News on Jurassic World 2 is beginning to heat up as filming reaches its halfway mark. Various set photos and cast interviews have begun to crop up online, as well as footage from various set shoots. This post will help to summarize and roundup all of these most recent updates.
First thing's first, we have an exciting quote from Jurassic World 2 lead actor Chris Pratt, who explained that the Jurassic World sequel will in fact be a lot scarier than the first film. During a recent interview with ScreenRant, Pratt said:
Aw man, J.A. Bayona? Do you know that filmmaker? He’s a remarkable filmmaker. If you haven’t seen The Impossible or A Monster Calls, I mean he’s really visually masterful. Deep emotions and suspense. I think it’s going to be a scarier version. A little bit darker and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn’t have imagined.
Next up, a couple of vehicles from Jurassic World 2 were photographed on-set recently. Thanks to our friends at Jurassic Outpost, we have a few of them to share below:
Thanks to @Sickkgirl_ on Twitter as well, we can also see there will be some epic night time, rain scenes in Jurassic World 2 as well with the following set photo:
A video of the sequence this photo came from was also uploaded to YouTube and shows what looks to be a rescue mission attempt. The people present in this shot are wearing what looks to be military attire.
The night time, stormy setting, with lots of rain makes us think of that iconic T-Rex attack scene in the original Jurassic Park, along with the Rex attack scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and again in Jurassic Park 3 with the Spinosaurus attack. If there's one thing the Jurassic franchise has taught us it's that if there's rain, at night, with plenty of lightening, there is going to be some Dinosaur carnage to follow.
Finally, a recent photo shared by producer Frank Marshall on Twitter has caused quite a stir among JP fans. As pointed out by Jurassic Outpost, it looks like one an see a reflection of a T-Rex animatronic in the reflection of the glass! Check it out:
Could that be a T-Rex animatronic or a completely different Dinosaur? Either way, it's exciting to get more substance with these teasers. As always, as new Jurassic World 2 updates continue to surface, we'll keep you posted!
