The Juvenile
It was about a year and a half since Jurassic Park was abandoned, and Terrance and Muldoon went to the visitor centre. They went inside to take shelter from the rain storm that was happening outside, and Muldoon decided to look around while Terrance slept.
Muldoon opened one of the doors and walked in, unaware of the threat inside. He heard a growl, and he quickly left the room. Something followed him out, and Terrance woke up and saw it. Terrance walked over to it, and stepped between it and Muldoon.
Terrance bent down to see what it was, expecting it to be a Velociraptor. He was surprised to see it was a small Tyrannosaurus. Muldoon had went to the main room in the visitor centre, and Terrance was debating on what to do about the young Tyrannosaurus that stood before him.
Terrance saw the look of fear from the young Tyrannosaur, and walked up to it. He sniffed it as she tried to not get herself killed. Terrance recognized the youngster as female, and she growled at him. Terrance backed off, and the youngster recognized his intentions.
When he was done, he lied down, and the female cautiously approached him. She sniffed him, and then tried to bump snouts with Terrance. Terrance didn't mind, and a short time later, she curled up next to his chest. Terrance looked at her, and then curled around her.
Muldoon had watched what happened, and he got worried. "Looks like I'm going to have to sleep with one eye open now. That youngster is going to be a thorn in my side if it's anything like the big one when he was younger. At the same time, I didn't know the big guy had emotions, I thought he ate and slept without feeling anything about it."
Let's see who is the first to find the bit of foreshadowing in this chapter.
