I hate it when you do that. I have a tendency to start raging before I even finish reading whatever it is that I see as BS.
I didn't even know there was a shotgun in that movie.
Last month, I stayed up until 10:00 PM watching a JP movie marathon on TV, and when I was asked if I wanted to stay up to watch the third one, I responded with "It's just Jurassic Park 3, not worth the loss of sleep."
I think we oughta start giving more attention to the Velociraptor now. Lately, it's all been about Rex, Spino, Gigo, and of other dinosaurs, except the Velociraptor. I think we should give re-birth to it on this forum.
@Rex Fan and Mr Happy, that's why I made sure to put a big space, heh. Love doing that.
I thought MrHappy would appreciate the gun mistake I pointed out ;)
I pointed that out in my one comment, and I was worried for a minute too.
Yeah, I know. Because there was such a big space, I didn't think there would be one, haha.
Also, this was the first Jurassic Park movie not being based on a book and not directed by Spielberg.
@Rex Fan, I know, I made sure to put "Just Kidding"
I was really worried there for a second Raptor. I was about to start flipping out, haha.
Personally, to me, that sounds quite accurate. If that REALLY happened to Spino, that is what would really happen!
Just kidding.
In the first movie, the T-Rex almost tripped over a log. In the second movie, two T-Rexes pushed a bus over a cliff. A T-Rex ran through a pane of low quality wall material. The T-Rex walked through a brick wall with no mortar. The T-Rex crushed a bus, a vehicle made of tin basically. All reasonable things that an eight ton animal could do.
In Jurassic Park 3, a f*cking plane hit the Spinosaurus and did NOTHING. The T-Rex stumbled when she hit the log. The Spinosaurus ran through a metal wall and didn't stumble or anything.
Well those small mistakes are like that in ALL movies.
It was also inconsistent. Examples...
Near the beginning of the movie, when Grant falls asleep on the plane, he dreams of seeing a Velociraptor beside him. The mistake is that the raptor is like the ones encountered later on the island, with features such as small quils on its neck. However, he had not yet encountered ones like this, only the ones he had seen on Isla Nublar.
Fight Scene
- On the part where the Tyrannosaurus fights the Spinosaurus the blood and guts are gone from the Parasaurolophus it was eating.
- A noticeable change in the color of green alternates between the T. rex animatronic and it's CGI model.
Extra
- When Dr. Grant dives in the water after they're attacked, he has his watch on his right hand before he dives in, but in the rest of the shots of Sam Neill, he has his watch on his left hand.
- In the scene where Nash borrowed the cellphone from Paul Kirby, he had a shotgun on his back, but when he fell to the ground, he had a rifle, which then switches back to a shotgun before he gets eaten.
That's just a few.
I'd say it was an okay movie, but hey, to be fair, they made T-Rex also practically invincible in the first two movies. So you can't really be mad at that. I would have liked it more if they had more of the "science" in it.
Spielberg wasn't directing, there wasn't a novel to base it off of, Jack Horner had too much say. That Spinosaurus ran through the wall no problem. Rexy nearly tripped on a fallen tree, forgot to mention that in the Spino BS part.
I do agree with most of the points you made, JP 3 did lack a lot of the "Jurassic" Atmoshpere to it.
It may have been that it wasn't speilburg directing it. It did have all the needed parts for a JP movie, they just weren't... Brought together right...
Dang it, I've already had my birthday this year.
X_paden_x i realize this. My computer was being slow and I kept clicking the button. Sorry for the extra 2 comments
I'll let you guys know what works out and what doesn't. It might be a month or two.
(I picked out 14 items for this. :D)
JPMan51, Three comments are not needed.
Nice chapter, as always.
Thank you everyone for your participatiopn!
Ha Ha Ha! Nedry suffocate a Dilophosaurus? No suprise he is huge! Good chapter anyway
WOW!!!!! I want to live in it!
It's a joke, I have seen all the movies.
Sweet. Be sure to let me know what you get..
PS- Is it the one in Morgantown, West Virginia? Because I'm going to that one too.
My dad and I are doing a fossil show now with fossils from this site! A BIG THANK-YOU TO REX FAN 684!!!!!! :D :D :D :D
[P.S. My dad gave me a budget of $1,000.00 to order stuff with. ;)]
Thanks so far guys. Like I said, tomorrow is Muldoon's Rescue and it takes place 10 years after this chapter.
Does Muldoon put a bullet in Nedry's head? I would actually like to see that. Great, now I have an idea for another story, if you don't mind me using this format that is.
That about sums it up MrHappy.
I know. Then again, Country uses the terms "truck" and "girl" a lot. Then again, I don't care, because the majority of it is actual lyrics.
Spoiler Rex Fan eventually some of these character will die ;)
The sad thing is, that it's true.
I'm not a fan of most music, so I'm glad there's country because the rest of it is so damn annoying to me. I saw this one picture, "The contents of pop music." Baby - 33% Yeah - 33% Oh - 33% Actual lyrics - 1%
There aren't a lot of people that don't like it. After all, it's pretty damn awesome. But then again, I like almost every type of music, with the exception of hardcore rock (the one where it sounds more like screaming random syllables) and pop (Justin Bieber -_-).
P.S. 'Roll that Barrel out' is a great song. Love it.
Big time UCMP, big time. I've actually recently come to terms with fact that I'm a redneck. Right now, I'm listening to Roll That Barrel Out by Dean Brody.
Nice chapter and good way to hint at who it was.
