After announcing the next Jurassic World film would be arriving next summer, talks of David Leitch directing the flick began to circulate. Today it's being reported that Leitch and Universal have decided to part ways on negotiations for the director role. According to JoBlo, Universal and Leitch parted ways amicably due to creative differences for where the franchise should go next. The studio shows no signs of moving their July 2nd, 2025 release date however, so the pressure is on to find a director!
Jurassic World 4 / Jurassic Park 7 - the currently untitled next installment is a reboot of the Jurassic franchise, involving none of the original or previous cast and characters from either Jurassic Park or Jurassic World trilogies. The film has tapped screenwriter of Jurassic Park and The Lost World, David Koepp to pen the film's script and filming is expected to commence this summer.
