As Jurassic World 2 enters its final months before the start of production, Colin Trevorrow has taken to twitter to tease a hint at the next film. The tweet can be seen embedded below, as he humorously reveals Claire's new footwear for the Jurassic World sequel.
Although Jurassic World was received well, Claire's heels became a focus of criticism in the months after. Many critics declared the heels to be sexist and unrealistic as Claire wore them in her action scenes. Since then, both Bryce Dallas Howard and Colin Trevorrow have adamantly been clear that the heels would not be returning for the sequel. Trevorrow's recent tweet shows he has kept his promise.
Now dissecting the picture, it is apparent that 'SC 26 to 142' refers to scenes, and that Claire will play a large role in the sequel. That is not surprising considering that Claire's character will be one of the few making a return from Jurassic World.
The boots showcased in the tweet also seem to be very practical for action scenes. There are at least eight-nine different pairs of shoes seen, so this could be the shoes that production has managed to narrow it down for inclusion in the final film. Any of these choices would be very suitable for running from dinosaurs, or for jungle scenes.
Jurassic World 2 will be released on June 22, 2018. Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will return to play Claire Dearing and Owen Grady in the film. Toby Jones and Rafe Spall will star in unspecified roles as well. The movie will be directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, who has directed 'The Impossible.
