Jurassic World 2 begins filming next month and very little news has made its way online considering that fact. However, Universal are seemingly quite busy behind-the-scenes planning the sequel's next viral marketing campaign. Two new domain name registrations suggest Jurassic World 2 could in fact focus heavily on a rescue mission to Isla Nublar, but instead of rescuing a Human trapped on the island like in The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3, the purpose of this mission will be to relocate the Dinosaurs to a safer area. Of course, this is pure speculation for the time being.
Regardless, the two domains were noticed by our friends over on Jurassic Outpost. The two domains Universal registered last month are IslaNublarRescueMission.com and AllCreaturesHaveRights.com.
The first domain is self explanatory, while the second definitely correlates with statements made by Colin Trevorrow regarding the direction he, Spielberg and Bayona are taking with the Jurassic World sequel - that the story will reflect modern-day challenges facing mankind's management of the natural world.
The folks at Outpost speculate that the sequel will involve Claire and Owen leading a rescue mission for the Dinosaurs left on Isla Nublar (which now roam free), in an attempt to stop a government sanctioned eradication of the island's inhabitants. Of course this would fall right inline with the speak of Jurassic World 2 touching on more ethically challenging concepts, building off of the underlying themes present in previous Jurassic instalments.
Whether or not the plot synopsis speculation is on the money or not, the fact remains that Universal have registered these domains on purpose and likely plan to use them to market the Jurassic World sequel.
Big thanks to Jurassic Outpost for the find and detailed speculation!
