Hold on to your Butts! The epic conclusion to the Jurassic era has officially released in theaters today!

Today, experience the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era as two generations unite for the first time. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Jurassic World Dominion, a bold, timely and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe. From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures. Jurassic World Dominion, from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, propels the more than $5 billion franchise into daring, uncharted territory, featuring never-seen dinosaurs, breakneck action and astonishing new visual effects.

Sad that it's getting really negative reviews from critics. I just got back from watching it, and while it has it's problems and is one of the weaker entries in the series, it isn't as terrible as the critics are claiming.

So far my only complaint is they should have added the prologue into the beginning of the movie. To build up why Rexy and the Giganotosaurus fight was important

In some ways I'm kind of glad that the Prologue isn't a part of the movie and is instead its own thing. The Prologue was a pretty well made short film and while it would've helped to set up the Rex and Giga rivalry, I feel like the negative response that people are having to the movie would've held that scene back and would've caused it to be overlooked. At least it can now be appreciated on it's own.

I really liked Dominion, I think critics wanted a kill-them-all dinosaur apocalypse movie. The giant locus made more sense as being a threat to mankind and ties in with biosyn being a InGEN's evil twin

I'm personally really mixed on the movie. Overall I enjoyed it and I definitely don't think it deserves the insane hatred that it's been getting, but as a finale to the movies it kind of felt a bit underwhelming. For me, it's tied with Fallen Kingdom as the weakest (Although that's kind of a testament to how much I enjoy the other movies).

well if the movie does well they said it might not be the finale

In the box office I mean. I don't get why the critics hate it. I mean the story is no longer about the islands anymore, that was the entire point of the Jurassic World trilogy.

To get the dinosaurs off the island and bring them to the mainland. I am curious how they will continue off this point should the franchise receives more movies or even a TV series.

As far movies go, I think they should take a break for awhile (given that Dominion was advertised as the conclusion, and given the more negative reactions to it), however, I don't think they should just stop the series entirely. I think they should focus on making more short films, like they did with Battle At Big Rock, or maybe even another TV series, since those have done really well critically.

Curious on what direction they would take a live-action TV series, since I am not a fan of Camp Cretaceous and don't consider it Canon.

I personally would love to see an animated prequel series to Jurassic Park, one that expands on certain events in the timeline, like showing the construction of the park, Hammond's partnership with Lockwood, Nedry being hired by both InGen and BioSyn, the labs on Isla Sorna, the Big One taking over the raptor pack and what eventually led to the raptors having to held in the holding pens instead of their actual paddock. It would be pretty cool to see the return of older characters like Hammond and Muldoon, even if the actors who originally played them are sadly no longer alive.

If they are going to make it animated, please hire a Japanese studio to make the animation and give it a storyline that doesn't shy away from mature content. In other words please don't make it like Camp Cretaceous. I want a Jurassic Park animated series with a cast of competent adult characters.

Yes the origin of Hammond and Lockwood's partnership, the hiring of Dr. Henry Wu, InGen Biosyn rivalry, the rise of the Big One, the birth of Rexy, the creation of Jurassic Park and Site B!

I personally wouldn't mind computer animation, but if they did one with more traditional style, I think Powerhouse Animation (the studio that made the Castlevania animated series and the upcoming Skull Island series) would be an interesting choice.

Well if it has to be computer animated, the I would choose Rooster Teeth. I liked how they handled the RWBY series.

As for traditional animation, I would like Studio Pierrot or Sunrise to animate it

Welp... It wasn't Fallen Kingdom bad, but it was still pretty stupid. The original cast deserve better.
