The filming for Jurassic World: Dominion has encountered a setback due to Covid-19. Due to a surge in positive cases on Malta, the filming on the island will now be significantly scaled-back.

Jurassic World: Dominion recently became the first major production to resume filming after Covid-19 originally shutdown Hollywood ealier this year. Now, the film will again have to endure another obstacle because of the virus.

While production for the film will still take place in Malta starting later this month, the first unit will no longer be present. This means that stars of the franchise such as Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Sam Neill will no longer film any scenes at the location.

Hopefully, no other such filming setbacks will take place and the film's production will continue to go on as originally planned.

Now that Jurassic World Rebirth has been released, check out interesting concept artwork from the film! You can also find behind-the-scenes production photos in our image gallery, here!

Jurassic World Rebirth did extremely well during its theatrical run, earning Universal Pictures over $860 million at the global box office! The film reportedly cost $180 million.
