Thought the Jurassic Park trio Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum were only back for a few short cameos in Jurassic World Dominion? Think again! Director Colin Trevorrow has confirmed the iconic cast mates who are reprising their respective characters from the Jurassic Park trilogy, will have major roles to play in the next Jurassic World sequel! Not only that, Colin also teases how Jurassic World Dominion is essentially the Jurassic movie he's wanted to make since the beginning! Read on for his quote...

Speaking to Collider recently, Trevorrow explained the following:

This is the movie that I’ve been waiting to make, from the beginning. It’s the one that we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of the design. I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum’s characters in this movie. It is very much an ensemble and that element and the ability to take these beloved characters from almost 30 years now, and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world that we’ve really never seen before and have not been able to witness until now is very exciting. I’m having the time of my life.

This is fantastic news! Not only is Trevorrow painting Jurassic World Dominion to be this titular culmination of a greater vision for the Jurassic franchise, but fans will be treated with a legitimately grounded inclusion of their favorite Jurassic Park characters instead of a quick, nostalgic fan service!

Jurassic World Rebirth did extremely well during its theatrical run, earning Universal Pictures over $860 million at the global box office! The film reportedly cost $180 million.
