Jeff Goldblum is set to reprise his role as the witty and charismatic scientist Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming Jurassic World sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. However, during a recent interview with Empire, Goldblum (who has been doing press rounds promoting Thor: Ragnarok) revealed that his role in Fallen Kingdom will be a fairly small one:

It’s small… who knows, they may cut me out entirely! But if I stay in I’ll be a sprig of parsley or a little garnish, hopefully with some impact!

This news comes as a bit of a disappointment to many of us who were hoping Goldblum's return would be more than just a "garnish" role. Ian Malcolm was such a pivotal character in the first two Jurassic Park films, it would be extremely unfortunate to waste the character on a small cameo role. What do you think?
