Life found a way and the fourth Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World has been a massive success at the box office! Fans everywhere are praising the film and its creators for delivering a truly remarkable sequel to the franchise. Despite early skeptisism regarding the use of Velociraptors as hunting companions, as well as release date push-backs and script re-writes, Jurassic World has captured the imagination of the entire world and continues to deliver thrills and excitement in theaters across the globe.
The news of Jurassic World's success only continues to get better, with the talk of a sequel already in the pipeline! It comes to us as no suprise that following a record-breaking preview night and opening day, that Universal Pictures would be quick to announce plans for a follow-up. However the news hasn't come from the studio itself, but lead actor Chris Pratt, who while speaking to Entertainment Weekly announced that he's signed on for more Jurassic films. Initially, Universal planned to re-launch and re-brand the Jurassic Park franchise with a new trilogy, Jurassic World being the jump-off point and it seems these plans are going to come to fruition.
During the interview, Pratt discuses making Jurassic World and ends with a comical response to talk of a sequel; nonetheless confirming he will return for Jurassic World 2 and possibly even Jurassic World 3!
EW: What was the highlight of shooting this movie?
Pratt: It might not have been an actual moment. For me, my favorite part of the process was being in Hawaii with my family. Swimming, surfing and fishing, and doing runs and hikes all around there and then going to work in Hawaii. I want see if I can get a role on Hawaii Five-0 or something. If I could live there and work, I would.
EW: Are you signed on for a Jurassic sequel?
Pratt: I am. They have me for I think 38 movies or something.
