights! By the way Chilantaisaurus was being a d-bag so I was happy he died, especially when he started eating Ekrixinatosaurus alive.
