The official run-time and rating for Universal Pictures' Jurassic World has been revealed! According to numerous sources, as well as theatre owners across North America, Jurassic World will run for an approximate 117 minutes, that's just shy of 2 hours. In light of this news, some fans of the franchise have taken issue with this fact, complaining that the film will be too short. But, by comparison, Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park had a run-time of 2 hours and 7 minutes (127 minutes), The Lost World: Jurassic Park had a run-time of 2 hours and 9 minutes 129 minutes) and Jurassic Park 3 had a run-time of 1 hour and 34 minutes (94 minutes).
Jurassic World may be shorter than the original Jurassic Park and The Lost World, but only by a few minutes. Not to mention, it's likely a Director's Cut of the film will be available down the road when Home Entertainment releases begin to roll out.
Jurassic World will be rated PG-13, with a run-time of 117 minutes and will release June 12th, 2015 in both 3D and 2D formats. Thanks to RTH for the image confirmation!
