Jurassic World had a wide range of supporting characters, some of which had more screen time then others. One of these characters was Karen Mitchell (Judy Greer), who portrayed the mother of Zach and Gray, as well as Claire Dearing's sister. While she did not receive much screen time, her character was instantly memorable as she appeared in the first trailers for the Jurassic World.
Judy Greer was recently interviewed by Cinemablend about the chances of her character returning for the sequel. Jurassic World 2 has been filming for two weeks, and as of now, there have been no announcements about her character's return, or her children. Greer seemed to confirm that her character would not be in the film when asked if she had gotten the call to star in the anticipated sequel.
"Not as far as I know yet"
At this stage in production, it would seem unlikely that Judy Greer would be cast in the film. However as the production still has a few months before it wraps, anything is possible. It seems difficult to imagine how her character could be included without mention of her children as well.
Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will be returning as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively. The cast of the film currently includes Ted Levine, BD Wong, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, James Cromwell, Justice Smith and Geraldine Chaplin.
