It's official! Universal Pictures will be resuming film production on Jurassic World 3 / Jurassic World Dominion next month at Pinewood Studios in the UK! With a very strict protocol for testing and treating potential Covid-19 cases on-site, production teams are currently working tirelessly to get filming back in motion.
A production executive confirmed the following to Deadline Hollywood:
The plan is for us to be shooting early-mid July. Anyone with symptoms will be isolated immediately before being sent home, we want to make sure that we are going above and beyond the national protocols to create a safe environment. Cost isn’t our main concern now: it’s safety. We will take direction from our medical team, but we’re confident that with the staggered scheduling and zones of talent and crew, along with a system of contact tracing, we can move forward with limited delay in production.
A series of preparations will begin being set up next week which include measures for tracking, testing and treating any workers and actors affected by the Covid-19 Coronavirus. The plan is to have camera rolling by July 6th.
Whether or not this delay in filming will cause the release date for Jurassic World Dominion to shift has yet to be determined.
