Jurassic World managed to attain the title of third most successful film of all time following its release this summer, gaining critical acclaim and acceptance by most dedicated fans of the franchise. However despite the film's praises, there seems to be one common aspect of the film many of us wish we saw more of - the park itself. Yes, director Colin Trevorrow did a good job of introducing a fully functioning Jurassic Park, finally, after so many years the late John Hammond's vision finally came true. But, unfortunately what we saw on film was only a very small portion of what was originally conceptualized during the film's pre-production stages.
Discovering early storyboards by artist David Lowery (thanks to @ChrisLikesDinos on Twitter) shows us many early designs for Jurassic World attractions and action sequences which never made the final cut. From 'Tree Top Grazers' to Monorail attacks, there's a slew of storyboards to check out:
Obviously not every concept can make its way to the big screen when budget constraints and time limits are put into effect, but some of these storyboards would have been phenomenal to witness in the theater. What do you think of these storyboards? Would you have prefered some of the scenes above to any that made it into the film? Jurassic World Rebirth did extremely well during its theatrical run, earning Universal Pictures over $847 million at the global box office! The film reportedly cost $180 million.
